One star for quantities. The Ramen is basically some strange flavor instant noodle.

EXPENSIVE and below average food. I ordered chicken breast teriyaki with broccoli instead of rice. The person I went with ordered the same thing, but got brown rice in addition to the broccoli. We were both charged the same, even though he got brown rice, which on the menu says it is an additional $ 2.50. I didn’t realize I got charged extra until mid meal. I didn’t bother saying anything because the people working were not personable at all and I didn’t feel it was worth the fight. Let’s just say, for chicken teriyaki with NO rice and some vegetables, it was almost $ 14! The place I go in Bellevue has much higher quality food for $ 5 less. Enough about price. Let’s talk food. Chicken breast teriyaki was probably chicken breast, but some pieces were definitely questionable… It could be because they were marinated before so they looked darker and the texture changed? Some of the chicken was tender and some was tough. It was a very odd combination of chicken textures. The broccoli was steamed and was fine, kind of hard to mess that up. The salad… regular iceberg lettuce and some weird dressing. I tried one bite and did not eat the rest. Overall, I do not recommend this place and will not be back. VERY overpriced and I felt the quality was low. I also think he charged me incorrectly(to their defense, I could have said something once I figured it out after I was done eating, but wasn’t worth it). There are other teriyaki places near by, so give one of those a tri instead.

Very delicious. Great portions. Loyal to this Teriyaki for take-out. Don’t overlook this as any average place. Our kids eat this up, two sharing one meal. Spice for my husband was just right. So good!

If you want huge quantities of low quality food than this is your place. Pretty much what you would expect from your standard teriyaki place. Good value for the money depending on what you get. My kids loved the chicken teriyaki and it was enough to feed both of them for two meals. There is also a brown rice option, which made the meal reasonably healthy. Side salad is just iceberg. Pretty much a throw away. My husband ordered veggie Pad Thai for us and this is less of a value. Still a huge portion but the addition of tofu made the whole order $ 11, which I would not consider cheap. Was enough for three meals total. Of course, if you want real Pad Thai go to a Thai restaurant. The noodles were surprisingly spicy and that’s all the good I have to say about the dish. Definitely not authentic. No vegetables, not enough tofu(even after spending extra for it), not enough of anything except noodles, noodles, and more noodles. Plus, they threw white rice into the container. Why would you need rice with an order of… rice noodles? Pure, cheap filler. Better value if you are a kid or a meat eater.

I ordered the vegetarian pad Thai. There was no one else in the store(Tuesday afternoon, 2:30pm) so I probably waited 10 minutes at most, maybe more like 5. I haven’t gotten pad Thai in forever so I forgot to mention how many stars — but the gentleman at the register also forgot to ask me. So when I returned home, my dish was practically inedible — it was so spicy! And I have a fairly high tolerance of spicy-ness for a white girl! But from what I was able to eat, it was pretty good! Not the best I’ve ever had(it was lacking some of the traditional add-ins; mostly noodles). Overall: pretty good pad Thai, though not«authentic», and you MUST say how spicy you want it! And great portion sizes ;) I’ll be back soon to try again.

Tried this place a few times, consistently disappointed. Chicken and beef, both are dry and tough, and teriyaki sauce tastes like its out of a jar(Costco, probably). Not worth the money.

I see the new owners there(couple) and they just seem so unhappy to be there. :(We avoid this place because of the vibe. They are just perched on their chairs and look out with vacant stares. Now if the food was outstanding, then who cares… but when you serve meh food :/

I’m surprised by the bad reviews on this place. I come here once or twice a week and I really enjoy their food. The portions are large, the quality is good and the food is flavorful. They have a basic menu with some Chinese entrées if you want a bit of variety. The owner is not a friendly guy, but he is nice enough. His wife and daughter are very sweet. All in all a great place to eat in Sammamish.

I was hoping for huge portions(like Inna B.‘s picture) like most of the reviews talked about. I ordered the #1 to go. I agree with another reviewer that there’s no joy in this teriyaki and I think that’s a good way to put it. There really wasn’t anything that would make me want to go back there for teriyaki. My immediate reaction was… Meh. The salad was particularly boring like most side salads but this one seemed particularly blah. I took the salad home and added some pea shoots from Uwajimaya for some dark green color, and tossed their sugary dressing, and made my own olive oil/balsamic vinegar/mustard and seasonings for that POP in flavor. For once it would be awesome to experience a side salad that was more exciting. Anyway, the service was good, friendly worker at the front, and fast… and that’s what bumped it up to 3. The food seemed expensive for the amount I got tonight but maybe it was an off night.

I was really hungry so I decided to grab some chicken teriyaki to-go. The food was prepared quickly and I was happy they remembered to put napkins and a fork in my bag(because some places forget). The salad that came with the teriyaki was alright. Standard teriyaki joint lettuce and dressing. The rice was also fine. The chicken… the chicken was tasty, but I got really unhappy when I realized that the entrée box was overflowing(too much chicken and a bunch of sauce pooling in the bag). I was not interested in carrying around a leaky teriyaki box all day and not interested in eating more chicken in one meal than I probably eat in a week or maybe even a month, so most of it ended up in the garbage. This«serving» would have been great for a group, but for me it was annoying and led to a stomach ache(even though I ate maybe 1⁄3 or ¼ of the food). The food was pretty tasty and a good value($ 10 could have probably fed 3 – 5 people) so I’m going to have to go with 4 stars… but I don’t want to get any entrees here in the future, and probably won’t go back at all.

Pleasant & friendly! One of my FAV family-owned ‘hole in the wall’ places to get #affordable, #nutritious #food ‘on the go’. They put so much meat in one order, I have enough for 2 – 3 meals, adding my own #veggies & it’s not ’ rice heavy’. You can also ‘eat in’, if you want a biz brunch or dinner on The Plateau. Cozy, light… perfect space for a home-cooked meal!

I’ve been here a couple times since I moved to Issaquah/Sammamish a couple years ago. They give huge portions — I had plenty left over for dinner and the next day’s lunch. I called my order for the chicken & katsu combo in and it was ready by the time I got there. It also comes with a side salad and I like their dressing-its a lemon flavored dressing. But like others have said, the chicken is dry, rubbery and covered in sauce. I felt like it used to be better when I first tried this place vs now.

I really like this place. Huge portions, yummy food, decent prices. I have tried the chicken teriyaki, yakisoba, and sweet & sour chicken– enjoyed them all. I also like that you can substitute fried rice for the white rice.

They were open on Sunday, today, when I went there at noon. There were about 4 other tables that were full :). I got the teriyaki chicken and gyoza special. It was good. Not anything to be excited about but good. It was a blend flavor. Service was good and quick.

It’s a clean place and the order was put together correctly, but there’s no joy in this food. My order of chicken teriyaki(#1) barely showed evidence of being grilled, it certainly didn’t taste that way. The sauce meets the definition of a teriyaki sauce, but it was uninspired enough to come out of a Kraft Foods bottle. Service was similarly hum-drum. I don’t need a convenience teriyaki joint to rock my world, but it does at least need to leave me satisfied. Next time I’ll pass.
