Reasonably priced food, alcohol, and comedy. What else can you really ask of a comedy club?

I’ve been to wiseguys a few times between the west valley location as well as their old location in trolley square. The new location in the Gateway mall is nice. It’s big and spacious. It doesn’t feel like it once you sit down though. I think the chairs are way too close together especially for a place that requires you to either order food or drink. I can’t count how many times the guy next to me elbowed my arm. The food I assume is the same as the trolley location which I can totally pass on. It’s typical frozen bar food that they heat up and bring out. This location does have a liquor licence which is nice when you want something other than beer. The service is severely lacking. They really should hire more servers. We waited a solid 30 minutes waiting for a bottled water and a club soda. When we brought it up to another waitress, our waitress had just walked up with a tray full of drinks; then she said to us in a tone that she was serving 60 people. If you have that may people to get food and drinks out to before the jokes start I think having a few extra people helping out wouldn’t hurt. The acts they bring in are usually pretty great, and the prices are reasonable for tickets. I’ve never had a bad time at wiseguys and probably never will. It’s a fun place to go for a cute and unique date night. Just eat before hand and don’t expect the best service.

I was extremely impressed with this place. The cleanliness, the quality of décor, tables, etc. I’ve been to other comedy clubs in LA and San Francisco and they are dirtier and more run down. This place must be newer. Either way, I enjoyed my experience here. The comedy was good and the drinks were fine. The space is bigger inside than it looks. We had dinner before the show so we didn’t eat but the food looked like typical«bar food.» Nachos, burgers, wings, quesadillas, etc. the drinks were fine but overpriced and weak. That’s what you get in Utah. It doesn’t matter what it is, it will only have 1 oz of liquor in it. Anyway, cool place.

Very busy night… The comedians were all so funny! The service on the other hand was horrible! I understand they were busy and under staffed, but the way I was treated by the server was unacceptable. I waited an hour for my first and only drink. Again I understand it was busy but after that hour she finally comes to our table, with only my boyfriends drink. She tells me they can not make my request. I said ok, she said to look at the menu to reorder. I looked, quickly decided, told the server as she was walking away what I wanted. She stopped, gave me a dirty look, raises her voice that she had other customers to take care of. I waited another half hour for my drink.(Which was good) The only reason I tipped her was to take care of the bartender and food runner. The only reason I gave 3 stars is for the rest of my experience. Coming from a server that knows how it is to have a bad night. I would NEVER treat a customer that way.

So when they were at trolley square the place was horrible, but the location closer to downtime is an improvement. And hopefully they have new management/owners because the former team was a little rough around the edges. Food — 1 stars(frozen bar grub) Service –2 stars Location — 3 stars Depending on the headliner 1 – 5 stars.

Great new location – WAY better than the Trolley Square location. There’s really not a bad seat in the house. Parking is easy and the club was easy enough to find. We had a great time seeing Margaret Cho there. It was a fantastic show!

I love comedy and I love that Wiseguys brings in good performers. My big complaint here is they have always lacked in service. I’ve been seeing performers at Wiseguys for years and I just expect the same ultra slow service as usual but the last time I went in there it just blew me away how bad it was. The problem exists with their system of order entry and delivery. The waitress comes around and takes 25 orders, then heads in the back somewhere and gets the drinks(unsure if they make their own or if there is actually a bartender), and then comes out balancing all the drinks with their pockets full of bottled waters and has to deliver the drinks one by one. Then they take another 25 orders and the process repeats. A simple PDA system and a drink runner would quadruple their efficiency and the place would sell more f&b, the servers would make more money, and the patrons would be happier. The last show we went to we didn’t even get our initial drink order in until half way through the main headliner, no joke. We were there sitting in the front 15 minutes before any of the openers even came on stage. It’s beyond me, such a simple fix, yet it’s «always been done that way in the past.» I propose a solution, make a table and seating chart, take drink orders in a consistent manner, send tickets to bar, runner takes drinks and food to assigned table and seat number. Hash out a plan, you’re losing money and patrons.

It’s pretty crowded, but that’s to be expected in any comedy club. Service was great and timely and the place was clean! Talent on the night we went was excellent. The MC was Guy Seidel. He’s hilarious and could be a headliner.

Great comics. Food and service were awesome. A couple of disappointing aspects though. The seating is very tight. There was no room between the chairs. The best seats seem to be the tables on the side with the bench seats. Also, the management needs to be more assertive with loud and obnoxious patrons. The headliner had to stop his show several times to address the people talking loudly in the front row during his show. I would go again but go early for better seats.

I love the new location! The atmosphere, food, and comedy are great. Some of the warm-up acts are hit or miss but the headliner did not disappoint. Drinks were great and my husband loved the nachos. We went to the first showing which I think is the way to do it otherwise you may need to wait outside for the second seating. Depending on the turnaround time. This is now my Husband and mine favorite date night event. Will be going more often.

We went during a 2 for 1 night, which felt like a good deal. We arrived to the 9:30 show at 9, as requested by their website only to be told to stand outside in the freezing cold till 9:30! No organization and terrible flow of getting people in and out of the building. The comedy was hit & miss. The headliner was fantastic and very funny. The food though… AWFUL! We ordered a slice of pizza and that was hands down the worse decision. Cold, disgusting, and the chicken definitely didn’t look like chicken. The service was decent, we did get our nasty food quickly, and she kept our drinks refilled throughout the night. In general, good atmosphere and fun night, but don’t go hungry! Worst food I’ve eaten in a long time!

Atmosphere and décor is great for a comedy club. Reasonable prices on food and drinks. However, the fat c#/t working the door gave nothing but dirty looks and terrible service. Treated us like vermin for visiting the place. Once seated I had to chase down a server to take our orders. She also had a sh#!ty attitude. And, it’s conveniently located near the drug traffic epicenter of our city. That means lots of cops and crackheads in the vicinity. Really dissapointed. Better when it was in west valley. And that’s saying something.
