I love a good dive bar, but there are standards. It should be fairly clean(their bathroom is DISGUSTING), drinks should be free of body hair(WTF was that?!), and the crowd should not be stalking around as though they’re eager to drop roofies in your cocktail. The music is way too loud and patrons get far too drunk by 9pm. There are way better spots in SLC.

Best place for cheap drinks in SLC. I’m always greeted with a smile and a beer.

Not so much of a divey bar, but a divey club. Dance floor is pretty small, drinks are super cheap and the atmosphere is super loud! Guess the music didn’t help either but you pretty much have to yell across the room to talk to the person in front of you. There was a good turn out for a Wednesday night in Utah. Would I come back here again … Hmm … maybe for a cheap night out where I don’t feel like dressing up and just want to dance like no one is watching. There is a $ 10 credit card minimum but since drinks are so cheap, it’s easily attainable.

I held a birthday party there and was able to bring in my own decorations, cake, etc. The staff was amazing, very attentive and friendly all night long. The little food truck out back was great and surprisingly delicious even for a picky vegetarian like me! It was great meeting the owner who made it a point to come introduce himself. We will definitely be back. Thanks for making our party great!

This place was awesome! Went in Tues night for trivia and $ 7 pitchers. $ 2 Llager and Crown shots for those that don’t work Weds. Loved it, I’ll be back

We held our end of season kickball party here and the staff and owner were amazing. For our $ 1600 tab, we started with beer only and after an hour and a half went open bar. The tab that usually last about an hour and a half held for 3 hours. Drink prices, staff, and a bad ass karaōke DJ made our party a rousing success! Definitely will be back!

The nicest dive bar in SLC. Drink prices can’t be beat. Two pool tables, foosball table, tv’s, what else is needed?

Cheap. Cheap, cheap, cheap! This is the dive bar to end all dive bars. It’s tiny, it’s oddly shaped, but the service is quick, efficient, and the drinks are unreasonably cheap. Did I mention it’s cheap? If you’re looking to get tanked for less than $ 20, Willie’s is the place to go.

We have had a lot of fun here. Very dive, but what we are sometimes looking for in a night. The bartender, Todd, is one of the best in SLC. The jukebox has a great selection too. The only downside is if you run into the ever-drunk Wolfman. He is a bit of a trip, so keep your distance if you see a large old hippie in tie-die.

Service is great, staff is great, owner is great. I think this is a good place to come with your buddies, and they let you order outside food and have it delivered there. The owner did a drink special for us. These factors make me love this place if you are just coming to hang out with a few friends. I’ve been here for trivia and karaōke. The sound system is not very good and there isn’t much of a designated space. The PA is shoved in one corner(I’m comparing to VFW for karaōke and Green Pig for trivia). The management was very kindly accommodating by letting us reserve a table for karaōke but our group had a hard time enjoying the karaōke because our table was on the far side(next to the bar) and the karaōke area was at the other end of the room. We couldn’t hear our friends(or even see them without a clearing or platform) enough to cheer them on. I will be back to hang out but not for karaōke or trivia.

It doesn’t get much divier than this. Pluses: Cheap drinks, close proximity to two other bars/a few restaurants, no assumptions/judging about what you look like, sports on TV Minuses: Pretty much everything else. Especially the bathrooms. What can I say, I’m a sucker for dives. Don’t go here expecting anything other than a cheap quick drunken stupor. And possibly crabs if you leave with anyone else.

This place is small but it’s fun with friends If you like to karaōke. They have two dollar shots so that helps you and your wallet! The pool tables are in good shape and you can request any song you want. Stay away from the vending machine. It just eats your money up leaving you disappointed. Like when you can’t climax during sex.

This is a fun little hideaway, nothing special, but not pretentious in the least, either. Bring all your friends and you can take over the place and instill your personal vibe upon it.

This place is the kind of sweet dive bar that doesn’t make you feel shitty about drinking at 2 in the afternoon! It also is the kind of dive bar where, as a 20-something lady, I would only go to with the safety of numbers.

Came to Willie’s this week for our first ever Geeks Who Drink trivia night. It was a lot of fun! The other patrons were very friendly and the drinks were very cheap. We met the owner, and he was super nice! Also, WEWERETHETRIVIACHAMPIONS! First place. In trivia. This victory probably confirms your suspicions that I am a genius, dear reader. MINETOO! So I’ll be back. Not just because I am now in possession of a $ 30 Willie’s gift certificate, but also because we had a great night!

My first visit to Willies was an Epic success! I ended up here on a Saturday night by random happenstance and I’m super glad I did. The bar is a total dive with hipsters O plenty. We were looking for Karaōke and Karaōke we found. The KJ was nice her equipment not so much! Oh well we pretty much had the microphones to ourselves and a captive audience. The rare occasion someone outside of our group did sing the song choices were very tolerable. No achy breaky heart here. The beer was cheap and so were the woman, with a handful of roller derby girls up dirty dancing on the tables. Bathroom was a single stall but it was clean so I can deal with the wait. If I find myself in SLC again looking for Karaōke I will most def be back!

This place is not for everyone for sure. But if you love the dive bars as much as I do? You will definitely love coming to this place. Super cheap drinks and a surprisingly good selection of beers on tap. You will not find any high end alcohols here. Just simple but the ones you need to make most drinks. And I was surprised how big it was once I was in. I will be back real soon.
