Never coming back here. Needed assistance finding one thing– took me 15 minutes to track down a single employee, who told me they didn’t work in that department and I’d have to find someone else. Kept this up until someone was willing to page the correct person back to the area. 10 minutes later someone finally comes strolling back. First the employee gives me grief because he’s «never heard of what I’m looking for» so I have to go into an in depth description of what a damn box looks like(instead of maybe just looking it up online or with the sku I already had on hand), then tells me «oh ya I already looked for those earlier we don’t have them in stock». Really? So a thing you’ve never heard of you actually HAVE heard of and you already know they aren’t in stock? He never even bothered to pull out a scanner and look, and instead just turned and walked away from me. So my husband and I head out, frustrated because this is supposedly the only store in the valley that has this item in stock, when he stops and heads down another aisle and voila! Finds the item in a nonesensical place after 45 minutes searching for something that should have taken 5 minutes. Overall it’s the employees attitude that really upset me– I felt like the only one that bothered to make any sort of effort was a sweet girl that didn’t even work in that department(she was from electronics), and the other 4 employees blatantly brushed us off instead of bothering to even make an attempt. In the future I’ll be paying the few extra dollars and extra 10 miles out of my way to go to target, where there is some semblance of organization and their employees actually assist customers.

Very deceptive pricing. And the store will not honor a pricing mistake it made. I used to love going to this location but will no longer.

best walmart in slc. if i have to go to walmart, I will go out of my way to go to this one. It’s less crowded, and the employees(Matt is awesome!) are actually knowledgable. Matt helped me get a New 3DS xl on their midnight release, and when they didn’t have the game i was looking for, even helped me to find a store that did A++

Terrible customer service, clueless associates, don’t trust if you make an online order even if get confirmation from that ready for pickup that it truly is. Waste of time, will never do business with again.

This review is for the(fairly) new location on Parley’s Way were Kmart used to be. I really like this Walmart not because of its products/organization, but because the staff is nice compared to other Walmarts, and it is never crowded! Also, there are killer bargains you won’t find at other stores because people have already bought them out. Don’t go here so I can still go to my un-crowded local Walmart!

I like the store, it’s less crowded, cleaner and with a less seedy looking crowd than the larger Walmart on the East side of town. Selection in the produce area is pretty good, but if you go by late in the evening they may be out of some select items(eg. kale, brussel sprouts). Also some of the produce turns quickly(clementines with mold on them 1 week later?!). Prices here are a little better than the nearby grocery stores, but the hours aren’t easy to come by and they need to have an answering machine with their hours listed.

I promised an update after several weeks of grocery runs. Synopsis: I am still a fan. The only real grocery areas this place fails at are quality fresh meats, fish and some more diverse ethnic items. Veggies are surprisingly the equal of most places in town(skewing better than most), and usually cheaper. Nowhere in town really excels on the vegi front(even the fanciest gourmet places have happily sold me junk time to time), except maybe farmers markets if you have the time and energy. For items like canned goods, cleaning products, cereals, drinks, frozen foods, most dairy, packaged items etc. this place wins price wise every single time. Moreover you can buy a dozen eggs at the same time as checking out hunting rifles, LEDTV’s, Lynrd Skynryd tshirts and bath towels. You can even do it post-ironically like me if it makes you feel better about the whole process too. And again, this place is usually deserted. Its clean, calm and has more parking than you can shake many sticks at. Sure I might need to hit up Harmons for a steak here and there, South East Asian Market for my fish sauce and sriracha and Black Cherry Market for basmati rice — but I’ll do the bulk of my shopping here, save a ton of cash, and won’t feel the slightest bit guilty about it.
