We registered childbirth class and it’s supposed to start at 7. No one showed up and the room door was locked. I called the number on the instructions at the door and got transferred through 3 departments and no one has any information. On our way back home, some stuff finally called me back and explained there were confusion about the location. Why can’t they figure out earlier? If they charge money, they should be prepared and responsible for informing registrants ahead of time. Never go back!

I have taken three of the myriad of classes offered by the U of U hospital. Birth hypnosis is a great class taught by Claire Stanley and Elizabeth Smith. They have many years of experience of working as a doula and as birthing educators. I also took the«basic breastfeeding» course with Kristi Thompson and it was short but informative, worth the $ 30(minus 25% discount for U of U staff). The parenting class is not as useful, in my opinion. The most informative part of the parenting class was a video about postpartum relationship issues, which I probably could have found online or at the local library. I wanted to learn more about infant CPR, diapering and baby sleep habits but these topics are only briefly touched upon.
