Went to starbucks for the tree lighting festival and decided to stop for a coffee first. When we got there the line was basically out the door it took 10 min alone to get up to the cash register. When we go there I ordered a few of the same drinks and a couple coffees the cashier was slow and unfriendly.(I know they were busy but they moved with no sense of urgency) so after the painful experience at the register we waited another 10 min to get our drinks which was also a disaster… first drink mess up: kids Carmel apple spice at 110degree– what we got a hot apple juice that was adult temp so my son couldn’t drink his drink until it was cool enough. Second drink mess up: chestnut praline what I got Carmel brûlée even though the sticker said chestnut. Every Carmel apple spice drink was just a hot apple juice. They also didn’t ring me for my last drink so we had to sit there while our other drinks were ready so they could make us a drink that I clearly ordered, but the complicated cashier didn’t ring in. Just a bad experience at this location I’ll be avoiding it in the future. Get your life together gateway sbux!

Starbucks really needs to start end user testing their locations. This one is another logistical fail on the flow of customers. There is not enough room for a line to form and too little room for people to stand and wait for their coffee and not block the cream/sugar station. Building looks cool but is not functional.

Despite the Mormon prohibition against caffeine and strong drinks, Starbucks does a thriving business. The location is small and oddly shaped, situated on the second floor of a promenade-mall. The mall here always seems to be on the verge of being a ghost town.

The staff in here is very friendly! I moved up to slc a few months ago, and was sad when I went to the Starbucks at Trolley Square because the staff isn’t too friendly there, and I was used to being a familiar face at the Orem location, where they knew wha drinks I like, greeted me with a smile and questions about my day and life, and always just haver discounts. I wish the staff at Gateway were working at Trolley because that’s close to my home, and the staff at gateway remind me of the Orem staff. The guy at Gateway asked me what were my favorite drinks, and tailored a drink just for me that was amazing! Maybe I was just lucky with the night staff last night, but they were great regardless and made a superior drink!

The smallest Starbucks I have ever visited. There are four lounge chairs, with one awkwardly positioned to effectively limit use to all but the closest of friends, or those that enjoy intertwining legs with strangers. Five small tables and a decent-sized laptop computer station provide seating for eleven more. The staff was attentive, knowledgable, courteous and fast — easily earning 5 stars on this visit.

I personally think this Starbucks could do a bit better on the time they take making the drinks. I understand it’s always packed… so maybe hiring one more peep would help with the speed of their service, and that way also eliminate the stressed face of some of their workers. They are all friendly and the place is clean.

A small location with limited indoor seating, but when the weather is nice, outdoor seating allows for endless people watching and fresh air. Friendly staff from my experience, and quick service. Be prepared for the somewhat irregular space inside — the line to order can be a bit cramped due to the design of the store, but nevertheless worth a stop for a drink while shopping or wandering The Gateway!

This was the Starbuck’s I frequented on a regular basis for two and half years while I worked at a store in the Gateway. Pros: Coffee. Starbucks coffee. Cons: The staff here has a turnover of about 15 days. They are usually rushed, scattered, and the drinks takes longer than they should. It’s a small Starbuck’s, so there isn’t much room on the«Here’s your drink!» side to stand while you wait, so it can sometimes get too close for comfort.
