You can’t go wrong at Nordstrom. One of the best places in SLC to grab lunch. High quality sandwiches, soups, salads and the like. The chicken tomatillo soup was fabulous, served with freshly sliced lime… amazing. The turkey and avocado sandwich was also delicious. A regular staple for me. Seems to be a power lunch spot as well.

Everything here was very good. We started out with the Sweet Potato Jalapeño soup — the soup of the day, and it was amazing. I’m not normally a fan of spicy food and it was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I got the Corned Beef Reuben and my date got the Crab Mac and Cheese(another chef’s special). My Reuben was good, only complaint is that the bread on the bottom was soggy from all of the juices. I think this is because they use a fairly thin rye bread. My boyfriend liked his mac and cheese, but it wasn’t anything out of this world. The French fries are FANTASTIC. Big chunks of salt on thin fries. So yummy. Also the lemonade here is really good and refilled often. The service was good, at one point we were the only people in the restaurant so all of the employees were talking and playing around with each other. Not really an issue, though I could’ve done without hearing their personal conversations.

Everything here is fantastic… Seriously… You can’t go wrong. I love the Tomato Jam Jar or the Potato Latkes for starters, but the dish that keeps me coming back is the Turkey Chili. It’s infused with Mexican spices and topped with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream. Yummmm. A side of warm flour tortillas are served along side the chili and make for the perfect«fill-in-spoon!»

Awesome little restaurant tucked inside Nordstrom! Warm comfortable atmosphere and delicious food. A friend and I shared the chicken pot pie soup and possibly one of the best burgers we ever had. It was served on a brioche bun and it just melted in my mouth. Ended the meal with a French Press(perfect for two) and their chocolate toffee cake perfect combination. The best part however was our server Regan, he was funny and engaging(exceptional) Wonerful overall experience!

We stopped by Sixth and Pine recently for lunch and I was IMPRESSED. Nice ambience and delicious, high quality food. I got the California club sandwich with sweet potato fries and I have not stopped thinking about it since! Fresh avocado, thick slices of turkey and crispy bacon… yum! Their sweet potato fries were also nice and crispy. It is a bit expensive for lunch, but well worth it!

We love this place!!! I happened to stop in for a quick bite and just for a side salad and fries. Well, I fell in love with those fries and awesome horseradish aioli! I immediately took my family back, multiple times. We also love the BLT, and the chocolate mousse dessert. I’m looking forward to trying more. And I’ll definitely be enjoying baskets of fries, often.

I was starving and the Sixth & Pine burger hit the spot for me. I was a little hesitant to try it because I have a very high bar for burgers, but I’m super glad I did — the angus beef was delicious, the brioche roll was toasted perfectly, and I loved the roast onions. Only downside was the fries with the horseradish aioli — it was just a very strong horseradish flavor, and I wanted a bit more complexity. Plus, I preferred the aioli served with fries at my local Nordstrom. But all in all, a great burger and meal.

The first thing I noticed was that we had a great view of temple square from our booth. My wife had talked this place up so I was looking forward to trying it for myself. There was a chefs special menu on the table with 3 items on it. Our waitress informed us that one of them was sold out. I ordered a sandwich and my wife got the shrimp salad from the special menu. About 10 min later the waitress returned and said the shrimp was out too. I thought she was joking at first, there’s no way two of the three specials were sold out? Well they were. My sandwich was pretty good I must admit. It was on the small side though and I didn’t really leave feeling very full. There was nothing that stood out to me about eating here other than the view. I would give this place another chance, but not by decision, only if the wife wants to go back.

Located on the 2nd floor of Nordstrom in the City Creek Center. My husband and I decided to grab a late lunch here on a Monday(Dec 21) a little before 2 pm. The place was pretty empty for the most part, but we were seated at a booth. We were eventually greeted by our server(not initially) and ended up ordering: Cilantro Lime Chicken Salad, $ 11.25 prior to tax– I ordered this salad and requested the dressing to be on the side(which is what I got). I thought the dressing was pretty good and I did like this salad. But I was not a fan of the shredded cheese. If I was to order this plate again, I would ask to omit it. The salad was made with the healthy dark green leafys and had a nice added amount of corn, pumpkin seeds and beans(which gave this salad a more heartier bite and added texture). The amount of chicken was plenty for me. Chicken & Strawberry Salad, $ 10.95 prior to tax– My husband ordered this salad and I actually liked his salad a little bit more than mine. His salad had a nice sweet taste because of the dressing(cherry balsamic vinagrette) and the strawberries. I wasn’t too keen of the goat cheese in this, but I’m glad there wasn’t nearly as much cheese on his salad as there was on mine. I liked that this salad was made with a spring mix of salad and spinach. — — — — — — — — — (Total= $ 23.94 after tax prior to tip) Service was not attentive. Our server came by our table about a total of 4 times(once to take our order, another time to check what we thought of our food, one time to take away some, not all, of our dirty dishes and another time to bring us the bill). Also I was not a fan of a long wait for our food. Salad doesn’t take that long to make, so I am not sure why there was a wait. I wished there were some complementary bread for us while we waited for our food, but I guess this restaurant does not offer that. Although I did like our food, I wouldn’t come back because of the wait time and service. By the way, this restaurant does validate(up to 3 hours) so be sure to bring in your parking ticket. And also you can pay with your Nordstrom store card if you do have as well.

Loved it Atmosphere-classy and clean Service-great never an empty glass Food-yummy I ordered a really yummy chicken and strawberry salad. Loved the marinated onions and the cherry balsamic dressing. We also ordered the kale Apple salad and it was delicious! Of course when you are out and their special is pumpkin donut holes with ice cream and they serve the donut holes hot you all just have to have a moment while you savor it! Yum! We got a side of fries for the kiddos and the dipping sauce– mercy!!! What is that?! So good! We really loved the place! Would for sure go back.

We all 4 ordered salads. I’d say pretty simple salads, they were all tasty. Pricy for what we got but what do you expect it’s a restaurant located inside Nordstrom. Clean, classy, quick and quiet. It was a busy weekend in town and we got there before the rush. They had a wait when we left but glad we checked it out.

We really enjoyed this place at the mall. The location was hard to find as it was in the mall itself but we were very glad we did. We started off with the latkes, which were delicious. The chive cream cheese was money. We ordered the burger and turkey bacon melt. The burger was really great and the bun was a perfect soft buttery compliment. I exchanged the fried for a salad with a green type vinaigrette. I can’t remember the exact type of dressing but it was perfectly sweet and flavorful. I can’t rave enough about this dressing. It went very well with the salad. Definitely glad we stopped by.

I’ve only been here twice, but I’ve had such great experiences both times I’ve visited that it’s worth the 5 stars! I can’t believe that it isn’t more packed, but I kind of like knowing about a secret place in the back of Nordstrom. The first time I went for a birthday party on a weekday. There were decorations and we brought in desserts from another vendor, but the waitstaff was totally cool about it. They brought us out extra plates and let us stay as long as we wanted.(There was hardly anyone there.) My husband and I split two entrees: Crisp Roast Chicken with Fingerling Potatoes and the Classic French Dip. Amazing! The chicken was moist and so flavorful but crispy skin on the outside. And I loved the potatoes. There was a nice mustard sauce on the chicken that went perfectly with the potatoes. So good, so good. The classic french dip looks small arranged on the plate, but it’s great. It has a lot of meat and even though the bread looks crispy, it softens up real nice in the au jus. We opted for sweet potato fries(which you should too). The fries came with a thin cilantro dipping sauce that was muy muy bien. Last weekend I went again, and was looking for something lighter on the wallet and the belly. I chose the Chicken, Apple & White Cheddar Salad. Again, DIVINE. The apples were so thinly sliced that they were easy to chop up and spread throughout the salad. The cheddar was good and sliced in thick chunks so you could really appreciate the flavor of each individual bite. I was new to marinated red onion but LOVED them. They were soft, but not too soft. The pecans were a nice surprise crunch and of course the foundation of arugula was bright and light.(Chicken also very good. Moist. Uncomplicated. Allowed the other flavors to shine but still left you full.) So good, people. I want to go back right now. P. S. Don’t forget to ask for validations!

The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. The burger bun is like a croissant and is too buttery.

I stopped by Sixth & Pine recently with a friend and I’m a fan. We shared the latkes, cilantro lime chicken salad, and the French dip. The latkes were nice and crispy and I felt like the portion size was great. It was a lot bigger than I was expecting. The salad was also a decent size, plenty enough for us to share. It wasn’t mind-blowing but it was satisfying. The sandwich was pretty tasty and I loved the fries with aioli. The ladies at the front seemed a little confused or frazzled when we first showed up. We had a reservation and they said they didn’t have any booths available. Friend pointed out that one was being cleaned right in front and we said we didn’t mind waiting for it. It was cleaned and ready but they didn’t make any moves to come over and let us know it was available. Finally, we walked back over and it seems they forgot about us. No harm I suppose. Our server more than made up for the weird initial service. I wish I remembered his name but he was prompt, friendly, and just overall fantastic. He split both the salad and sandwich for us without a word from us. That was a really nice touch and made sharing a lot easier.

Nice touches to some of the basics. We stopped in late, after some Christmas shopping, to fortify ourselves before we wandered out to see the lights. We shared the ricotta appetizer. The pesto tasted so fresh, but keep in mind, the tomato jam is QUITE sweet. I like a mix of sweet with my savory, but if you don’t, then you’re maybe looking at the wrong dish. We had the burger, and the sharp cheese is a nice balance to the balsamic onion(though I wish we could have a bit smaller piece of onion). The burgers were cooked perfectly and the aioli is a nice, pungent treat for the fries. The potatoes were a bit soggy and undercooked, but as they seemed pretty packed, I’ll forgive them this.

I had a mad craving for chicken and waffles. This should come as no surprise to anyone. I did my due diligence on Unilocal, stopped and asked for directions here, there, and voilà! I ended up at Sixth and Pine. I was super surprised to find it was inside and a part of Nordstrom. Without even perusing the menu, I ordered the chicken and waffles. I didn’t care what the specials of the day were. I was plenty disappointed that I couldn’t get a bloody Bloody Mary as they don’t serve booze. WTF?! I guess I’m not all that shocked, I am in Utah after all. I quickly remedied that as soon as my lovely server was gone I dumped one of my little travel size vodkas in my drink. Take that, Utah! My order of chicken and waffles came out after a small wait and it was beautiful. The chicken was very moist and crispy but was really bland and flavorless. Insert sad panda face here. My server was on the ball. She was checking in with me right away and I let her know that the waffle was terrific but the chicken was a let down and why. She told me its usually not that way and she took it off my bill. I told her no, she didn’t have to do that as I intended to eat it anyway. But she insisted. I really tipped her well. I doubt I’ll have the opportunity to come back and find out how the chicken is another time but given the chance, I totally would! What awesome service.
