Ok sushi if you are really hungry it’s all you can eat for $ 15.95 lunch… presentation is not the best. See photos no finesse here just food. Not like Japan for sure and very Americanized sushi. But hey what do you want for this price? Some places charge that much for two rolls. It’s not quality but lots of quantity and today it’s perfect!!!

Above average sushi but it comes at a great price for all you can eat lunch made to order.

Great concept, and hard to pass up. All you can eat for $ 22.95 is a deal. My server was delightful, the greeter pleasant, and the food came quickly. My real complaint is about the rice-it was way too sticky and wasn’t made with exactitude. I have been eating sushi in San Francisco(where I live) for 35 years, and I have never had such mediocre rice. Since it is literally the foundation of sushi maki, it should be delicious-it wasn’t.

The décor was ok. The sushi was ok. The service was not that great. The server was kinda a skater kid that really didn’t care and it showed. For the price of what you get it was ok. Over all experience ok

The only positive of this restaurant is that they have a killer $ 15 Lunch/$ 20 Dinner all you can eat special. The negative is that their sushi is disgusting. You could eat three different rolls that all taste the same. The waiter is very attentive which I liked but the chefs would constantly forgot to fill all sushi orders, and mind you I was one of 4 customers in the restaurant at that time. No idea how the chefs handle a full restaurant. Either way, I won’t be going back.

Simply Sushi is Simply Gross. Presentation was terrible but also it tastes terrible with the gobs of sauce that was loaded on top of the sushi. I won’t be coming back here. And I realize they have an all you can eat special but we ordered our ‘à la carte’- it was awful. However, upon checking out, we told the girl of our situation and she comped is two rolls. Awesome customer service.

I enjoyed my experienced here. My expectations weren’t very high and Simply Sushi met them. The sushi wasn’t out of this world good but the low prices helped the sushi taste better. The service was good and the food came quickly even during a busy lunchtime in downtown Salt Lake City. If I’m in the area and feeling sushi there is a 50⁄50 chance I’ll head back.

I used to love coming to this place since it was pretty cheap and their rolls were actually good. But when I went in today it was horrible. The rolls all tasted off and didn’t have half the ingredients it said it should. The only thing good about this place is the costumer service, the waiters were kind and extremely attentive. Just sad to see this place has hit rock bottom

The sushi is good. It’s not like the more expensive options, but for the price this place is hard to beat. The taste is good the fish is good. But like I said you can’t compare it to the more expensive places as what you pay for 1 or 2 rolls you get all you can eat here.

Not even near being great sushi but I still come here if I’m hungry and need something close to sushi at a good price.

5 stars… why? It’s not for the sushi. It’s not very fresh, and made by amateurs. It’s not for the smokin all u can eat lunch special… It’s for the insanely ridiculous Japanese game show that they play on the TV – utterly mesmerizing! It’s like watching an intentional train wreck. It’s so asinine that it’s brilliant! And very addictive. When I visit Salt Lake I simply must revisit my favorite train wreck – I mean, sushi house!

So let me start off by saying, they say don’t eat fish/sushi if the state isn’t close by the ocean! I TRULY believe that now! I wish I didn’t have to give a star, cuz I wouldn’t!!! I’ve had sushi in Utah before @ a different sushi place and nothing happen. It was good. So my friends and I came here since it was all you can eat for like $ 23. I wasted $ 30!!! I got FOODPOISONING!!! Yeah, I had a bunch of sushi. I can’t even remember all of it, but @ the time it tasted good. I had the seaweed salad too. That night, actually not even before we left the restaurant I started feeling bubbles in my stomach, and I figured well I probably ate too much lol. I know I ate too much, but hey it was AYCE! NO! I was stuck in the bathroom that next day all day. And not to be graphic, but it wasn’t just coming out from one end either, get my drift. It was the worse food poisoning I’ve ever had! Right when I thought I was done, I would to back to my bed and right when I get comfy, I had to leave it to go back to the bathroom! I was actually sick for three days. Not stuck in the bathroom, but I couldn’t eat a lot of solid foods. It soup for me. And crackers. What a way to ruin my business\vacation trip! The only good things were the water cups were huge and our server was nice. Also my other friend got sick too. She wasn’t in the bathroom as much as I was, thank goodness since we only had one bathroom since we were staying @ a hotel, but she was SICK too. It also says on the menus… MUSTTIP. WTH?! Like yeah of course you should tip, but stating that is just wrong and rude. It makes me Not want to. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from here!

Came here a few friends because majority of us voted to have some sushi since we couldn’t find a damn Korean BBQ type of restaurant. $ 22.95 for an all you can eat sushi sounds enticing but don’t be fooled by it. Two of my girl friends ended up having food poisoning the next day and it was really, really bad. Glad I didn’t get food poisoning though. Our server was actually nice. I don’t like how they’ve written on their menu that you MUST tip. Really?

This place is all you can eat sushi so I thought I would give it a try since I love sushi. We tried the lunch menu and it wasn’t too bad. The upside down spicy shrimp was delicious and probably my favorite. All other rolls were decent for the price that we paid $ 15 per person. Other than all you can eat sushi, you can also eat as much miso soup and edamame you want(miso soup doesn’t have seaweed in it which makes me super sad). Since I can’t eat much in one sitting, I don’t think this place is great for me. If you can eat a ton in one sitting then this might be the place for you. The dinner menu seems like a better option for $ 7 more I believe. Bigger rolls with better ingredients.

I’ve had better. Having said that you pay for what you get. I only come here because for 25(dinner price) bucks you can eat until you can’t eat any more. My husband and I have done this several times. It’s also good to note that their sushi isn’t bad I’ve just had better. My favorite is probably the crunch coconut one. Their miso isn’t worth having at all, I can buy that same packaged miso from the store and make it my self. The staff is friendly and prompt and they always have a hilarious Asian show on. The way you order is a bit different, they give you a paper to fill out and the waiter takes it and brings out your rolls. If you want more you simple fill out another sheet. I kind of like this system because I don’t feel rushed while I pore over their large menu. I have been here several times but if it’s a special occasion I’ll be going some place else.

KOBE– ask for him. He’s a great server. He was always sufficient when it came to refilling waters, getting our orders out and made and making sure we were taken care of. Prompt service is hard to find let alone at a chain for all you can eat sushi. The sushi rolls weren’t filled with too much rice this time. The tempura rolls are always a safe bet but we had the tuna nigiri and it was fresh and tastes great. Rangoon rolls are filled with cream cheese and salmon wrapped around pastry dough and deep fried. They look like cute little hot pockets. I recommend them! The hand rolls come with a ton of fish so that’s always great to get as well. King kind tempura roll was my dates favorite. Simply Tuna nigiri– seared lightly with pepper and topped with crab, avocado and eel sauce. Delish! I recommend getting the dinner AYCE over the lunch menu for AYCE . The dinner menu has a run more choices to choose from. I will be back!

This was the worst place i’ve ever had sushi. And i eat a lot of sushi. It’s probably my favorite type of food. The fish didn’t smell fresh and it tasted old. The temp seemed off and the fish texture was kind of soggy. We opted for some all you can eat thing when we were there, which comes with rules like, you must finish the entire roll before you can order another and you can’t share. That’s fine. But the fact that it was so gross to eat, i had an impossible time choking just the first roll down so i could order and try another. The second was also blah so i just gave up and said forget it. I thought about throwing them under the table and pretending like i ate it but the third roll would have likely been an equal disappointment. My husband was having the same issues with his rolls. Maybe they give you gross food when you order the all you can eat so you don’t eat everything they have. Full disclosure we haven’t been there in quite some time. Maybe things have changed but i wont be going back to find out.

Great spot! I work downtown, and probably come here once every other week for the all you can eat lunch. There is a Latina who works during lunch and she is the fastest roller I’ve ever seen! For something simple, the Crazy California is always a good choice, and usually what I start with. I’d also suggest the Philadelphia, King Kong, yellowtail nigiri, and anything with the sweet sauce. I always end with a Mango Tango, because it is fresh, light, and has huge chunks of the mango.
