Always delicious, can’t go wrong with there Veggie Burrito! Love how you can customize your burrito. Their salsas are always great very mild for my liking but still good! Great service and atmosphere, also they are open Sunday’s!

I always go to Rubios for their fish taco and burrito, the fish taste really good with the variety of sauce. I would love to try more of their seafood product. Every time I go, I enjoy their great service. The manager is really nice and always looks so happy. I would recommend this place for anyone who like Mexican food or seafood.

Good fish tacos for when you need a fix here in Utah. Since there aren’t too many fish taco places in the city, Rubio’s is a decent choice. I ordered to go and the lady was friendly and had my order ready in rapid time. I liked the side of beans and chips too. It’s probably been a decade since I last ate at a Rubio’s, so this was pleasant to say the least.

What a complete surprise! I’m sitting outside, next to a lovely stream, enjoying the perfect fall day and having an amazing meal! The fish tacos are perfection, with a perfectly proportion of beans and chips on the side. I love the little touches of ceramic plate and silverware. Best dining experience and all for under $ 10! Rubies in sugarhouse just became one of my fave spots. Oh– and they have beer too!!!

We stopped here for lunch on a whim, and are so happy that we did. We are weekly guests at Café Rio and I have eaten at Chipotle locations around the country. We tried the California Bowl(think Chipotle burrito bowl) and also the enchilada plate. Both were amazing. The bowl was so fresh it made the Chipotle bowl taste like last week’s left overs. They have 4 self serve salsas which are varied and full of flavor, and the enchilada sauce is robust like La Frontera’s. I wish there were one in Sandy, UT.

Excellent!!! …I finally found a Rubio’s up here that is honest and great! :) …I was worried about having to go Rubio’s free up here because I was royally ripped off by the other two Rubio’s here in SLC. I moved here from Phoenix where every Rubio’s gives you a true fish portion in the taco where you can actually taste fish and experience a fish taco rather than corn tortilla and sauce. I was wonderfully delighted at dinner to finally have Rubio’s back ***This Sugarhouse Rubio’s is the only one to go to up here!*** The other two suck, and suck bad.

Affordable, quick, and delicious food. This location is not as nice as the one on 4 South. However, because it is not as busy, you do get your food quickly. Not the best Mexican in town but it is pretty darn good. Will be back.

I am confused why this location would have 4 stars! The cashier was rude. Her coworkers were no help at all and very unprofessional. The salsa bar was disgusting. Such a mess and not stocked. I didnt even get salsa. The cup lids were dusty that I didn’t even grab one. I had to wipe off my plastic fork just to feel better about using it. The bathroom wasn’t clean or stocked. The tables were a mess and I had to wipe it off myself just to sit down. Not to mention the wait was ridiculous. If I hadn’t just drove 12 hours from Arizona with my 2 girls we would’ve left. Then as I’m sitting here an order after us get served before us. How is that? Will not come back!

Fresh food, typical fast food prices($ 6-$ 9) and a fresh, clean, well-stocked salsa bar. Their burritos are the perfect size(really filling but not Chipotle-gigantic) and they offer a whole-wheat tortilla so you can walk away feeling healthy. Good service and the line moves quickly but the food can take awhile to cook during lunch rush since it’s all made-to-order. I tried to call ahead to place an order but was on hold for more than five minutes so decided to just drive over there and didn’t have to wait long. Restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating. They have a great birthday club — sign up and you get a free meal every year!

For fast food this place is always fresh and tasty. I don’t feel guilty eating fast food when I come here. The shrimp tacos are to die for. This store is managed well. Fast and friendly service. It’s hidden in a shopping mall but it’s worth the trip.

Good food. Good peeps. Seems a decent amount of turn over on the staff though. Not sure if that is normal for this type of business but it stands out to me. Maybe it’s just the times I come by though. Not bad over all. Clean store and good quality food. It’s smart to order 5 – 10 minutes ahead if you are able to. That way you have no waiting once you arrive.

I remember these fish tacos being so much better. We came on $ 1.50 fish taco tuesday and they weren’t has flavorful as I remember them, quite bland really. Chips and salsa were ok. Salsa bar is great. Parking is always tough.

My second time here over 5 visits to Salt Lake City. Why? Pros: — the line has moved quickly when ordering. Some of that is luck since the people in front of us wanted to get their orders in and move on. Yes, but the service was prompt with the right questions thrown in. — they take your name and, it appears, they prepare the food at that time. — they bring the food to the table. — the plate presentation appears«fast foodish». I had the coastal platter with 3 tacos– the original fish taco, a shrimp taco, and a tilapia taco. They were spread apart on the plate, somewhat messy. But the tastes(sauces, ingredients) were all complimentary, different across the 3 tacos and very fresh. My favorite was the original taco. Get 5 napkins, 4 won’t do. –the salsa sauces for any chips or sides are up front to the right of the soda dispensers. The hot sauce wasn’t overly hot but gave out a kick every once in a while. Cons — only one, the parking lot out front resembles a NASCAR rally. I gotta believe there has to be an accident there every day. Better to park out in back of Rubios and use that door to enter. Coming back? Yupp, next time in town.

I wish this review was because I had eaten lunch but instead I spent my time behind two rude women who were on the phone half the time reading the menu to there mom who was in the car out front. And after about five minutes of this nonsense and they were almost done the cashier begum to describe how everything was made to them and make small talk in Spanish. Absolutely unnecessary and just annoying to me as a customer… Next time maybe the cashier can get a clue and realize not everyone has the time to wait while you entertain rude people in your line. Get on with it I don’t have all day!

The acceptable face of chains. We seldom do fast food but come here regularly and have tried most of the tacos and salads. Food(we generally get grilled fish tacos) is consistently good, comes fairly quickly(actually a good sign since you sense they make it to order) and staff seem genuinely pleasant. Very nice south facing terrace overlooking some simulacrum of Parleys Creek. This place is buried within the shopping center on the SE corner of Highland/11th East and 2100 South… north of Whole Foods.

Since taco carts have been seemingly banned from downtown Sugarhouse I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms that have had me contemplating if I could find a way to put street tacos into a syringe in inject them directly into my arm. In the meantime I stopped into Rubio’s to see if I could get a temporary fix. Maybe Rubio’s could be like the methadone clinic of street tacos. The surf and turf plate was tasty but my conclusion is that it was overpriced and the jalapeños were essentially pickles which made me miss my taco cart that much more.

By far the best Mexican chain in Salt Lake, and believe me we have a large amount of them. Rubio’s is as cheesy as they come. They have a very specific theme and décor, so it’s probably best to acknowledge it and look past it. That’s at least what I do, and thank God I’m able to, because the food is rewarding. Fish tacos, in Utah, a landlocked state? Very skeptical. But they turned out to be undeniably fresh, as most of the food is. I like the fact that they don’t start the order until you place it. Some people might be turned off by having to wait 5 – 10 minutes, but I assure you it’s well worth it. You can truly taste the difference. Perks include generous but reasonable serving sizes that allow you to feel full but NOT bloated. A clean restaurant, that I would feel comfortable eating in(wish I could say the same for others in the area, I’m looking at you Beto’s) and the salsa bar. The salsa bar single handedly has won over my affections. It truly aids in helping add that extra kick I want in my food. Authentic? No. But I give them major accolades for not going the standard Americanized route by serving food that tastes unhealthy. Whether it is or not, is up for debate. But to me it tastes fresh, and for a chain restaurant? I find that very impressive.

As far as «fast food» goes, I am a big fan of Rubio’s. It tastes a bit more fresh than your average fast food joint, and they have really yummy fish tacos($ 1.50 on Tuesdays after 2:30pm) My aboslute fav thing, and this is going to sound weird, is their beans and chips. The beans are rather soupy, with a few chunks of actual bean here an there and have a very strong flavor of black pepper. I freaking love them. I pour in some of the fire roasted salsa and eat it all with chips. Their burritos are giant, tacos are yum, and I love the seafood selection. Definitely give it a try.
