Beautiful and well maintained. The grounds keepers were very nice and even played on their break. It is rather challenging because you have to play backhand and forehand to play well. The reason for only 4 stars is that several tee boxes are next to the dirty river so a bad throw or unexperienced player will cause you to lose a disc. In my party of three we each sank one disc.

Roots is awesome! I live Downtown and love having a new 18-hole course within 10 minutes of home. The course is great, lots of obstacles, the river, huge trees, a couple fences, etc. The holes are nice and long and it’s fun to be able to throw it as hard as you can. The course is challenging, but not too challenging. It will be a while before I hit par here, but I’ll get it one day! On any given day there are quite a few people playing. It’s nice to see so many people out enjoying the game. The community is pretty active here and are great, friendly people. One thing, please DONOTDRINKORSMOKEHERE. The land is given by the city on condition that this rule and others are kept. They are watching this course like a hawk and have already given warning after finding beer cans in the garbage. They will close down the course if people don’t stop, which would really suck for the growth of the sport around here. Anyways, go enjoy a great course and have fun!

This new course is dangerously close to my work. Played a round at lunch today. There were quite a few folks out there enjoying the unseasonably warm weather too. It’s an old Par 3 ball golf course that was converted. Mostly par 3s with a couple Par 4s. The course is clean, well marked and fun to play. 18 holes, rubber tee pads and brand spanking new DGA Mach X baskets. A lovely addition to the Rose Park Area. There are many large and beautiful trees to add difficulty and the Jordan River plays as a water hazard on some holes. For the most part the course plays on manicured lawn. Thanks to all who made this new park happen! My lunch breaks just got a lot more fun.
