Went to Maxwell’s on a cold, rainy day because it is literally the closest option to my work. Pizza Note: I have had their take-out pizza before when it was ordered by groups I was in, and I wasn’t a huge fan. It was good pizza, just not my personal preference. It’s the thinner crust kind of floppy pizza — I’m more for the thick pan-crust style … so I wasn’t sure what to expect going here for lunch, but I was so pleasantly surprised! My friend and I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and the Chicken Parm sandwich and then shared them. Both were GREAT. The Philly was awesome — perfect amount of spice and flavor … honestly one of the best I’ve had. The Chicken Parm was also great, just a classic, warm, Italian comfort food. The turn around time was very quick and it seemed they were conscious we were there on a lunch break. The service was great. I will definitely return here to eat. Even if you don’t love the east coast style of pizza, they are good at other items too and have an extensive menu! I’m keen to try some salads in the summer time too — they sounded awesome.

Came here with some coworkers after work on a Friday night for someone’s farewell and it an interesting experience. I’ve came here before for at night when it turns into s night club, but never for a sit down dine in experience. I think the person controlling the lights dont realize that clubbing time doesn’t start at 6pm. The lights kept dimming and going back bright again. I don’t know if they were just testing out the lighting or someone was just bored. We ordered a fat kid pizza, calamari, boneless chicken wings and I ordered an angry orchard beer. The beer was super expensive. I paid $ 10 for one glass or angry orchard. Be mindful of that. The pizza was super delicious. It’s one of the best one I’ve ever had. Calamari was a bit salty for me, and the wings just tasted like wings everywhere. The reason why I gave this place two stars was that the servers here were all in a rush. They would stop by every 5 mins to see what they can clear out of the table. Our calamari plate had a couple of calamari on it and they ask if they can take it away, same with the wings, and once the pizza was taken by everyone they tried to clear that too. We felt so rush, and was starting to joke that they will take the salt and pepper and the candle also. All in all… probably will get the pizzas Togo, but I don’t look forward to the service. P. s. Came here like two weeks ago for the night club, the crowd is weird, and you might either get in a fight on the dance floor, or try to break up like 4 – 5 fights there. Saying this from personal experience.

The«Fat kid» pizza is very good, and menu is better than typical bar fare. If there’s sporting events the place is busy and service is slow, but what do you expect? It’s sister place in Park City is just as good!

Let me start out by saying that I have been a Loyal customer to maxwells. I have been going there for about 3 – 4 years because I love their food. That being said, I was there on Friday night for my going away party. And here is what happened — due to a broken chair, my finger got caught in between the seat of the chair and the frame. And it ripped my fingernail off(I get it. Things happen. They couldn’t have known the chair was broken) there was blood dripping everywhere. — I went into the bathroom to clean up and attempt to get my finger to stop bleeding when an employee entered to use the bathroom. I asked if she could get me a first aid kit. She responded by asking if she could use the bathroom first. –the host came in bringing me the«first aid kit»(just band aids and eye wash) called me dramatic and left. Luckily I had soft qauze of my own in my purse because bandaids simply were not enough for the blood. –complained to the manager about his rude employees and lack of first aid kit(which the business is required to have) and he went on with lying about what the law is and told me he could not supply the first aid kit to anybody but his own employees. Apologized for his host because she is known for being quit aggressive and refused to comp any part of my meal. –after awhile. I realized that there was still blood everywhere at the table and all over in the bathroom. So with my torn up finger I took it upon myself to clean it all up on my own. Told the employees I cleaned it the best I could but it still needed to be sterilized and they told me they didn’t know how to do that… And left it… Oh. And THEYLEFTTHECHAIRWHEREITWAS…

Friday family date @ Maxwell’s Why… Guy Fieri of course. Place was busy, service fast and food good. What more can you ask for? Started with the Fritti Misto app(fried calamari, shrimp, scallops) Yum. The Mr. had a ceasar salad, meh… And we had The Bronx– 4 thumbs up. My little guy plowed through 3 slices of the pizza. Best part — 5′ speakers blasting awesome 80’s and 90’s. We’ll be back!

I stopped in with some guys from work, after passing by this place many times over the years. I was very impressed with the beer selection, and the service was really good too. It seems like a really laid back place, and I have to admit quite a few attractive ladies there too! lol. The wings I ordered were good, but could use a few more for the price they charged, but once again the service was really good and the beers quite delicious. I will be back!!!

Brought our family of 12 adults and teenagers in for dinner on Saturday night at 7. Had great service and food. Not sure why the negative reviews from others. The manager stopped by 3 or 4 times. We had several servers and all were attentive.

After coming back for a few Sundays where my team wasn’t nationally televised, I came back to Maxwell’s to see if things had gotten better since my last few experiences and I can thankfully say that they truly have. The pizza has come storming back with being crispy and oily and cheesy again with a great amount of sauce and great pepperoni. The wings are back to being sauced well and still having a good solid taste. And the calamari is awesome as well. Fridays and Saturdays are still club night, but they’re more accommodating then they have been when it comes to having people staying when it starts. The new Sunday bartenders are much friendlier and have definitely gotten better from a year ago. Now coming back after my long absence, I’m glad to see that they managed to step it up a lot and are back to where I actually want to spend some time.

So we have been here 3 time in the last few months it’s that good! So pizza is to die for, thin crust that melts in your mouth. Oh and you have to try the stuffed ravioli! No joke the greatest place downtown to eat out.

It’s like our Cheers. Spend a little time in there after work and get VIP treatment. The staff is superb and the drinks are always great. The food is too. They do really care about your experience and making sure everything tastes great as well as taking good care of you and making sure you have all you need. Highly recommended, especially after a couple hundred visits in the last 3 – 4 years!

Worst review I’ve ever given a restaurant on Unilocal.Food played a part but it’s primarily due to the horrible customer service. The manager on duty the night of the Arizona State @ Utah game was rude, moved our table twice and was more interested in drinking in the dj/tv booth area then addressing our concerns. We left in the middle of dinner it was so bad. Cold chicken wings, our draft beer tastes like bleach & the manager refused to talk to us and was very rude 25 mins later when he finally acknowledged us.

Great pizza and pasta spot with a full bar and TVs so you can watch the game. Delicious pizza with lots of options for toppings and homemade dough. Their pasta is also hand made and wonderfully delicious. The manger Scott was super nice and took our order right away, but the server was unfriendly and didn’t offer any advise on the menu. This place turns into a nightclub at night and is a lot fun and great music. A must see in SLC!

When you ask any locals where to get the best pizza downtown, they will all immediately direct you to Maxwell’s. And, it is some damn good pizza. Thin, crispy around the edges, just perfect NY style pizza. The restaurant is massive complex and bar, almost a nightclub that serves food. At first, I thought it would be a sports bar, but it is definitely a fancier version of a sports bar. Salads are massive, so are the meatballs. Don’t forget you can also just order by the slice if you are worried about taking down a whole pizza. Definitely addictive pizza, but the service leaves a little to be desired. Don’t expect to eat off a plate at Maxwell’s, you will be served your pizza on a piece of wax paper.

Ok, so I was really looking forward to trying this place and I heard good things about their Pizza. I went there with my big excitement and and left out with a disaponted belly not so full of not so yummy pizza. Ohhh poor me!!! lol We ordered A Bronx Tale Pizza and the ingredients weren’t that good at all. The tomatoes were not even ripe, there was hardly any cheese on that thing, Yes I said thing, because it wasn’t Pizza, aaaand the crust was a little over baked for my taste. The olives were ok though, that’s about it! I went to this location on a Friday night before they turned it into the dance floor. The waitress was not very helpful. She only came twice to the table, to take the order then to bring us the bill. I am not sure if I will go again and try it, but I might go and give them a second chance with their Philly. Maaaaybe after I recover from such experience.

Great place for a drink and meal. I ordered the mussels and I must say… I was impressed. This isn’t a seafood place so that was a plus. The server kept our water full… but the other service was just good. Nothing spectacular. We sat ourselves because no one was up front to greet our group. The menu is mixed, so you should be able to find something good. I would return! Great location, right downtown on Main Street.

OMG! Amazing Spaghetti with the Huge Meatball… get it «Baked» for the extra 3 bucks, you won’t regret it. The first trip through the Mrs got the Chicken Parmesan, delicious as well. We liked it so much that we stopped back again on our way back home. The second time the Mrs had the Lasagna… it must’ve been good as she didn’t even offer to share! The waiters and managers were all great as well. Not sure when we’d ever get back out this way but if and when we do you can be sure we’ll stop by again!

My husband and I came here for a fun lunch downtown and were not disappointed. I had been here once before, but only to go dancing at night. We shared a Fat Kid pizza, and that thing was huge! They say its NY thin crust, but it wasn’t that thin, which I was okay with. The pizza had pepperoni, spinach, and feta. It had a big thick crust, and I think I will get some ranch to dip it in next time. Overall, the pizza was very good, and we took home lots of leftovers. I will definitely be back for more pizza and a fun downtown eatery.

A little bit of east coast style in the SLC. The beer and drink menu is pretty large and they have great pizza. The only downside is the service. Management and the host were very nice and accommodating, but the server seemed to be angry to be at work. Everything was like pulling teeth to get and he was extremely slow. Our pizza came to the table before my bottled beer that I had ordered five minutes before the pizza. Even though the service was subpar, the pizza and environment made up for it. Make sure to try the Fat Kid pizza and brew!

So I’ve been to Maxwell’s for after hours fun before but this was my first visit for dinner. It was great. You would think pizza is just your run of the mill item, but it is quite easy to mess up. They didn’t. Ordered the Italian Stallion and the Good Fellas, basically a half meat lovers and half vegetarian. The crust was crispy. Cheese was plentiful and melted. And the topping tasted fresh and delicious. Bravo to their food. Oh, the slices are enormous so if you’re ordering one of these pizzas I suggest you share with others. Or you can order by the slice which is a plus too. Even more, we had a party of 20. Our server not only split the checks, but ran multiple card payments on each check. I would come back to this place on the service alone. This place is definitely 5 stars on the food, but their after-hours«club» type scene is not my thing and gets a little too aggressive at times. Luckily I’m there only for the food.

Maxwell’s… You have a rep for being douchebag central on Friday and Saturday evenings when this place turns into a nightclub, but when you’re out in the later hours of the day, you’re bound to run into interesting people everywhere. If you’re looking for a fun place to dance in a dimly lit restaurant by day and bar by night, this is your spot. It’s hit or miss when it comes to how busy it gets here… Sometimes there’s a huge line out the door and by the time you get inside you’re standing shoulder to shoulder to people. Other times you’ll get in right away and will be able to get a drink with no wait at all. If you’re in the mood to really celebrate, you can reserve a table for $ 150 – 250 depending on the size of your group and you can use most of that amount towards a bar tab or bottle. This also allows your group to bypass the line(if there is one). As for food, I’ve only tried their pepperoni and buffalo chicken pizzas, but both were really good. So if you like a thin crust, you can’t go wrong with getting some Fat Kid Pizza.
