The bread is to die for and the food is okay. I always get the classic turkey sandwich and it’s really yummy. But every time I go to Great Harvest the employees are assholes and give me attitude for no reason? They take their sweet ass time making my food too. One time I had to wait 25 mins for my sandwich and I was the ONLY person in there??? The employees were just sitting around chatting. Love the food, hate the atmosphere

What happened to the Great Harvest I grew up with in the 90’s? It used to be a cool, soulful place with delicious food, cool music playing and big hunks of free bread with your purchase. I haven’t been forever, but stopped into the 9th and 9th location today with disastrous results. First, got horrible looks from the first employee I encountered. She was hauling out the trash bins and had them sitting in the only parking space available. I pulled up to wait, and she looked at me like I was from another planet. Then, I walked in intending to order a loaf of one of Monday’s special breads, «ambrosia»(straight from the 9th and 9th location website: ) and a salad for lunch. So imagine my surprise when they didn’t have either. And the employee I ordered from,(a different one than parking lot employee) looked at me like I had just ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I bought 2 cookies for my kids and some breakfast buns(spent about 10 bucks) for my kids and he asked me if I wanted a piece of bread off the cutting board. The redeeming moment – a nice hunk of thick delicious cinnaburst bread. So imagine my disappointment when he handed me a flimsy slice cut so thin it was falling apart. Really? So sad. Update your customer service and your online menu, guys. Oh and your soundtrack.

Love Great Harvest and this one keeps the love alive. Highly savory and sweet breads, emminently craveable and a yeasty treat a cut above the rest. The store is nestled on 9th and 9th so it’s a nice place to go to accent some light shopping or just a stroll around the neighborhood. Service was quick and friendly and the store is well lit and clean. There is outdoor seating for the warmer months.

Yummy bread company! They gave us a healthy(read large) slice of our choice of bread while we waited Got a build your own half sandwich– meat eater as I am — ham bacon turkey provolone mayo salt and oil on sour dough. Large portion — great tasting sandwich! And to top it off we got a cookie in the bag free.

Great Harvest is my favorite! Everything they bake is wonderful. The pumpkin chocolate chip bread is to die for and the cinnamon round loaf is incredible. I love to use the cinnamon loaf for amazing French Toast. Best of all is the friendly employees and great service no matter how busy they are. Their lunchtime sandwiches are great too.

Their breads are always amazing, and they have a great sandwich selection. You are also given a free sample of a one of their best sellers with every purchase. Plus their baked goods are a wonderful indulgence!

Delicious breakfast treats, I love the Breakfast roll, especially the one with jalapenos as it’s quite spicy! Their cinnamon rolls have a good texture and aren’t over the top on icing; I think they use brown sugar and it really makes a difference. Their cinnaburst bread is incredibly addicting. I would sacrifice my first-born for a steady supply of that. I’ve never had their sandwiches and have only had breakfast items. Awesome service, every person who has helped me has had a great attitude and seems to enjoy their job. Free samples+discounts because they assume that I go to the U.

I refuse to give these monsters 5 stars… That is until they start offering their addictive savory loaf ’round the clock. The savory loaf is amazing. The peach and blueberrie muffins are great too. Ok fine, everything is quite tasty and the scent alone when you walk in the front doors is captivating. The staff is friendly, they always have yummy samples and give their sandwiches a shot.

Holy messy sandwich Batman! I don’t know if it’s just me or what but I can’t seem to eat a sandwich from places like this without making a complete and utter mess of myself! Oh well, the sandwich was very tasty! I got the Harvest Hummus on Roasted onion asiago bread which was great! The sandwich had hummus, avocado, tomato, lettuce, cucumber and provolone cheese. A full sandwich is filling and comes with a delicious chocolate chip cookie! This place gets busy so prepare for a little wait if you go. They have a really nice outside patio with flowers on each table. I even saw someone with their furry friend enjoying their lunch outside. The staff are super friendly and smiling which is a very nice treat. I recommend this place for a delicious sandwich or a sweet treat.

This is not a bakery it’s a bread store. What kind of bakery doesn’t have fresh baked bread at 8am in the morning? Not a good one. Can’t believe this place has good reviews. While the bread is ok… the fact they don’t have fresh warm bread in the morning waiting for their customers makes calling it a bakery a joke.

To put it simply, you can’t go wrong with any selection here. On any day of the week(except Sunday, of course), you will find a plethora of delicious breads and sweets, including their primary daily offerings, as well as delicious creations sold only on that specific day. It’s enough to leave you indecisive and making Homer Simpson-esque noises. Mmmm. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Loaf. Mmmm. Cinnaburst Bread. Mmmm. [insert fruit] Cream Cheese Luv Muffins. Mmmm. sorry, I’m getting carried away here. In addition to the deluge of doughy deliciousness, they offer freshly made sandwiches on your choice of bread until, I believe, 3:30pm. The Turkey Cobb has been my favorite, so far. So, you’ve ordered your sandwich or taken your loaf up to the register. Feeling satisfied with your decision, you hand your cash/card to the friendly worker, expecting a typical transaction. What you may not realize is that you haven’t even experienced the best part of your visit to Great Harvest. Casually, the worker hands you your receipt and out-of-nowhere asks if you’d like a free slice of something to-go. Boom. You’ve just been hit with a weapon of mass customer service. Right next to the register sits a large cutting board holding an assortment of different offerings. Choose one, grab a punch card(free loaf or sandwich for every 10 purchased) and enjoy it on your trip home. Now, my take on the whole free slice thing may have seemed a bit exaggerated, but to me, it’s those little things that keep me coming back. Besides, what better way is there to try their many offerings? Trust me, that slice of Savory Loaf tastes extra savory when it’s free.

Great service. I go in almost every morning and grab an iced americano and a slice for a buck and a quarter. Sure the coffee isn’t great, but it is cheap and quick and it comes with a slice of the best bread around. The staff is awesome. Super friendly. I kinda have a crush on one of the chicks, but don’t tell her. I have gotten a loaf, couldn’t resist the sour cream and blueberry, and it was worth every cent. The loaves are a bit more pricey, but for the quality and taste explosion, its all relatively inexpensive. I’ve also had a cinnamon roll, and I gotta say that they are the best I’ve had, outside of homemade. Watch out for the creepy old guys(customers) that take all the shaded seats.

Oh shoot. I’m a bread boy and this stuff has me tingling. So it’s no wonder when I got a sandwich here the other day(purchased for me by some folks looking after my lunchtime well being, in the name of full disclosure) that the bread was really what made the sandwich stand out as a good ‘un. In the name of total disclosure, let it be known that this ain’t my first trip to a Great Harvest. So I’ve tried many of their breads and decided to go with the classic white. While I typically prefer a chewier crust, this soft-crust Beehive white is really well-suited to snarfing down a sandwich. And the crumb is cool and soft, but not wimpy. I should also point out how much I like the mixture of pickles and cucumbers. They use wide, thin planks of both and stack them on the sammie and it couldn’t be more delish. They threw in a cookie and some chips and I was digging on the whole bad boy. For my free«slice»(read: large quarter loaf) I go the cinnamon one. Do the same and thank me later. Little balls of cinnamon sugar in a cool loaf of lovely bread. I didn’t pick up a loaf of bread this time, but from time to time it’s nice to get a nice dense loaf of wheat bread. I truly prefer nice, freeform artisan loaves with chewy crust or more«peasant» loaves, but there are few places — local or otherwise — that do sliced pan breads like Great Harvest. It’s not a complete premium price for loaves and sammiches, but you will pay more than average.

Heaven has a new name and it’s Great Harvest Bread Company. I discovered this place while visiting Salt Lake and I went everyday while I was there.(I looked it up when I got home to Phoenix and Hooray! There is a location in Tempe!) What’s not to like about a variety of fresh baked bread? And cookies! Oh man, they have cookies! And sandwiches loaded with meat and all the fixings. The people working were so nice and gave us samples of bread. The warm, fresh baked bread hit the spot on those cold winter days while I was in SLC and I can’t wait to come back.
