The curry was good, but I didn’t like anything else. The naan is just store bought pita. Rice was actually quite bad. All-in-all, I would go back for the lamb korma if it wasn’t for the fact that they were cooking without gloves, served without gloves, took my money without gloves and then went right back to cooking without gloves and there wasn’t any hand washing going on.

World class Curry. Ridiculously fast AND quality. The place has that hole in the wall vibe that lets you know it’s either terrible or a treasure, and it is a treasure. I love that I can just run by and be out in 5 minutes with a healthy and delicious meal. Multiple vegetarian options. I eat here multiple times a week.

Been patronizing this place for a number of years. While the food has remained pretty consistent for the most part, the service and attitude of some of the employees is pretty bad. It’s almost as though serving up your plate, which is done in a matter of a minute or two, is a bit inconvenient. Moreover the serving size and how your plate is put together depends on who is working. It can be pretty inconsistent. I see I am not the only one who has had this experience. I won’t be going again. Like another reviewer mentioned, there are too many good restaurants with good service in Salt Lake. No reason to waste money here.

First time there. Not so great. It’s fine if it’s fast but then the prices should reflect that. 10 – 12 dollars per plate I expect more than mediocre(at best) curry. And the samosas tasted like they’d been fried in old grease. And the naan is like pita bread.

What a great find. The curry chicken is incredible and the lamb is not far behind. If you like curry you should check this place out.

If I could afford to eat here everyday I would. My goal in life is to learn to make curry this good. I get the veggie curry combo. It comes with a new featured veggie curry once a week, so you get to mix it up. The family who owns this place is so nice. They know usual and create me kindly everytime they see me. I recommend his place to everyone!

Ok let me start by saying this. The name says it all. It’s Curry in a Hurry. If you are expecting some five star fine dining then you are in for a surprise. But Curry in a Hurry serves tasty quick food that is served hot and is really delicious. I go there all the time and always love the Chicken Curry Combo. It’s prepared fast and always tastes really good. It’s a family owned restaurant and they have been in business for a long time and I will continue to go there and be a loyal customer.

Love this place! Doesn’t matter what you order, it will be delicious! Their sister restaurant Curry Fried Chicken is just as good. I’d stop for a two piece fried chicken then up to Curry in a Hurry for a combo. The BEST!

If I had one word for«Curry In A Hurry» it would be consistency. I’ve been eating here occasionally for 15 years or so and it’s exactly the same as it’s always been. Chicken curry, spinach and potatoes are my go to. It’s cheap, lots of food, easily accessible flavors for people who are new to Indian/Pakistani food. Delicious. My only complaint is the«flat bread» they use is store bought pita bread. Not worth the calories unless you are really hungry. For a truly unique experience check out their sister restaurant Curry Fried Chicken… it’s amazing.

So, let’s get this straight: We call in an order, server is very rude. When we go to pick it up, it’s not ready for pick up at all — they never bothered to prepare it at all. Some kids try and pick a fight on the property, nothing is done. Food is okay, but the help and the area is apparently going downhill. This is just the latest in the problems that have occurred in and around the place; we used to really like going here! But this is probably the las time we’ll give them any patronage.

I just got off a flight landing in SLC and needed food. So I drive into downtown– get lost — then suddenly see Curry In A Hurry. I wasn’t craving curry, but after seeing the clever name I had to stop an check it out! This is a small place. The food was generous in portions– I ordered the chicken curry with rice plate– but was disappointed that the rice was cold! How can you serve lukewarm rice? But the curry was good. And I was in a hurry. If I see a restaurant called«Mole in a Slow Day» I will report back also.

Their name says it all. It’s a casual little spot where you can get a small selection of Indian curry very quickly. I’ve tried the chicken and lamb curries and both were decent. I’m not sure if it was very fresh since we came near closing time… and our order came out minutes after ordering. Avoid their strawberry syrup drink. It was overly sweet and tasted extremely artificial.

I used to love this place and ate there multiple times a week. The last time I went(and it will certainly be the last) the service was awful and unfriendly, the portion size was nearly half of what it used to be. It’s rice — you can afford to give more than a small cup! It wasn’t just my plate either — it was everyone. And if you pay cash check your change. He never gives you back full change. I wouldn’t mind as its only a few cents but it bothers me that they think they are entitled to it!

I really like this place! If your Into the Halal /kosher ish clean meat this is the place for you. I really like their food, and it has a nice kick to it. Don’t go there expecting traditional friend chicken then come back to Unilocal and cry about it. It’s good food, you just have to have no expectations the first time you try it. Theeen you’ll be hooked! Good, and clean place. Also, don’t be expecting fast food service people. These are local places that make good fresh mostly. So your food is gonna take a minute just like it took yo mama or daddy a minute to make your food. Real and freshly made food takes some time to make and prepare. Enjoy!

Curry in a Hurry is a small restaurant and is good for a quick lunch or dinner. The service isn’t exactly great(are all the people who work there in a bad mood all the time??). Also, there is a constant and loud flow of bad music videos emanating from the TVs, so I will usually get my order to go. However, the food is really, really good! I always order the chicken curry combo. The chicken is tender and the curry is delicious. The flavor is not overbearing, but strong enough to make my mouth water. Prior to trying Curry in a Hurry, I was not a fan of curry. This recipe changed that!

This place definitely lives up to its name! The employee had our orders ready before the owner rang us up. They offer chicken, lamb or vegetable entrees with coconut or tandoori sauces with rice, flat bread and veggies. Great variety of drinks. Good sized portions and inexpensive combos! The restaurant is tiny – two tables for four and two bars for four. Funky Bollywood videos on tv are quite entertaining. It was the owner’s birthday so he gave us free carrot cake! They usually have rice pudding for dessert. No chocolate.

True to its name, Curry in a Hurry is quite the speed demon. Curry in under 2 – 3 minutes and plentiful portions. Two curries, with a veg side, rice and naan for around $ 10. I ordered chicken curry, lamb korma, and the chickpea curry side. The highlight was the chickpea curry side. I enjoyed the unique/exotic spices and flavors. The other curries were decent, but nothing to write home about. Overall, loved that they were fine with me coming in 20 minutes before closing, and that my belly was full after not eating all day and having just finished Zumba.

It’s a cute little spot on the corner of 21s and state street. They’ve got parking in the back. Inside only seats about 15 people. It can be a little cramped but it’s worth it. I always get the famous chicken tikka #2. Their garlic nann is amazing! Great place for a quick lunch or dinner

Call me crazy but I love this place. Hard day at work? Difficult day at school? The chicken curry definitely became my comfort food. Its so flavorful and super quick to just grab and go I have yet to find anything that tastes like it. I always get it to go, I never eat there, its just too small of a place

Here’s why i gave this place two stars. The guy taking our order was a total douche bag. Am i allowed to say that here? We’ll find out i guess. He was so arrogantly rude. I asked a question like, «whats the difference between the plate and the combo?» and he gave the most snarky responses. While trying to order he was so busy checking out some tail outside i’m surprised he heard us at all. He would laugh under his breath about god knows what and overall gave us all this attitude like he really didn’t have time for us and clearly didn’t give a crap about his job. Which has to make you wonder what exactly goes on with the food you’re about to eat behind the scenes. Honestly i don’t normally rate a place based on one bad experience with staff but this was just over the top. I would give the food a three to four star. It was pretty good the portions were decent. The naan was just pita bread that a woman was heating up on the stove. I watched her pull it from a bag but hey i like pita and it served its purpose. I would be willing to try this place again but i’m not rushing out the door for it.
