My fiancé and I are currently standing in line and it is 9:25. We placed our order at 9:00 on the dot. We each ordered the Breakfast Power Flatbreads– To Go. During this 25 minutes the entire restaurant was empty with the exception of 1 – 2 small parties dining in. There were approximately 8 – 10 staff members standing around doing absolutely NOTHING. We waited and waited and waited and still, no one was doing anything. Why have tons of people on the clock and getting paid for not working? Makes no sense. After about 15 minutes I began huffing and puffing and making irritated eye contact with a couple employees. Our food finally came out. The manager offered us 2 coupon vouchers for our wait(which was dumb because there wasn’t any reason we needing to be waiting) but we firmly told him no we won’t be back. I will add we were from out of town and truly won’t be back. However, if I do ever return to SLC, I will NOT be eating there!

Little sampler of desserts. Disappointed they look so cute and pretty but not a lot of flavor. By far the lemon bar was the best. The worst was the pecan bar. Everyone spit it out. The rest was just ok. The pocket pies were yummy. Would k order the desserts again? No but fun to try different desserts as a family.

It was the best of visits… It was the worst of visits. We showed up today for Mother’s Day breakfast unfortunately because we waited too long and most other places were booked up. Their breakfast selection is pretty basic, however, they have amazing cinnamon rolls. We started out with a new one that they warmed up for us which was worth every bite. Breakfast came and they told us that they ran out of breakfast potatoes and gave us fruit instead. Normally not a big deal except for the fact that we had ordered an extra side of fruit and so ended up paying double… When we asked the waitress about it she just walked off. Good news is that she came back about 10 minutes later and did offer to give us a refund which we declined(but appreciated the gesture). How do you run out of breakfast potatoes at 10:30AM in the morning on a day you know you are going to be busy? Seems silly. We tried to make up for it by having another cinnamon roll which was just as good as the first. My recommendation: stick with the baked goods at this place and you’ll be happy. Don’t expect anything extraordinary when it comes to service and/or other menu items. I will be back for another cinnamon roll at some point(they were better than Great Harvest’s version which is high praise) and maybe a lemon bar as those looked good too.

2.5 I used to like this place a lot more. They have a nice stack of small cookies near where you order but unfortunately, you can’t order just one. Crazy and insane policy of only ordering 6 or 12 at a time. Ridiculous. No wonder we are an obese society! It’s silly policies like this. Food was ok. They do have a good bakery section and they have a nice patio with great views of the mountains. The downside was the loooooooong wait for the food. At least 10 – 15 minutes for a salad… too long in my opinion. Doubtful I’ll be running back here anytime soon.

I really liked this place! We stopped here for breakfast and were impressed with the menu. They had a great selection of breakfast items and the service was pretty fast . I ordered the Anaheim scrambler and substituted the chicken apple sausage for the bacon. It was great! It did advertise more avocado, but i think that is a industry trend all around so I can’t discount them too much on that. I ordered a large iced coffee, be warned if you do it, its HUGE! I would have gone for a medium or small if I had done it again.

Food OK, Service unacceptable. Went there earlier today because I have never been before. When I asked if they had a sausage panini the girl at the register rolled her eyes and just rung it up without saying a word. My friend and I both ordered coffees and when he asked for a cup she only got one, had to ask for the second cup. This was a repeat for water cups a few minutes later. Never a smile or thank you, just eye rolling and attitude. This was obviously someone who wanted to be somewhere else.

We went on a busy saturday afternoon… ordered and sat down to wait and it didn’t take too long. i had an anaheim sandwich and my husband had a bagel… with spring here and alot of sports starting up this branch is gonna be busy on a saturday. The entire team of some U ofU sport was behind us and the cashier looked like she was about to pass out when she realized they were all under the same ticket. We ate our quick bite and got out of there.

This place is just fine. It’s also just like the handful of other«bakery» themed restaurants. You can get decent sandwiches, soups and desserts at reasonable prices. There’s nothing super special about this place, but it’s clean, it’s cheap and the service is fast and friendly. CBC is one of the lower-cost places in the area to grab a quick meal. Not too shabby.

I came in to Corner Bakery after hitting up the Zoo Lights last night. It was freezing, and a bowl of soup was just what the doctor ordered. The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly and pretty helpful. I got my broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl. Broccoli cheese soup is always a safe bet. It tastes the same everywhere you go. Corner Bakery did not let me down, and as an added bonus, the bread bowl was actually REALLY good. Nothing groundbreaking here, but that’s okay. This was a great place to linger over dinner chatting with friends.

This place is okay at best. They really don’t have any offerings that really wow me, but the product is consistent. They are great for catering office meetings so definitely check that out if you need something delivered at a specific time. I will say since they opened the sweets have gone downhill. The quality of the cookies taste more and more like store bought cookies where they used to taste like they were freshly prepared in an actual bakery. All in all if you need a quick bite, this place will suffice.

Oh man. I’ll keep this one short and sweet. Came here on an insanely snowy morning(6:45 am) and decided to try their breakfast for the first time. The menu has classic breakfast things, and then some desserts and coffee as well. For being so early in the morning, the guy at the register was very nice. I got the most basic thing i could since i needed to get to work. I sat down and waited almost 15 minutes for my eggs and bacon. Already somewhat disappointed, i sat down at my desk, opened my food and was confused at the small amount of food i just spent $ 9 on. A couple bites in i realized that the potatoes were soggy, the eggs had a similar taste to dirt and the bacon was far from crunchy. Worst $ 9 i’ve ever spent. Hopefully it was just an off day.

I absolutely love the corner bakery. I find their prices to be reasonable, I love the fresh ingredients, and the service is speedy enough to make it good for lunch.

I’ve gone here a handful of times when I forget to pack a lunch. It’s convenient location is the only thing saving this location of corner bakery. It’s the only restaurant located«on campus» near research park. Every time I have gone(except today– I’ll get to that) I have dined in. The cashiers are super nice and give you a number for the table. And the wait begins… For someone on a lunch break its crazy to wait up to 25 minutes for a sandwich. Let’s move on to the panini that I usually order. The size of it doesn’t live up to its price at all. Not to mention it’s usually overly crisp(read borderline burnt). My coworkers(who are regulars) always get the pasta. They and I have noticed no consistency in their portion sizes. At times the café and entrée sizes look identical. There has been a day when 2 ppl got the exact same item and it was blatantly obvious that there was a difference in portion. When brought to the attention of the manager, it was confirmed that they do not have a standard measure for portioning. Today’s take out order has been the decision maker for me that I probably won’t be returning. I got the«trio» with a cup of tomato soup, pasta salad and farro salad. My container was haphazardly put together where my salads mixed and the soup tasted like watered down pasta sauce– all for the sum of almost $ 9.

The sandwiches are hit and miss. I ate here with a friend and they burnt his grill cheese, the sandwiches are $$ and small, if you do eat there have the pasta dishes. Worth the cost and the staff is also hit and miss. I would only go back if I was hungry and in the area.

We were greeted nicely by the cashier he was positive and friendly the food runners on the other hand could use a refresher course on customer service. Leaving the numbers on the table instead of the stand a food runner with red hair rudely came up and ordered us to put the numbers up. My friend waited thirty minutes for her sandwich when they went up to the counter to ask for the sandwich it was under the heat lamp sitting there with the ticket already being cleared from the screen. The same food runner laughed as they asked for the sandwich no apology was made no offer to remake the sandwich. First time coming here food was amazing the service killed the experience i will not come back to this location.

Food is tasteless for a Corner Bakery. Ordered to-go, did not give me any utensils or napkins, and my sandwich was soggy.

I think this is the last of the major chain bakeries for me to hit. Upon walking in, my first thought was Starbucks. Now, I generally loathe these and find they have little at all to offer me, unless a given location happens to have cold Monsters and I’m in need of one, rarer these days with Starbucks’ own line of crappy energy drinks to complement their menu of crappy everything else. But I’m not reviewing Starbucks here, of course… still the similarities are remarkable and, in case you hadn’t guessed, this is not a positive. Staff seemed pretty friendly overall, but seeing a dozen bins filled with plain salted kettle-fried chips did little to hearten me. Still, we were in it and might just as well see the damn thing through. So, my kid had the kid pancakes, I had the BBLT that another reviewer(possibly at one of the other locations) said was tremendous enough to be the gold standard of that type of sandwich and my wife had a salad. I also had some of the desserts. Despite having an impressive soda fountain, the selections were all crap, so I had some corporate unsweetened iced tea. Not the worst I’ve had, definitely not the best. The rugalach were overly dry and almost entirely pastry in nature. My wife complained about the overly concentrated lemonade she had and the offensive amount of salt on her side of bread that came with her salad, a salad that will get no commentary here, but was something I probably would have sent back had I gotten it. As to the more interesting things, kid’s pancakes were burnt and were a notable notch below IHOP. Syrup was dreckish. As to that BBLT, despite me having high hopes when I saw the cracked pepper next to the mayo, my hopes were dashed when I saw the presentation. Burnt, thin white toast and it reminded me of a cafeteria rendition. Taste was acceptable, but the mayo was mostly balsamic-infusion, with light to little of the cracked pepper taste. Tomatoes were not in season(no surprise there, I suppose) and the bacon was acceptable. I wondered why they had 6 slices on a sandwich and it was a quick discovery as to why once I saw it. They should strongly consider switching to a pepper bacon and keep the same mayo. BLTs, especially, live and die by the quality of bread. Here, we have bread several steps down from Arby’s. It’s nearly inconceivable to me that a place that dares to name itself with the word«bakery» cannot execute a food that is basic for that type of place. I get that sometimes you have sloppy kitchen staff, but serving me 3/8″ thick and extremely bland bread on that type of sandwich is pathetic. They did no better with the other items, as in the pancakes or the sort of French bread stuff that came with my wife’s salad. This is basically generic corporate nonsense and I’d only consider going there if I was 1) really hungry and 2) too lazy to drive the few blocks somewhere good. The inside, as noted, was definitely too décor-by-way-of-Starbucks for it to feel anything more than that fake, plastic, corporate pseudo-casual and about half of the booth seats were ripped up to boot. None of that adds up to a place that’s comfortable enough to spend time in… one and out.

Though I drove by this place a couple of times… something told me that I didn’t want to eat there… but had to since I had a bad experience at Eggs in the City a few minutes beforehand. This experience was worse. I guess I shouldn’t have eaten that morning. I ordered the croissant egg sandwich. It was not good. They microwaved the croissant, which ruins any bread, especially croissants. The other ingredients were mediocre as well. I cannot recommend this place.

Awesome lemon pound cake and pesto cavatappi. The food isn’t too expensive either. The parking kinda sucks tough
