This was the first store I walked into after my mom flew out to come help me find my dress for my wedding. We were greeted and had a short consultation, but they never asked what our price range was. Little did we know that some of these dresses range up to $ 8,000 and more. I tried on quite a few of them but I didn’t realize until I found a dress I LOVED that the price was so upscale. Very deceiving. If you decide to go here, know that they have beautiful, unique gowns, but you will be paying a pretty penny to get your dress. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because the dresses are very beautiful. Otherwise, go to another bridal store, before you empty your pockets.

After some back and fourth emails with the store manager they were able to remedy the issue and fit me in for a Saturday appointment so I could enjoy this with my family!

I wish I didn’t have to write a review like this, but I wish someone would have warned me before I was about to spend over $ 4,000 on a dress that wouldn’t work out. The first time you get there and try on dresses they make you feel amazing. They pick out the perfect dresses for what you need and want. When you try them on, it truly is the best. However, I fell in love with a $ 6,000 dress and that was way out of my budget. So it kind of hurt. I wish they would have asked my budget. So finally I decided to buy one. They said it would be here by December 1^st because my wedding was planned for January. A couple weeks later, it was still not in. Then I came to find out that the full payment was due before even getting the dress, which I thought was a little ridiculous because we were told we would be able to pay when we got alterations. By the way they don’t do alterations but they told me they did. I got a text on December 28^th that it had arrived, but I had already went and got a new dress because I would not have it in time. I have talked to others that have had problems too. Don’t be convinced by the ambiance of the place because it truly is a dream in there!

I bought my dress from Alta Moda and I would NOT recommend this store. I paid $ 2000 on a dress (apparently «not much» per their standard), and they were EXTREMELY condescending to me any time I came in. I even bought a veil and jewelry from here, but never spent an exorbitant amount because I am a physician paying back med school loans. Yet, they tried to sell me a broken bracelet and «pretty woman» me. I loved my dress, but regret giving this place any of my money. When I bought my dress, a girl named Elyse worked at Alta Moda and she was great. However, everyone with whom I interacted with after that was snotty. I have actually had friends get engaged since I got my dress, and I have steered them away from this place. You can get the same dress elsewhere without the unnecessary condescension/​jealousy.

Alta Moda Bridal is the wedding dress shop that really goes beyond what you expect! From the very first call I made to make an appointment to try on dresses, where they took some time to get to know me and a little bit about what I was thinking in terms of dresses and my overall wedding. No other place sos this for me. It felt like they really cares about my vision. When I arrived for my appointment my personal consultant sat down with me and asked me more in depth questions about my wedding, and what I had planned. We also really got into every detail possible about what I thought I liked and disliked about wedding dresses. We decided I really needed to tried on every type of silhouette and began ruling them out one by one. So I didn’t feel like I was going to regret not trying on «a ballgown.» My consultant was beyond sweet and super helpful though this whole process. At the end we tried on my two absolute favorite dresses which were completely different styles. We tried each on twice more. And every time I was in the mermaid style dress I knew it was MY DRESS!!! Then we also talked about how we could make it modest, and not make it look like we just added sleeves. They told me about how they work directly with the designer. The designer doesn’t even start making a dress until they have my measurement! Hello?! Is this even real?! This the only shop I know of that does that. I was beyond thrilled, and calm to know that my dress definitely wouldn’t look like I added somethings that wasn’t suppose to be there.
They also helped me get all the sparkle I wanted. We came up with a back and sleeves that was completely made of sparkle!!! I know there was no dress like it, and that made me love it even more! (Which I didn’t think was possible)
They got it in a what I thought was a short time frame (3 months) and set me up with the most amazing seamstress.
I picked up my perfectly fitted, sparkly, stunning wedding dress that had just been freshly pressed the morning of my wedding.
I couldn’t have (still do) love my dress more!!! And that is all thanks to the killer Staff and amazing Designer that made my wedding dress. I would/​do recommend this shop to all my friends, and clearly anyone looking for the perfect dress!

I am from Southern California and was in Utah for a wedding. I am in search for a wedding dress for my August wedding and was excited that Alta Moda carried my favorite designer Hayley Paige. There is a certain dress they had at their store that none of the local CA bridal salons carried so I was excited to come see the dress in person. Although I didn’t have an appointment and didn’t expect to be able to have a full appointment, I didn’t expect to encounter such rude sales consultants. My mom and I came into the store and explained our situation. (That we are from out of town, and interested in seeing a dress that we don’t have back in CA, etc.) The sales woman explained that they were fully booked for the day. We asked if there was anyway we could put our name on the wait list just incase someone else canceled and appt. She seemed hesitant to do that and was rude. I explained to her I only wanted to try on that one dress and would be in and out in 10 mins. She said «Honestly, the chances of you trying that dress on are This Much» and held her fingers up. I said thats fine, please just put me on the list. Then my mom and I looked around the bridal shop at the other dresses and felt extremely uncomfortable because this woman was following us around the store and kept asking us if we needed help with something. It almost seemed like that was her way of telling us to leave. Then she accused us of trying to take pictures of dresses when we didn’t have a camera out which was very strange. We ended up sitting in the waiting area for a little bit hoping that we would be able to try the dress on. She kept telling us that they were way to busy for us to try the dresses on. It was a flat out lie because there were about 5 bridal consultants standing around texting and talking to each other. It is a bummer that we had this experience with this store. Something that is supposed to be such a fun experience throughout the planning process ended up being very unpleasant. I would never recommend this bridal salon to anyone.

Although I live in Washington D.C., I made the decision early on to purchase my dress and have the dress fittings in UT, where I am originally from and where the ceremony was taking place. Because of this, it was very important to find a dress shop that would be flexible enough to work with my crazy schedule.
Alta Moda was the last dress shop I visited in my search for the gown, but I wish I had gone there first. After trying on dozens of dresses, I found my dress here! It was one of the first gowns I tried on, and I knew right away that it was the one. Having said that, they happily allowed me to try on others just to make sure that I had selected the right dress. In addition to housing my perfect dress, I also found my veil and accessories here, making it a one stop shop. It can’t get anymore convenient than that.
When it came time for fittings, Alta Moda was so great to work around my schedule and squeeze me in when I could only fly in for a day or two at a time. They also connected me with the most amazing seamstress, Pamela, who worked wonders for the few alterations I needed. The fit of my dress was absolute perfection, and I could not have loved it more.
The staff there was always pleasant and often called me to check in to see if there was anything at all they could do to make things easier. I’m so glad I purchased my dress from Alta Moda. They made what could have been a stressful nightmare, an easy, breezy, stress free process, in spite of the distance. If you’re in the market for your perfect dress, definitely check them out!

I was disappointed that they kept putting my daughter in dresses that we couldn’t afford. So of course, she fell in love with a dress that was almost 3 times our budget. They do have a nice store and pretty dresses and appeared very nice, but I left very frustrated and so was my daughter when it was supposed to be such a happy experience. I had checked before about the prices and was led to believe they had dresses in our price range. The one thing good that came from it was that they helped her find the style that she liked. Otherwise, it was an uncomfortable experience. Luckily we found one she loved later that day at another store, that was in our budget! I hate to be negative, but I don’t want another disappointed bride…

This was the best experience I’ve ever had shopping with a friend for wedding dresses. The staff was so kind and gracious and VERY helpful. We weren’t pressured to buy and they knew exactly what styles to pull for us.

I bought my wedding dress from Alta Moda and Hilary and her team helped me so much!!! My dress was gorgeous, and I needed it modest for my religious ceremony and she had the finest seamstress do a flawless job in making my dress meet my standards of modesty. The whole store takes the best care of you and are genuinely happy for this special milestone in your life. Now that it’s been a few years, I still can call Hilary and she knows me by name and has assisted me in helping with my daughters blessing gown. They have the best and highest quality of bridal gowns and accessories. I recommend anyone in Utah or surrounding areas to not miss up an opportunity to be pampered by the amazing team of Alta Moda! I truly and sincerely love them! Also, they have a nice connection to the bridal industry in Utah and can give you assistance of photographers, make up and hair stylist, invitations and so on! They try to lift any stress you may feel by providing as much help as possible.

Although I only dealt with Alta Moda by phone while shopping for my wedding dress, I was so delighted with their level of customer service that I had to share. Even just over the phone, they took the time to really listen to what I needed. When they found that they were out of my price range, the sales lady was still so kind and helpful and she referred me to their sister store, «Lily & Iris», to consider a bridesmaid dress in Ivory. And would you believe, after stores and stores of searching endlessly, that actually turned out to be the perfect match for me! I found the PERFECT dress because the lady still took the time to help me with suggestions even after she discovered she was out of my price range and would therefore not be making a sale. Thank you so much Alta Moda! You have no idea the difference you’ve made in my life! I will tell everyone I know how awesome you ladies are!
