Happy Feet

My daughter and I walked in without an appointment. We normally get the one hour foot massage (always good), however we wanted a full body massage instead. We got a room together, pretty cool. Great massage focused on our mid/​lower backs. Didn’t touch our feet once, lol. So full body must not mean feet. Only $ 40 each btw. I will go back :).

Very nice treatment. Very nice massage. Good hot water. Generally quiet, though arrivals who came after we did were a bit noisy. Comfortable couches. Good value. We found it easy to park on the street right in front.

I made a reservation on my way up north and was a bit skeptical due to some of the negative reviews. I ignored this and wanted to risk it. I should have paid attention to the reviews. For the thirty minutes I spent getting lotion dabbed onto my neck sloppily, I could have learned the Chinese language due to the extensive and constant chatter between employees. Now I’m fine with a few words and here but these were full blown conversations for 30-​minutes straight.
1. Massage was not strong (I requested someone strong and preferably male)
2. Owner was complete douche and tried to charge me the full price even when I expressed my dissatisfaction

Don’t know why there are so many bad reviews, I had a girl named Mae and she was great! A whole hour of a great massage for such a great price. I highly suggest it!

Pretty good massage but was really rough. Please don’t think you’re just getting your feet massaged I was shocked when I was asked to turn around. lol. All in all not bad for 20 $. lol.

I’ve been to this location a couple of times they have two in salinas, They accept walk-​in and have great specials– couples 35.00 each ;) and the massage work is very strong/​powerful you feel amazing after! They totally relax all muscles and nerves, really work all the muscles out.
They take appointments and Credit cards.
I love massages so when in need and don’t have much time this place does the trick and for the price I will be coming back.
Negative side:
I didn’t like the fact the therapist did not speak or understand English!
The build smelled like an old casino with cigarette smells.
The music occasional stopped throughout my session.
You get what you pay for right… :]

Employee (owner I assume, some old haggard fat Chinese lady that literally looked like Jabba the Hutt) actually laughed at my tip & asked me if it was correct. Are you serious? ONE STAR
Edit: The employees here were super cool and sympathetic when I came back here complaining about bad service. They even called the owner for me on their personal phone so I could talk to her directly. No surprise here she was still acting like a snakey b****. To their credit the employees wouldn’t stop apologizing to me for how rude their boss was & in addition to that they wouldn’t even accept a tip I tried to give to them directly. Awesome employees +1 Star, terrible owner so only 1 star.

Loved it, Jeff was the best! The hour foot massage is a foot soaking with a back, leg, and arm massage too! The foot massage is wonderful and it’s such a great deal!

I have been here twice; both with different experiences. The first time I was the only one there so the massage area that has 10 chairs lined up were empty. The only issue I had that time was the one massaging me seemed to be the only one there. The front door is very close to the massage area & has a bell that goes off every time it is opened. The woman giving me my massage had to stop my massage twice. Once to deal w/​a customer that had come in & once to answer the phone. She was very apologetic though & upgraded my massage. She added another 15min on the massage table. The 2^nd time I went, it was not a good experience at all! It was a little crowded & the woman next to me was moaning throughout her massage! Sounded like she was getting much more than a massage! Same issue with the door bell going off & this time the one giving my massage was practically killing me. I told her 3 times it was too hard, but to no avail. I had to take Motrin afterwards. It’s definitely imperative you try to go at a time it would be slow & make sure you tell them from the beginning if you don’t want a deep massage.

If you want to feel like you just come out of a boxing match after your one hour massage, please come get massaged here :-D. This happened to my friend, we went in for our massages, and low and behold they told the masseuse, «not hard please,» apparently each time my friend said this, they massaged harder :-o. So communication is a must here, if you plan on getting your massage here, please say, «softer,» or «harder,» this is what is understood with the language barrier.
Friendly counter lady, when my massage therapist massaged me, I noted the counter lady in the room also, not sure if she was overseeing the masseuse or training? This was a strange experience. My massage therapist also had these 6 – 9 inch heels on, which kept tapping on the hard wood flooring, this was so not relaxing!
Once again if you are here and want to massage, just communicate it properly. I did not feel like I was beaten after my massage because I kept asking for «softer» every 10 min or so…
$ 35.00 per hour. CASH ONLY! sign on their register, so I am uncertain if they take cards.

This is for the new location on Constitution Blvd in Salinas. The place smelled like old wet carpet. The room for the couples massage was small and the staff kept bumping into each other etc. The lady kept talking to the guy giving me my massage and she continuously kept laughing. I found this disrupting as well as RUDE. We don’t know if she was laughing and speaking in her language about us? I expected a relaxing quiet massage! I just hope they read this and see this as feedback so they can provide a better service and atmosphere. I may go there again but not for the table massage. Also I asked for light pressure and had to keep reminding him to be softer. Today my back is super tender from where he massaged me way too hard. It seems they are a little inexperienced at this service.

I received the worst customer service of my life at happy feet. The owners wife was the one who gave me my 30 minute massage, mind you she was done within 20 minutes. She also answered the phone while giving me the massage & was eager for the tip she didn’t deserve. So if you’re in the mood to pay 35 dollars and come out with a headache this is definitely the place for you.

I have been here a handful of times and been happy each time. It’s not going to be your high end spa but if you still want a good massage and don’t want to pay for all the atmosphere this is a great place. The prices are very fair. I’ve paid way more in fancy spas for massages that left me feeling like I didn’t get my money’s worth. Yes it’s not always really quiet and there’s some in and out noise. But again — you get what you pay for and ultimately this is a great stop for me while my daughter is in her class around the corner and I have an hour to kill. No complaints from me!

excellent! i dont really write a review but this place really made me feel good. they had a friendly costumer service. the people that massaged me and my wife did an excellent job. we had a couple massage for only 35 $ each, it was affordable. surely we well come back on this place!

OMG! OMG! Unilocal has made me one happy girl! Read the reviews & decided to step out of my comfort zone & give it a shot too.
This was the best massage I’ve ever had! I’ve been to tons up & down CA.

This place has TOTALLY changed! It has more than doubled in size and they have separated the reception area from the chair area. It no longer has that crowded «hallway» feel. The old massage area has been separated into private rooms and the new «chair» area is beautifully spacious and quiet. So far I have had at least 10 extremely satisfactory massages. I love coming here and have tried all the offered combinations and specials. VERY happy feet! :)

I was a satisfied customer until today. I had a terrible tension headache and asked the lady for a 15 min. massage. She laughed and tried to convince me to do a 30. After a few minutes and laughing at me 3 times, I told her that she didn’t deserve my money. I will never return.

I was completely turned off by this place. I went here with a friend and we had two male therapists. They both were chattin loudly with eachother during our massages. My friends masseuse left to use the restroom which we heard the toilet flush but we didn’t hear the sink (meaning he didn’t wash his hands) eww. On his way back from the bathroom he managed to burp loudly as well, double ewww! My masseuse’s hands smelt of cigarette a d his hands were rough hitch made his touching my face very unpleasant. During our massages we hear people coming in n out another customer snoring, and more laughing and chatting. Then at the end the guy says we have to leave a required minimum five dollar tip?! Wth I though type was customer discretion?! Def not coming back the only reason why we came here is because Jings on south main was booked. GO to JINGS!

I have been to this place twice now. First time was on a Saturday around 8 PM and the second time around 5 PM. The massage here is good but boy is this place NOISY. The practitioners talk to each other and to the clients in a loud voice. They interrupt the massage to answer the phone (every time it rings) and to greet the clients. They talk to each other while they are massaging (is this really necessary?). Their personal cell phones go off and they stop the massage to answer it…
Some lady had an appointment but came in 20 minutes late and had lost her spot. She was not happy (too bad) but then we all had to listen to the uncomfortble exchange between her and the masseuse (who was working on someone) .
I know this is not a private massage and the space is shared (and the massage is cheap) but (OWNERS PAY ATTENTION) all this loud talking, answering phones, etc is NOT GOOD for business. You need to get a receptionist for one thing… This is obviously a cultural thing but what you guys don’t understand is that Americans value peace and quiet when getting a massage… These places are popping up like mushrooms all over. People will go somewhere where the atmosphere is peacefull.
So far, the sun foot spa on Fremont in Seaside has been the best experience for me. I may try the one on South main across from the high school also. I will post a review for that later.

WASTE OF TIME!
Thank you Unilocal raters for letting me down with this one!!! I was so psyched thinking I got a great deal booking an $ 80 couples massage while in Monterey on vacation. We arrived to a nice little house, however, the door was LOCKED?! (our appt was at 1 pm) Rang the doorbell, and an Asian girl who spoke NO English answered the door, directed us inside, and woke up her? father, who was asleep in one of the massage rooms. There was not a sole in there aside from us. SKETCHY! He didnt speak English either. The Asian girl kept pointing to our feet and giggling. I looked at my BF, he looked at me, and we high-​tailed out of there. SOOOOO SKETCHY!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
