This literally was the only hotel in town available last night as we drove through. It’s no wonder — the place is a complete dump!!! Don’t stay unless you have to. The place is nasty. And although advertised on Unilocal that there is no pet fee — they do charge. The front desk gal had no clue what Unilocal is/​was. But she did at least waive my fee. That was the best part of my stay.

Simple but well-​appointed and modern. Clean. Friendly and attentive staff, including the housekeeping staff who respected my hand-​written note that said, «Late Checkout, 12:00. Please do not disturb.» (The front desk at most hotels doesn’t notify housekeeping about late check-​outs, so I often get woken up early by a knock from housekeeping after the regular check-​out time. I left a note to try to avoid this, and it not only worked, but she knocked shortly after I removed the sign after taking the dogs out. Great service.)
By the way, did I mention «Pet Friendly, No Fee»?? Who could ask for more?
Now, don’t get me wrong… It’s a 5-​star review, not a 5-​star resort. Simple, clean, well-​appointed, economical, and no extra hassles for pets… Who could ask for more?
Highly recommended if you’re in the area or even just passing through. :-)

The good: Nice hotel. Updated décor. Huge bathroom. Snacks are available at night.
The bad: Pool area is small, but functional.
Tip: This hotel is miles from I70. If you are travelling I70, choose a different hotel. Salina is bigger than I expected and this hotel is near I135.

Warning this review is coming from inside the hotel.
Currently staying in this hotel. The room is clean but smells like mildew, Bathroom has a nice finish but cheap fixtures and extremely loud exhaust fan.
The low point of the night was when I used the workout facility. I wasn’t expecting much and I was still disappointed. The equipment is old and dangerous. I stepped on to the treadmill and almost immediately twisted my knee. The belt is extremely slick and loose.
This is a newer construction by the look of the building but I would not recommend this hotel to travelers.
