Nor the owner of Universal Flooring, and his best installer Steve, don't know what the word professional means. Terrible job on 3 rooms of hardwood floor. Nor illegally charged my Credit Card $1500 without my consent ( my credit card company withdraw the funds out of his bank after I filed complaint. Filed another complaint with BBB , he wouldn't even answer thier investigation, after repeated attempts to contact him. I have proof of illegal credit card transaction and BBB letter. Nor Blatantly lied to me several times while being recorded on camera. Absolutely despicable man, without an ounce of dignity in him.

I hate dealing with the big box stores and was looking for a locale flooring store for a large job for the new house. My experience at universal flooring was everything you would expect from a honest small business owner. Nor was so helpful and friendly. I didn’t feel pressured to buy at all but his price was very reasonable. The installation process was neat and hassle free. Highly recommend working with Nor, couldn’t ask for more.

Several years ago we purchased some berber carpet from Nor for our upstairs hallway and two of the bedrooms. Prices were reasonable and in line with other dealers. The installers did a decent job and took it easy on our baseboard, but about a month later part of the hallway carpet began to pucker visibly — I called the Universal twice to get someone out to fix the issue so the carpet would lay flat. Both times I was told by the girl/woman I spoke to that someone would get back to me on the issue. I never heard back. We ended up using a different company(in Derry) for our next carpet job(family room) later in the year and offered to pay the installers to fix the issue. They fixed the issue in a couple of minutes and didn’t charge us for the fix. In hindsight I probably should have been more aggressive in getting someone out to the house to address the issue(though I shouldn’t have to.) I don’t know or care if the lack of response was due to a communication issue between her and the owner or if they were just trying to avoid having to do a callback. Either way I’m done with Universal.
