A Touch of the Sun

I’ve used both locations (Salem is now closed) and have never had a bad experience. All the employees, especially the owner, are so helpful and friendly. Not sure who the daughter is, but I have been waited on by a younger girl who has been nothing but very sweet to me. They’ve recently renovated and the place looks great and very clean. I love this salon!

This is actually about the one in Salem. I love Touch of the Sun and actually go here all the time. I even got most of my family & friends to start going here. The beds are amazing and the prices aren’t bad either. However, the one downfall is that awful employee. Every employee is super nice except her. Apparently she thinks it’s appropriate to be rude to customers and other employees because her mother is the owner. There have been probably ²⁄₃ times where she was actually nice but most of the time I want to walk out the door when I see her. Just last night, we walked in and she was screaming at an employee and didn’t even stop when she saw us. She gave us attitude because we didn’t make appointments. We have never made appointments, as they take walk ins and there is usually a bed available. Another time she interrogated us about the type of lotion we had and she said it wasn’t allowed in her salon. We didn’t understand because we had used it before. She then called her mother’s location and embarrassed us in front of other customers. All she had to do was explain why and I would have purchased a different lotion. Most of the time she’s not even working. Usually I see her sitting at the desk straightening her hair, doing her makeup or shamelessly flirting with whatever man is near her. Love this place except when she is working. She brings down the whole atmosphere and I’m absolutely positive the business has lost customers directly because of her.
P. S. The Methuen is great! Mainly because she doesn’t work there :)

Got a mystic tan. Staff was awesome and super helpful. Best prices I found in the area. Very clean.

Never a disapointment here! A Touch of the Sun is a fresh, clean respite for when you wanna get’cher tan on, and they offer a wide variety of beds, making it so worth the extra dollar! It’s a comfortable environment and the employees have never been anything but sweet to me. It’s a shame to see negative reviews written by fake profiles on here, (as indicated by the sole number of reviews on their profile, duh), because you won’t find a better tanning salon in the area. A Touch of Sun gives me a touch of happy, I’ll go again and again!

A Touch of the Sun is the best tanning salon in the area hands down. This place is a little more expensive than others salons but its really worth the extra money. The owner is super nice and really knowledgeable. The salon has a large variety of beds and they are all very clean and nice. The bulbs are changed often in each bed thus providing the best possible tan for the money. Playing an extra couple of dollars is well worth it when you take into consideration the customer service, cleanliness and better tan this salon provides.

So I’ve been tanning at this place for a few weeks now and until tonight I would have rated it a lot higher. The girl behind the counter was SOOO rude. If you look up snob in the dictionary, you would find her picture there. I don’t think she even knows what customer service means. She was more interested talking to her friends about what kind of hair extensions they should get than helping me. When my machine didn’t work, she made me feel like an idiot. Hey lady… get off your high horse. You work at a tanning salon. REAL COOL!!!

I just went here for the first time today. I purchased a package of 2 Mystic Tan visits for $ 45. For those of you who don’t know what Mystic Tan is I’ll explain. It’s a spray tan booth. I used it at other tanning salons before & I love the results. I’m very fair skinned & I don’t want to use regular UV tanning beds because skin cancer runs in my family. This is a great safe alternative.
Pretty reasonable price. Very neat & clean interior. The girl behind the counter was very knowledgable, friendly, & helpful. There had all the Califoratan sunless tanning products I wanted & offered lots of other products as well. They did take a finger print scan for my account information which I thought was really high tech, but weird.
