Happily purchased a Samsung 65″ 3D240HZ Smart HDTV during an advertised sale and had a great experience with the salesman. We were told that Samsung does not discount so we paid full price and they included a Samsung Wireless Audio Multi Room Speaker as a bonus. TV was delivered on time with no problems but we have been waiting since February 16th for our speaker. No one has been in contact to let us know when the speaker will be coming and we’ve called twice, both times being told the unit is back ordered. Something about this just doesn’t feel right. No one is managing our expectations and my husband is cranky wanting the home theater experience that we were sold on at the time. Debbie Chase

Earlier this year I gave Paul’s TV in Salem, NH a 5 star review after a terrific TV purchase experience. Six or so months later, the TV is still performing great. Well a few days ago we had the need to buy a new washer. I was all set to take a ride to another appliance store in town when I thought I would check out Paul’s based on the TV purchase. I liked what I saw on the web site and paid them a visit. When we walked in, I was happy to see Vinnie, who sold us the TV. It didn’t take long for Vinnie to remember us, recalling we bought the TV for next day delivery in time for a Patriots playoff game. Anyway that was a TV, which Vinnie had impressed us with his knowledge. But what about a washer. Well, he impressed us equally. We wanted a top load washer and he, showed us the two Samsungs he had on the floor, one a 4.8L and the other a 4.2L that was on sale. He also spoke of a 4.5L model that they did not have to show, but noted it was much like the 4.2L, just a little larger tub. Now as much as he would like to sell us the high end model, he knew that it might be more washer than what we need, with us being empty nesters. So he was really steering us to the smaller, 4.2, which was ablout $ 250 less expensive than the 4.8. But my wife liked the looks of the larger model, and the options. And here is what puts Paul’s TV ahead of others. He gave us the previous day’s sale price of the larger 4.8L model, which, recognizing that we were checking prices on the models for a few days. This saved us $ 100. Today delivery came in on the scheduled time. I have run a number of loads through, and the washer is as advertised. It is ultra quiet and the auto-load balancer is great. No more shake, rattle, and roll during spin cycle. Paul’s is 2 for 2 with me, both purchases earning 5 star reviews. Next time I need a TV or appliance, I will definitely return to Paul’s, and look for Vinnie.

Went to Paul’s TV the other night. Smaller store with quite a few nice TV’s and some very nice appliances. Store personnel not very attentive though. When we walked in, there was a sales person walking out to smoke a cigarette. The ONLY other sales person was busy with another customer. By the time we looked around, and was ready to leave and was walking out, the salesperson that was outside smoking, came back in, and gave some excuse why he was outside instead of inside the store. Not sure how they plan on stealing business from Best Buy across the street with that attitude. Thanks for noticing my review, and I would like to accept your invitation to reach out. The main reason for Unilocaling is to report honest good or unpleasant experiences. One hopes that when receiving a not so good report, the merchant uses that info to help improve conditions. I would hope that the problem that I and others have experienced, with an employee smoking outside the front door, should be addressed. It is disgusting and unwelcoming for patrons, to have to walk through employees hanging around the front door getting their nicotine fix. I certainly wouldn’t say we had an «incredible» experience, or anywhere near. We walked around the store twice, and no one even acknowledged us. As far as the«filtered» 5 star Unilocal reviews for Paul’s TV, Unilocal’s computers are set up to screen staged reviews, from friends and family, etc that post reviews to do nothing but boost the rating for businesses. It would be extremely hard to believe that 30+ people randomly found Unilocal,just after they came from visiting Paul’s TV in Salem NH. It is insulting to the honest people that actually use Unilocal for the main purpose it was designed… honest reviews, from honest people. Unilocal must certainly feel that the filtered reviews are not credible, and filtered ALL of your reviews out. Sandy,

Was very pleased with the knowledge and help we received. My father was looking for a new television. He had just purchased a TV(directly) from Bose that even though the sound was great, the TV did not work with my father’s living room and quite frankly was quite overpriced, picture quality not the greatest so he had just returned it and was anxious to find a TV that would work for him. I saw an ad for Paul’s online and was pleased to find out there was a store in Salem, NH and did not have to drive to Reading, MA. My father is not electronic savvy so it was nice to have a salesperson(Vinnie, I believe) that could explain the different TV’s and their options in terms he understood. He did not try to sell us the most expensive TV like most places try to. Just a great quality TV with options that will work for my Dad. We also had Paul’s set up the TV and my father is now happily enjoying is new TV. My father was also pleased to learn that they also sell kitchen appliances and washers and dryers. As someone that owns rental properties, he was so pleased with Vinnie’s help and some great deals that are offered that he is now planning to purchase the appliances from Paul’s within the next few months. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, I would recommend them to anyone.
