Just like JP posted-Great biker bar. I won’t even try to top his review, so here’s my take– Cool front porch to hang out on-cool people that frequent the place-no frills– and, the first time I walked in I ordered a Corona. 2 bux! not sure if it was the special or not, but that’s cheap! Oh-and right next to the RR tracks. When the train goes by, hold onto your drinks!

This place is worn as hell and intended to be that way. The quiet town of Salem Wisconsin is the home of a «Shit Hole Bar» named Kickstand Bar & Grill. The bar actually has a dozen stools, however the floor plan is open with a few 4-tops spiked to the floor for your safety. A pool table is just another rare floor obstacle. This is a Biker Joint that is actually making a comeback with improvements. New owners are actually sweeping the vintage wood floors, removing the clutter from the back bar and dusting the bottles of booze on the wall. However, the kitchen remains a mystery under perpetual construction. Hey, you can actually walk into the bathroom because its sanitized. That beats crossing your legs while doing a funky dance and hoping you don’t piss in your pants on the way home! I can’t speak for the food because that’s a long way off before I can think of this as a Grill. I like the fact that the front door is always open, welcoming you, fellow bikers… and the flies and bees as well!
