I originally ordered 12 square feet of tile, and I got 12 sheets that are 9.75×9.75. My tile installer came up short, of course. When I called to get more tile, I was told that for $ 48 in freight I could get the tile by next Monday, and other than that there was no guarantee that the regular freight charge would get it to me by next Wednesday. The tile job is in progress, and it is my only bathroom. I am stuck. So, now I am out $ 48 because their salesperson could not calculate how many sheets of tile was required for my 12 square feet. I will not be going here again Update — I did get a call back offering to refund $ 28 of the $ 48. It’s still more than I should pay, but it is better than a poke in the eye.

I have been doing business with Color Tile for the last 13 years. They have always been so hellpful and knowlegable. They have always either been comparable or beat the price of the big box stores. They bend over backwards to make sure everything is great with your finished project. I would highly recommend Color tile for all your flooring and counter top needs. They are great to work with. They now have a carpet cleaning business that does a great job also.

We didn’t have Color Tile install so I can’t comment on that. Angela Bell went out of her way to make sure we got just what we needed, no more — no less and asked us to consider other options that cost her time and money to make sure we were happy. She candidly pointed out that their price point would be the same as an alternative we were considering when many would find a way to shade things in their favor. Best retail experience we have had in a long time when many businesses have let their experienced staff go to cut costs.

After great reviews from a contractor friend of ours, we decided to use Color Tile & Carpet in Salem, OR for some new carpet for a house we were trying to sell. We will never use them again. They didn’t finish the job in the time(or day) they quoted. Angela was nice, but the rest of them were horrible to work with, including the manager. Just the most awful customer service I have ever experienced. I can assure you I would have been better off going anywhere else in Salem, Albany, Corvallis, Eugene or Portland — no matter the price– than ever going there. Hope this helps save someone from a headache. Management/Ownership speaks loudly about the integrity of a company.
