I’ve never had such horrible food in my entire life. Stopped by here after recently moving back to salem, in hopes for the great food that was here before. Although I went in wanting a burger, I decided to try the thai. I went for the basics. Chicken pad thai with medium spice. It smelt bad, it tasted old, the peanuts were hard(I actually thought there was cartilage from meat but it was a peanut), did I say it smelt bad, the smell almost made me vomit putting it in my mouth. I also got the side order of gyoza it was wet inside, tasted like uncooked egg, and the sauce was suppose to be a sweet spicy sauce i believe, didn’t really matter since it tasted like dirty water. The waitress was super nice, however getting my order to go was horrifying when i got home and realized my 20 dollar meal was only worth 2 bites of disgust.

Great customer service. Food is fun, inventful, looks great and delicious! Beautiful Atmosphere! Modern feel, jazzy music… I had the chicken chow mein(I didn’t care much for the chicken, but my friend tried it and said it was good) I loved the veggies and they ask you how spicey you’d prefer it to be. I said mild and it came not spicey at all. My friend decided onthe ‘hangover’ burger. We laughed when it arrived. WOW I took a pic and a lot of guys I know are very interested. My friend said it tasted great! And I had a french fry and they were delicious(and I’m a bit on the picky side when it comes to french fries!). I really enjoyed it!

Absolutely the worst dining experience I have had in a long time, the service was slow, the waitress was loud and rude. When the burgers finally arrived I could tell they would be bad. The buns were stale and it was drenched in cold, watered down barbecue sauce. We stopped eating and asked for the manager, we refused to pay for the meal and left. Avoid this place at all costs!

I’ve eaten here several times, and it used to be great, but it’s consistently gone down hill. The service went from friendly and accommodating to just one server for the entire place during happy hour hours. With that said, there’s hardly ever anyone in the place… so that should tell you something right there. The drink selection is limited, not because they don’t have a full bar, but because the server is often also the bartender, and clueless about how to make a good drink. The food used to be great, but it isn’t anymore. Everything tastes the same, and the fried food is disgusting. I heard a rumor that ownership changed, but I don’t know if that’s true or not. In any event, whatever they did, it wasn’t good. This place is empty most of the time, and since the quality and service has gotten so bad, I don’t think it’s gonna last. I miss the fired pickles!

Oh my god… I’m am so full right now I could puke. I love you, Bigfoot! This has got to me my new burger place. The burgers are so huge(½ lb) and topped with so much cheese and other toppings, you hardly need fries. Seriously, I just ate the Cowboy Classic and I really wish I hadn’t eaten the whole thing. Poor me… or is it lucky me?

Bigfoot may be a best kept secret in Salem. The bar shares space with Thai Fusion, so you actually get two restaurants in one. There are many burger joints in Salem. So you really need to do something unique to compete. The atmosphere is much like the bar and grill’s common in Central Oregon. Lots of celebrity décor with pine furniture. Its an eclectic mix of relaxing and hard rock. I’m not a huge fan of loud, thumping Dance Electonica in the bars I visit – so Bigfoot is a nice change. The bar was quiet, save for the Blazer game playing on its LCD screens. There is a fair liquor and beer selection. The burgers are real beef and portioned large. The Bigfoot Burger is the only burger of its kind in Salem. Stacked high with the usual trimmings it also has ham, fried egg, and bacon with a full pound of beef. Despite the calorie overload, I didn’t find the burger greasy or watery. It was huge and I’d recommend sharing. You have an option of Tater Tots or Fries with your burger. I opted for Tater Tots, they were crispy, greasy, and delicious. Not of fan of artery clogging burgers and fries? No problem! Order off the Thai Fusion side of the menu for dishes heavy in veggies. See my review of Thai Fusion for this restaurant’s complete picture.

Home of the Bigfoot Burger and mystic pickles… I am from Texas and our pickles are dill, so much to my surprise that I have a spicy-sweet pickle on my John Wayne Burger. This is for sure a place where the locals hang out — local meaning the older crowd and not the cool kats. I still don’t get the décor — cabin meets rock band???

A great place to get a burger and a drink. The staff is friendly and attentive. I stopped here when Salem was piled deep in snow and ice. I think it was the owner out in the parking lot working hard to clear the ice from the parking lot and roof when I arrived. Bigfoot probably has the highest tables I’ve ever eaten at in their bar area. The tables and chairs are made out of knotty pine and appear rustic, and there are Bigfoot related items decorating the place. I’m not a resident of Salem, but if I was, I would probably frequent this place.
