Ste Genevieve County Community Center

This past Christmas break, we finally made it out the Community Center for a few one-​day passes to get some workouts in during our family visit. I was impressed at how nicely the features of the center matched the needs of the community. There’s a huge indoor water facility that is great for seniors’ aquatic classes, as well as a lap area, and a vibrant basketball court for the younger folks. The weight and cardio area is decently sized, and there is a nice indoor track as well (10 laps for a mile).
If you’re visiting this quaint little town, this is the best option for a short-​term passes to a gym. $ 4.25 for one person for one day or $ 9 for a couple! It’s a steal!
Other notables: free wi-​fi, locker locks (just ask a worker at the front desk), and friendly staff.
Next time we’re in town, we’ll definitely be back!

This is a great community center that is spacious in in a way that can only be built in a corn field.
Ste Gen was able to combine a large pool, gym w/​free weights, indoor courts, spinning class area, rent-​able party room and even a library all in one massive building.
The pool has a large slide, a swirling whirlpool, basketball net and one of the best wade in kiddie pool with a tower that dumps buckets of water every minute (kids are fascinated).
My family rented the party room for another event. The room is nice sized with a full kitchen & even a laundry room. The cute little girls running the facility have always been small town friendly about our wants.
As a bonus, there is a motorcycle track next to the parking lot that riders are getting enough air to «shock & awe» young & old alike.
This great facility is along a long paved walking path that the city planners have winding down the middle of fields. This urban planning seems «visionary» in the middle of empty fields, but I am impressed.
