We both did the Choose Two options and had tasty, filling lunches. I has the Show Me chicken sandwich with the chilli stone-ground mustard with Swiss. Real roast chicken breast(not processed as far as I could tell). House salad with house dressing(lots of oregano) was a good size. My wife had the chicken salad and said it was the best she’d had since her mother had made it. They gave us some bread on the side and I got both servings because my wife hates dill – which she spotted and smelled right away. I lucked out because it was fresh and tasted great. The building is unique. Previously it was a firehouse so there are historic photos and old uniforms on the walls. They did their best to make essentially a big garage into something comfy. There’s an overstuffed couch with magazines and even bags of crayons for kids. Glad we chose here from the Unilocal reviews. When travelling, fried foods are too easy to consume. Instead it was one of the healthiest meals in the last few days.

Wow is this a refreshing dining experience for an area with so little good restaurants. I cannot thank the owners enough for brining fresh, homemade, and environmentally conscious dining to this little town. I have always enjoyed everything I’ve ordered here and the service is friendly. This certainly is a step up from other local options!

Great place. Friendly. Fresh food with wonderful taste. Our table had chicken salad, tuna salad, spinach quiche and ste gen salad(with 0berle dog!) Desserts are fine too. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

The food here is made from scratch and not typical pre-made restaurant fare. Friendly service too.

What a neat café! We drove into Ste. Gen positively ravenous and stopped at Station 2 Café, which is not too far from the tourism center. Station 2 Café is in an old fire house. It’s spacious, naturally well-lit, and clean. I had a delicious, generous, and underpriced oatmeal, complete with fresh fruit. Station 2 Café will be a must-visit on future trips to Ste. Gen.

Cute café in an old fire house. Coffees and pastries, as well as sandwiches and salads for lunch. My latte and a lemon poppy seed muffin set me back $ 4.89. Clean and friendly.

I absolutely love coming to the Station 2 Café. The food here is so good(I LOVE the chicken salad sandwiches) and the ladies that work here are super friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that they aren’t open on Sundays so I can’t eat here after church. :(But I get it– everyone needs a day off. But if they were open for dinner, I would be a much happier gal! :) You hear that, Beth? Give up what’s left of your free time and open on Sundays and for dinner. ;)

This place is an old-fashioned firehouse with concrete floors, high ceilings and an assortment of «found» tables and chairs. Herbs in pots out front. Has wi-fi and would be a great place to order a muffin and coffee and sit with a newspaper, or chat with the friendly shop keepers who make it an early morning stop. We were hoping for a cooked breakfast but weren’t dissatisfied with the muffins and good iced tea. My coffee-chocolate chip muffin was great. I had a hard time deciding because the bran, blueberry and banana muffins looked equally good. They did have one flavor of pre-prepared quiche which had a flaky crust and was served with fresh fruit. There are a couple of picnic tables in front(no umbrellas and the heat was approaching the 90s so it was not surprising that they weren’t in use). There’s another picnic table and a vine-covered pergola near the street.

In the old firehouse is a new café. The doors are mostly glass and the old bay has a large open feel to the place. The table and chairs are standard, but they also added a bench, couch, piano and lunch rail with bar stools. The walls are decorated with firemen apparel and memorabilia. There is even pictures of kids in the uniforms. There are picnic tables outside and a nice tiny city benches covered by a gazebo as the other outside option. The ladies were friendly and I ordered a nice Mediterranean chicken sandwich with roasted red peppers, feta cheese and pesto on a ciabatta bun for $ 6.50. My mom ordered a roast beef on rye with Swiss and mustard and enjoyed it also. The only option giving for sides are plain or baked chips. They sell soda by the can for $ 1. More options were on the menu like pick 2 for $ 6.25 and your choice of ½ sandwich, cup of soup or chili and a small salad. There is also kid-sized sandwiches like PB& J for $ 3. Plus they have Quiche and salads. Closed on Sunday and open till just 4 made us surprised and we left after they closed. My mom forgot her purse… When we drove back about 10 minutes later the lady from the counter was outside looking for us along the street. That is good service.
