I had my Co worker pick up a to go order. The food was all fabulous. I thought it was pricey until I saw the quality and amount of food that you get! The coleslaw is unique and delicious! If you haven’t tried this place, go! I can’t wait to try the cajun meatloaf, available after 5 p.m. Great job Jungle Prada Tavern Team! I will be back!

This place has great food! The chicken and plantain quesadilla was really yummy. The only reason I would give three stars is because the wait staff is pretty awful. We had multiple girls taking care of us and they messed up at least 3 of our orders and could not get or checks correct. They need some serious training.

First off, the history is awesome in itself. A must see. This was the first nightclub in St. Pete, owned by Al Capone, during prohibition. They have preserved the spanish style arches and terrazo floor. Babe Ruth was married here. It is also located next to Indian mounds from the original discoverers. Bonus there is a boat ramp here. GREAT spot to get in the AC out of the sun for some refreshments. Next off, the service was great! Very welcoming and staff was on top of everything. Considering it just recently chang ed hands that is great news. Finally, the food was REMarkable! I ordered the Tavern Chicken w Gorganzola Bacon Avocado. I chose to put it in a wrap, rather than a croissant. But the most impressive was the apple cole slaw with almonds and white raisans in a yummy vinegrette. Different and not too tangy. I rode my bike here via the Pinellas trail(you have to cut through the Jungle Prada neighborhood). Will definately bring the hubby back and have some brewskies on the dog friendly patio!

Nice place with outdoor seating. Also offers pool table and board games. Wait staff a bit slow but mainly because covering indoor and outdoor areas. Variety of Food menu items but missed on flavor. Salmon bruschetta tasty but bread stale, Stromboli soggy and old northeast pizza cold. Best part of visit was the beer.

Phenomenal way to spend an afternoon! Great menu — hard to find such a gourmet selection locally prepared to perfection. I don’t eat fries on a regular basis, yet when I do, I’m particular. JP’s fries are absolutely the best. So impressed with the quality of Tuna in the Shushimi appetizer! Extremely reasonably priced, with an incomparable view of the park, and water, depending on the outdoor seating arrangement. So many yummy menu items — keep going back to try more. I’m a vegetarian, and love the variety, while my husband is a carnivore and loves the way they serve their meat dishes — meatloaf is one of his faves! Fantastic service — Aaron was awesome!!!

Good beer selection, had the cordon blue as panini with fries. Both excellent… Next day went back just for a beer, Mike was nice and accommodating. will be back!

We went back a second time shortly after the first and unfortunately, it just wasn’t as good as the first time. I actually got sick shortly after we left… like 10 minutes. I was suspicious of the goat cheese this time around and actually took it off after eating ½ the sandwich. Obviously I have no idea for sure it was the sandwich but once I was rid of whatever it was, I was fine. Everything just tasted OK, this time. Hoping this was a fluke and my first impression will keep this place thriving.

Yum. Very good food! They grow their own basil and mint which I found interesting and creative. I was boring and had the caprese sandwich. Tomatoes had garden fresh taste and balsamic was perfect!!! I am still dreaming of the coleslaw they served me. OMG! My co-diners all had a 10′ inch individual pizzas. They are every last piece. Anything and everything we ordered was fantastic.

JP Tavern should be much more. The food is hit or miss. The service has been consistently poor on the multiple occasions we have gone. We have continued to go here because it is a neighborhood joint but that is only going to keep them afloat for so long. The lighting at the bar is obnoxious and makes looking at the tvs uncomfortable. Pros: large beer selection

Very confusing, high prices with low end quality of food. Local drunks hanging at the bar with the bartender drinking beer and doing shots behind the bar. One approx 10 yr old child running around playing tag with a drunk adult. Cosmopolitan’s and regular Coke are good! Pizza is on the ok level. It would be our local bar but not going to come back. Very nice and attentive server.

We had a great lunch! Reasonably priced and fresh! The bar Manager, Aaron, was fabulous and very informative about all the craft beers! Andrew, the chef was friendly and fun to talk with about the menu! Ask about the holiday drink specials, my fave was Andes Martini!!!

This is our new neighborhood favorite! For starters — there is a fantastic beer selection — lots of local beers on tap. The servers all are so friendly and attentive. And the food — excellent! The lobster and shrimp sliders we excellent — mostly lobster and shrimp barely any fillers. The thin crust pizzas were delicious. The prices are all reasonable, they have a good kids menu too. We are excited to have them down the street from us!

My first time here, and I’ll definitely be back often. My son and I sat at the bar, and met some friendly regulars. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The appetizers were excellent(scallops and the stuffed portobello in a seafood bisque), but the portobello was so filling I shouldn’t have ordered a sandwich. I’ll know better next time. My son ordered a reuben sandwich, and we shared a piece of pumpkin cheesecake(delicious). All in all, it was a fun, enjoyable evening, and we will be back.

I went in around 3:30p(a slow time) and the service was AWFUL! We sat ourselves. Got our own menus and even had to request silverware. Our server, Kristen, could honestly care less about service or needs of the customer. I ordered a beer & the Mediterranean Salad: the salad was disgusting, bland, and almost everything, except the lettuce, was not fresh. It overflowed the plate and I couldn’t even cut into it without it spilling over onto the table. I took 3 bites and was done. Kristen never once acknowledged or asked if I was unhappy with it, even when she took the ENTIRE salad back to clear off the table. I was there for 45 mins, spent $ 30 on a very gross late lunch and was so disappointed. I will not be back nor refer anyone to it.

We had my wife’s birthday dinner here and it was really nice. The staff was helpful and attentive and the manager even comped us a glass of wine because he thought my granddaughter was so cute. Always good for brownie points with grandpa. The wild mushroom pizza was delightfully spicy but not too much. The wacky fries are terrific with their curly wave shapes. A little bit of an identity search as they teeter between upscale sports bar and colloquial fine dining. The menu seems to be some of both but I was missing the Caribbean items from the previous owners. Well stocked bar, beer selections, and wines.

Wouldn’t change a thing! Went to check it out because my brother just started working here. Nice location with waterfront access. Restaurant had a nice, open layout and the food was great. Prosciutto scallops, chicken and plantain quesadilla followed by a phenomenal white pizza. Awesome beer selection as well. Staff was great and made sure we were taken care of at all times. We will be back!

I’ve been here several times now and have to say the pizza is really good. It’s a little pricey for toppings but worth it in the end. Fresh basil, goat cheese and mushrooms! Service was great too

This review is solely for the beer selection, as neither my wife, nor I, had anything to eat. I specifically came to this place for one reason only — Tucher Helles Hefe Weizen. I had fallen in love with this beer when I was stationed in the Navy in Jacksonville back in the early to mid 90s. Unfortunately, I cannot get the beer anywhere near Connecticut(without paying an arm and a leg for shipping), so every time I visit FL I find the nearest place with Tucher. In addition to having Tucher, they had a huge selection of beer on tap and bottles. If you enjoy good beer, or just want to try several different ones that other place won’t have, I would recommend coming here. It’s actually not a bad place to watch a sunset, either. They’re located literally 500 feet from a fishing pier with park benches where you can sit and enjoy the sunset either before or after dinner — depending on time of year.

Atmosphere OK, food OK But for owners who want to be a local Tavern, how can you charge 12.00 for a shot of Don Julio tequila and 6.50 for a draft beer. Will drink elsewhere, and maybe drop in once a year for a sandwich and a coke

The owners know how to make locals feel warm and welcomed from their previous establishments. The food is amazing, prices are just right even cheap in many cases. Huge selection of beers and the menu is never ending.
