Hong Kong Nails

I really enjoyed coming here with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon for a leisurely mani-​pedi and eyebrow waxing. Kelly worked on my friend and Lisa worked on me. Both have meticulous attention to detail in the nail work and were generous with massages after nails were done. Peggy stopped over to fuss over us and she was full of wit and friendliness. We left here feeling greatly pampered and care-​free!

People working at Hong Kong Nails are very nice. They don’t speak much English but they greet you and smile at you when you walk in the place. I have encountered a lot of nail salons owned by Asian and often time they don’t smile or say hi. So it was refreshing and pleasant when I was greeted nicely.
They were able to take me right away with no appointment. I got a gel nail for my hands and eyebrow wax. The lady finished it super fast. If you are in a hurry and want to get out fast, then you would like the service. On the other hand, I like when they take their time and relax meanwhile. But the gel nail came out just fine and lasted about two weeks.
The same lady did my eyebrow wax for $ 7. Unlike the job she did on my nails, waxing was really bad. She didn’t clean my face so she waxed with makeup so the wax didn’t do much effect and didn’t reshape or tweeze my eyebrow. She didn’t clean off the wax very well either. The whole time she was doing my eyebrow, she was very rough and my skin hurt.
The total cost of the gel nail and eyebrow wax was $ 37, which is reasonable. The place is clean and people are friendly. I just wished the lady was a little more gentle and took her time to do the work.

I’ve been coming here for eight years now and there are still the same people working there, doing a great job. I get my eyebrows waxed here and they actually do what I tell them to, not tell me what I should do, and all for $ 7. I also get my nails done (acrylic) and they always last about 3 weeks which is awesome. They are very clean and their prices are reasonable. I will continue to be a customer here.

I have been here a few times for pedicures and had good experiences. My last visit, however, fell well under expectations. The nail lady didn’t take too much time on me at all. My feet were barely scrubbed and trust me, they needed scrubbing. I had to ask her to put a little muscle into it. But poof, before I knew it, she was rinsing my feet. She literally did not spend more than 30 seconds scrubbing each foot. If I wanted to just paint my toenails, I wouldn’t have bothered spending the $ 20. I was over and in the drying stage in less than 25 minutes. Just one coat… And they weren’t even busy! I was one of two customers there. NEVER AGAIN!

This place did a great job on my gel manicure. I was initially a little worried because its located in a somewhat shady strip mall, but it ended up being ok. Not fancy, but definitely good value for the quality.

Was impressed that I was able to walk right in on a Saturday afternoon and get serviced right away. However, I am not impressed with the finished service that was provided. I got a pedicure and a shellac manicure. I haven’t ever been done within an hour’s time for both of these services at any other place I’ve been. The don’t use a razor here on your feet, which I was disappointed with and the nail polish ended up all over my skin in addition to my toes. I also wanted the color on my feet and hands to match and she didn’t do even a remotely good job picking out two colors that were similar. My manicure is alright, but, the cycle of how they applied shellac isn’t consistent with how I’ve had it done 20 other times. I haven’t ever had a tech put two coats of shellac on before putting them under the light. My nails also don’t have even coverage. The middle of the nail has much more polish than the sides. For a quick job, I think this place is alright, but don’t go here expecting phenomenal results.

Stopped in for a mani/​pedi and brow wax two weeks ago, still happy today. Simple, no frills (well there are massage chairs, which is the only perk I need). A great value.

Fabulous! My shellac has lasted over 3 weeks. Everyone I have met is kind, great customer service. It’s a family run business and they always try to accommodate.
