Pizza in the mall so should I really complain? I was disappointed with two things the service and the red sauce. As I was placing my order, the young lady who was taking my order walked away from me mid sentence to start my order even though I wasn’t completely done ordering. She went to carry on a conversation with her friend that was also in line. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza and garlic knots. The pizza had light sauce and was good. The garlic knots were not the best, but edible. There was too much Parmesan cheese on them. The red sauce for the knots was gross. It was too acidic or sour, but not sour enough to make me think it was bad. I don’t frequent the mall much for food and this visit was all about convenience. No, I won’t go back.

I’ve had some great pizza in my life, sometimes in the least expected places, but I’ve been around. When I first started workin @ Macys @ Tyrone people kept saying, «YOUHAAAAAVVE to try Fortunatos!!» I was giddy with excitement! It sounded like a proper Italian, order, sit down, food brought to you, mom and pop type place… but it’s not! I hate sitting in the middle of the mall while people walk by and screaming children are just a few yards away in the play area. And atmosphere aside, the food isn’t great. I’ve had their sausage parm sandwhiches which I never ordered again after I watched the guy MICROWAVE it, and have tried their stromboli, regular slices, and salads, all very mediocre. The pizza tastes as if it has sat out forever! Now I have been to the one downtown St. Pete and that did taste fresher! I avoid this as much as possible unless a lunch date or co-worker demands to go here on break! I’d rather walk to Chick-fil-A!
