I tried to order takeout for myself and a coworker to enjoy over a working lunch. The restaurant has a website with a menu and a phone number. I took my coworker’s order and walked out to my car. On my way to the restaurant, I called to place our order. No one answered. I called again. No one answered. I stopped at an ATM to grab cash, as a previous reviewer had warned that the restaurant does not accept credit cards. Sitting in my car, I called again and finally got a lady on the line. I tried to place my coworker’s order for chicken chow mein, and the lady informed me that it’s not on the menu. Apparently the restaurant’s new owner has not bothered to update the website with an accurate menu. I asked her to make a chicken dish that would be as similar as possible to chicken chow mein. By this point, I had been out of the office for almost half an hour and had no idea what else my coworker might like off of a menu to which I had no access. She refused, said that she«didn’t want to ruin her restaurant’s reputation,» and hung up. Guess what, lady? You just did.

Their pan fried Dumplings were delicious. They had just the right amount of fried crispness on the outside, yet still a soft and delicious inside. They aren’t shy with the amount of dumplings they give per order. I also ordered the Sesame Chicken which tasted like it was cooked fresh instead of sitting for a while like most restaurants. The vegetables were crisp and tasty. The delivery man was friendly. Overall a good experience and definitely a place that I will order from again.

Been here several times now and always enjoyed my meal. Just a small place nothing fancy but they cook your food fresh and the ingredients are fresh as well. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I have tried many of their dishes and they were all delicious. This is now one of my favorite place for Chinese food. Try the Hunan Chicken and shrimp, dragon phoenix, cheese wontons. Shrimp curry. Their fried rice is also excellent.

Nothing special. One if those places where everything is seemingly cooked in one sauce. That being said, it’s not awful. Reasonable prices-cash only. Egg rolls, sesame chicken both better than average and it’s fairly convenient only Chinese place in Mendota Hts//Lilydale area. Perfect for a cold evening. Small dining in area but mostly a busy place for those buzzing for take out Chinese!

Small, family owned, not flashy inside. The proprietor is from Hong Kong. His English is so so. Very nice guy. New York Chinese makes the best Black Bean Chicken I’ve ever had. Don’t let the trappings fool you. Will definitely go back.
