They have really good wings. I stop in on occasion. Have for years. This last time I was hit up by 2 panhandlers in the parking lot. One followed me in. Had to use my credit card so they didn’t see how much cash I had. Ended up buying the 1 guy a meal. Not sure why the employee allowed him in to bother paying customers at the counter. Felt like I was downtown. Beware of the bus stop. Nothin against the food tho.

I don’t like chicken wings but ended up at this very sleazy little joint because we were looking for quick food and someone told me that this was a Filipino restaurant. Well We ordered a chicken special posted on the wall and it was delicious. Served in a Styrofoam container. We split it and were too full for supper. Probably won’t be a regular stop but if we do stop the special it is. Yum Yum

I love these wings. They are really crispy and nice flavour. They are like general tso wings. They don’t taste too crispy, dry or burned to me like some reviewers mentioned. The hot ones are more medium so go for it! Customer service is fine and their location seems clean and hygienic.

These wings are awesome! The best way I can describe them would be if General Tso’s chicken came in chicken wing form. They are crispy and have a thick breading. The spicy isnt THAT spicy though, so go ahead and go for it!

Food is gross and staff and management is terrible. The last three times I drove there to pick up dinner, which comes with a beverage I walked away empty handed. The prices include a can of pop with the meal and I only drink diet pop. Guess what… they have been out of diet pop for a month. The staff would tell me that they would give me a bottle of water instead of the pop. I don’t want water… I want the pop. I asked why they didn’t just go buy pop and they said they couldn’t do that, that their supplier is out of diet pop and that there is nothing they can do about it. What a bunch of baloney. Wings taste of chemicals, msg, and high fructose corn syrup. Truly gross. I’ve been eating there for about twenty years, and they just kept going downhill. Now I’m through with them. If we all stop buying their garbage, maybe a decent food venue will move into the location to replace them. Also, they serve the food in this dumb Styrofoam container so that the rice gets in all three sections and it is really hard to eat it with a fork. Since the rice gets all over the container anyhow, why not make it easy to eat by using a box with just one area, They really package the food poorly. They should be using environmentally friendly packaging, too, like little cardboard boxes that the Chinese take out restaurants use. They they could put the wings in little wax paper bags. This is a very poorly run business, in my opinion.

Cora’s wings are an absolute good. Yes, the décor and customer service are bad, but Cora’s fills a very important need. If you are hungry for straight up chicken wings and nothing else, and don’t really care about your experience while acquiring said wings, and don’t really care about anything but those wings, then Cora’s is 100% bullseye every time. The only thing that confuses me to this day is the ethnic origin of the food, the restaurant, & its owners. I know this doesn’t matter, but it just bothers me for some reason.

Dive and not the good kind of hole in the wall. Put our order in and only got half the order. Believe we were still charged for both items… But you don’t even know, the menu is terrible and doesn’t make sense. Went back in to get the other ordered items and the guy behind the counter just seemed confused and unable to comprehend what we were saying. Not returning. Don’t waste your time.

Title says it all — chicken wings are the best! If you love hot wings, theirs might not be the hottest you’ve had, but they taste pretty amazing, which is kind of the most important part of eating food.

I ordered the wings at their food truck. They were the worst wings I’ve ever had in my life. There was so little meat on them — they didn’t give me any drummettes, just the skinny, bony part of the wings. And they were all dried out! It was horrible. Not cheap, either. I think it cost $ 7.

I would give less if I could. I remember this place being really good from 10 years ago when I lived closer. I placed a togo order to be picked up: 12 wings, spicy with rice, called back to ask for extra crispy, «ok!» The guy says, «no problem.» Didn’t ask for a name, doesn’t give a time to pick them up. Show up as soon as I can, traffic mandates 25 minutes and when I get there, super hungry and ready to eat, he tells me it’ll be another 5 – 10 minutes for my oroder becausr he still hasn’t started cooking it, at all. Wtf? Isn’t that why I called ahead? He argues with me when I make that point. Hell no, I’m not waiting, I still have to drive home! I’ll just order pickup from somewhere that’ll start the order when I order it. Dumb!

Some of the best wings in the Twin Cities. Get the spicy wings you won’t be sorry. Don’t be fooled by the neighborhood or the exterior of the building, the food is awesone.

I had chain wings yesterday, so I wanted to do a comparison. I usually only go for buffalo style. At Cora’s Asian it is and they were really good, and plenty meaty. I liked the eggroll. The rice should just be 86, as in written off. The only flavor is if some of the sauce gets on it. I’ve been avoiding this place for 20 years. Now I’m curious about the Eastside location.

I’ll be frank; this place is a dive. I mean that in the most endearing sense, of course, but it’s still a dive. It’s not in an especially pleasant location(there’s literally a hand-written sign in the restaurant discouraging large groups of loiters that states the police will be called – eek), the interior is old, worn out and awkward and the menu board is wrought with grammatical maladies. All that aside… Their wings(most importantly, the sauce) are laced with cocaine. No one goes here for the ambience or even the quality of the wings themselves. It’s the sauce… which they now sell in convenient little squeeze bottles in both the mild and hot varieties. The«hot» version is not hot. It’s delicious, but… definitely ‘MN Hot’, so don’t be afraid to order it if you’re sensitive to spice. The rice is sort of funny to me. You may spot a withered pea or hermit carrot after a few hearty forks in. They’d almost be better served to just not put any vegetables in at all though it does make for a good chuckle. Their cheese puffs are good. The cheese to wrapper ratio is a little skewed(tiny dollup of cheese/tons of fried wrapper) but fried shit and cheese is hard to make un-tasty. I love their eggrolls. Greasy? Yes. Crispy? Mmhmm. Filled with cabbage? Check. … Okay, I’m sort of an eggroll whore anyway. WHATOFIT? And maybe it’s because I’ve been in the cities too long, but I don’t find their prices unreasonable. The owners/staff are extremely friendly and pleasant. We get greeted with smiles and they’re more than willing to accomodate requests(I only like flats and they didn’t bat an eye when I requested no drummies) and answer questions. Every time we go, they cook us a fresh batch so the food is always piping hot. Bottom line? They deliver. Get takeout if you’re close enough. This place was –never– meant to be a sit-down restaurant in my opinion. Yes, there are seats and the option is there, but… eh. You won’t be missing out on any sort of dining experience by picking up the phone. Trust me. On a very related sidenote: the other locations sort of suck. My girlfriend ordered wings from there once and they still had feathers on them. Yes… fluffy(not pin) feathers.

NOOOOOO! They changed the sauce they put on their wings. Went there yesterday and the spicey wings no longer have the oyster sauce it was some kind of reddish plain jane hot sauce. Yeah. It was a little spicey, low burn level though. I’ll be blunt. I don’t think anyone associated with Cora’s reads these things. But… I’m done. I tolerated the ridiculous price increases of the last few years coupled with wings that are just very poor in quality. Because I liked that sauce. This breaks the camel’s back though. I will not be back. If I want wings with that kind of hot sauce on them, I can go to a plethora of other places that provide substantially better value for my money with the same or better sauces. I’ve been coming to this place since, like, 1997. Very disappointed. Theres an old saying, don’t fix it if it ain’t broke. Come on Cora’s. Divorce sucks. No reason to keep coming here… sigh.

I’m never on the west side of St. Paul. And since I happened to be over there yesterday afternoon, I couldn’t resist some Cora’s Chicken Wings. I’ve been eating the wings since I was kid. Every once in awhile, my mom still buys them and I happen to be able to get some leftovers from her. I’m not sure how to classify Cora’s. The owners are Filipino but they dont necessarily serve Filipino food. I think they only have a rice cooker and fryer in the kitchen. Everything is fried… fried wings, fried egg rolls, fried cheese puffs, etc. 5 stars for the wings. I pretty much only eat the wings(regular, not spicy) so I cant comment about the other offerings. They are so good. They’re like oyster wings but a better version. I prefer white rice so I cant speak about their fried rice… and the fact that I prefer white rice, isnt because of Cora’s rice, it’s just my taste in general. I always go for white rice over fried. 3 stars for the restaurant itself. It probably would have been less the last time I was here… they’ve spiffed it up quite a bit. The service is always friendly… Cora even remembered my name ~ actually, she called me my sister’s name but that’s close enough.

I actually remember when this location first opened before there were any others-like 20yrs ago. I moved away from the West Side and i dont eat at the others normally. I may happen to stumble into one once a year maybe. And its always ok. I decided to try it today, was passing by on my way back to work and wow. It seems as if its all about selling the food. lots of it… It used to be soo good, lol and the fried rice actually used to taste and look like fried rice. It was mushy today and this looked like white rice that accidently had a lil soy sauce spilled in it and i think i may have saw 3 carrots and a pea… OAN, the chicken was a fresh batch, so it was good and hot. I wont completely judge it by todays meal, but if i stop back in, and there is another lonely carrot and pea in my white rice with a dash of soy sauce, then i know for sure, they have fell off. Id go back, the chicken still tastes the same. The sauce on it is to die for. The rice just had an off day im hoping.
