We came here at 6:45pm this evening with a group of 4(including friends I traveled abroad in Turkey with). It was quiet and empty, and we were the only customers there. We seated ourselves at a booth and the very kind waitress offered us soup, free of charge. The options were lentil soup and chicken noodle soup. We all went with lentil soup — very good. We then ordered and paid for our entrees at the front cashier and they brought the food out. I ordered the lamb kebab with rice and salad. The lamb was nicely grilled and well done(wish it was a little under well done) and I was happy that the salad tasted light and refreshing. Proportions were huge and I could not finish all my food. We also shared appetizers for hummus, pita bread, baba ganoush — hummus I would definitely recommend; baba ganoush has a bit of spice to it. The bakalava I thought tasted a bit different than traditional Turkish bakalava but a good sweet treat nonetheless. I definitely would come back here again!

I want to really like this place, but not a good first impression. Came here with my wife on a Wednesday night at 530pm. Our first clue things weren’t going to go well was the lack of actual shawarma spinning on the roasters where they have to shave it off like in traditional settings. We still went for it and after 20+ minutes our food finally arrived. I ordered beef with a side of rice but came out lamb with fries. I didn’t hand it back because I was starving at this point. The fries were lukewarm and the wrap wasn’t all that special. Meat was OK at best. Nothing earth shattering. For $ 7 I guess the value is still there but still needs work as the wrap was a little slim. I want to come back during lunch to see if it’s any better. Good luck if your going to give it a whirl!

Came during lunch. Waited 45 minutes for my order. Food is nothing special. You’ll get better service and food one block down at AFRO’s.
