Best Crabcake in St. Michaels! Friendly people, generous portions, excellent homemade fresh bread to tie us over. The cream of crab soup was creamy, lots of crab, spiced exactly right, what you would expect from Chesapeake Bay cream of crab soup. The Crabcakes may have been the best we’ve ever had. French fries good, cole slaw excellent. If you’re in St. Michaels, get in your car and get here. It’s only a few minutes, and it’s well worth the effort.

Went here on a recommendation. Arrived Wednesday evening and there were about 3 tables with people. Sat at the bar. Stacy took good care of me. Met the owner, nice guy. Ordered the Caesar salad, it was ok, nothing special. Next had the crab cake sandwich. The cake was good, lump meat with little filler, a little more wet than I am used to and could use a little more spice. Asked for and got a little old bay to add. All in all I would get it again.

Having watched restaurants come and(mostly) go in this space, I’m hoping we have a keeper. Stopped in for a quick lunch before the Labor Day weekend madness started; no real expectations. But I ordered the crab cake sandwich. Oh. My. I’ve eaten many a crab cake in my life, but this one was BYFAR the best. All lump crab meat, gently spiced, with none of the binders/additives/adulterants I’m accustomed to seeing. Perfectly sized, perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked: outstanding! Cole slaw was a little peppery for me, but hey, it’s their recipe. Overall a great deal, and at $ 14.99, a very decent value. I liked it so much… …that I dragged a few other friends in for dinner over the weekend. Got the crab cakes again — and again, they were great. The owners plan to keep the restaurant open year round. I plan to stop in as often as I can to help. Spread the word!

Awful. We started with the«crab» dip. Which came out as a white, lumpy, mess with a baguette. It tasted like cream cheese and lemon juice. With absolutely no crabmeat. It was not good. We asked the server to take it back. She obliged, but later claimed she could not take it off the check since nothing was really wrong with it we just didn’t like it. The rest of our food was mediocre at best. The server dropped off our check when we were half way done our food. I have worked in the restaurant business a long time and have never charged a customer for something that wasn’t good. I would also try to make the best out of every party’s visit, especially when we were the only table in the establishment. This place needs to step it up if they want to last through the winter. I would recommend driving the extra 5 minutes to Chesapeake Landing.

Boy I read the three reviews and I am not sure we are talking about the same place ! First of all I would Iove to finally have a successful restaurant in this location but … This is not going to be that survivor !! The place looks great but the service and food was very disappointing We ordered cocktails and even though the place was almost empty our drinks took almost 15 minutes to arrive We ordered appetizer that was very good Our main courses were the worst part Cold and unimpressive … Part of my dinner(cold slaw) didn’t arrive till after my dinner. The biggest problem is the wait staff we had. More involved in her phone than her one customer My issues is for a new restaurant that is trying to impress new customers … There was so little interest in making us feel welcome In a city with great offering in restaurants this type of lack luster offering will never keep customers coming back. They need to step it up if they want to survive Again just two customers perspective !!!

Loved this restaurant, when we arrived and found the restaurant closed at 1:30, we were disappointed and decided to move when the owner, whom we learned later is Cesare Morisi, saw us and came out to say he’d talk with his chef to see if he was ready to prepare for customers. He came back shortly and ushered us in. The space is very pleasant and the dining area is separated from the bar by doors. A charming and efficient server named Stacy took our order, a BLT and a crab cake sandwich. Why eat a BLT in a seafood restaurant? My spouse hadn’t had one for a long time and loved every bite of sandwich. My crab cake sandwich was on a baguette roll and is by far the best crab cake I’ve ever eaten. It’s not and a patty but a mound of jumbo lump crab meat with a minimum of mayonnaise and binders. Cesare, at my request shared the. Recipe with me for which I’m very grateful. He sat down at our table and we shared a discussion of Italian cooking and what constitutes a good crab cake. All in all, we had a great lunch, even the cole slaw was delish.

Stopped in after seeing their extensive menu online. We were seated promptly had very good service all evening. Food was wonderful– we dined on King Crab Legs, Surf and Turf(steak and crab cake) and the Crab in butter. Portions were a good size and cooked perfectly. Only thing I thought was interesting was the staff was inconsistent. Some tables were given rolls with dinners, others were not and not all staff informed diners of specials. Would definitely go again and recommend to others who want good food in a relaxed atmosphere.
