Purchased a 22″ Weber Smokey Mountain Smoker at Pater True Value. Got it home and realized the door was defective. Called them and they asked me to bring it in so they could see if it could be repaired while I waited for Weber to send them a replacement. I did have 30lbs. of meat that I needed to smoke the next day, so I could not wait for the replacement. Took the door to the«repair» window and the employee was very accomplished and had the door good enough to get me by my first smoke.(well second actually after I seasoned the new Weber.) Three weeks later I called the store to see if they ordered my replacement door. Joe, Pater the store owner answered the phone and told me they had the replacement door waiting for me. Great service, glad to see this level of heads up at an independent retailer. Would not expect this level of personal service at the Orange, Blue, or Green Box store. I’ll continue to shop this store, and appreciate the attention to detail.
