Chicken Shack

This Chicken Shack is fantastic. Service is what you’d expect and the food is always great.

Lousy service!!! 2^nd time in a row we called in a carry out order, got there paid for the food and sat on the bench waiting and waiting for 20 min to discover our food had been sitting in a bag all the while… First time it happened to my wife, this time me. I think I will go to the Mack ave store from now on. Cheech and Chong make better comedians than chicken shack help. Get your sh/​t together morons.

Been loving Chicken Shack for a while. It may be buttery, may be a little greasy, but it’s yum. I always get the chicken tenders, I don’t like the bones! Great sweet BBQ sauce, you’ll need more than one, though they do charge like .60 cents or so each.
Broasted potatoes are tender and crisp at the same time. I’m sure it’s not «low cal» but when you don’t care about calories, come on in.

Why only 4 stars versus 5
Price.
I have no problem spending money on good food, but $ 23 for a Rib Dinner & a 4 piece Chicken Dinner is high.
Especially when I arrived I noticed a Super Save Special
1 whole slab of ribs, 12 pieces of chicken, 1 large broasted, 1 large slaw

the RIBS were super Tender and generous, as the rib dinner is sold as anywhere from 5 – 8 bones I got 9 !
The CHicken, well I ordered ½ grilled ½ broasted, and got all broasted
no big deal…

This is a staircase above fast food. You can dine in or take out. Either way you get EXCELLENT customer service. Friendly, helpful, quick, clean service!
I don’t actually get chicken. weird right? (not cuz I don’t like it but because I like the cod sooo much) I always get the English Style Cod snack– cooked to perfection each time. They have a snack meal 2 – 3 cod sticks or the regular meal (which I never get cuz I can’t finish it).
I would recommend always getting the broasted potatoes– DE-​LISH!
My friend that usually accompanies me enjoys the chicken very much– cooked all sorts of ways. They have excellent BBQ sauce that I enjoy dipping in my broasted potatoes… lil strange I suppose but good.
You can opt for a side of corn as well however I’d pass on that– its just regular ol’ corn.
Go. Check it out. Its good chicken and Cod and I am sure whatever else they have!
