The first time we ordered carryout from here we waited for the phone to be answered for about 20 minutes. And we called on a weekend night around 7, so I completely understand that they were in the middle of rush most likely. But tonight we just called to order(again during rush which I understand) and we have been trying for another 20 minutes and still can’t get through! So we ordered through the new MOD Pizza which is the same thing. I would much rather have Pieology have my business but come on guys get the to-go order situation down please! Anyways– 1 star for the takeout process but 5 stars for the pizza which brings it to a sad 3 stars. Just letting fellow ordering out people know!

It was good — reminded me of a Chipotle, but for pizza. I went there on Father’s Day with my family and joined email list before we went. When signing up, you get a free herb and garlic pie or cinnastick pie(worth it). You can get as many toppings as you want on each pie for the same price, which is a great bonus with 4 boys in the family. The restaurant itself has an industrial feel with a bunch of tables like a cafeteria. We sat at a dirty table, but within a few minutes an employee came over and wiped it off. The pizza itself was good for thin crust and didn’t take too long to bake. They serve it directly to your table so you don’t have to wait up at the counter. They also offer a good selection of local beers and have standard wines. Ordering online and picking up is a great feature for this restaurant. It is very quick and easily accessible to avoid the long lines that are always at the door. I recommend Pieology and will be returning with my family soon!

Just stopped by for a pizza. Only Pieology location I’ve ever visited without vegan choice for cheese. For your customers who are allergic to milk it’s a must. Not impressed at all. Just now another pizza joint I can’t eat at. Good bye.

Oh men. Nice and tasty pizza for all ages. I mean you can be your own chef with the combinations you can make for your pizza. Both my wife and kid love this and we’re definitely coming back! This is our third dine here and it never disappoints! This will be our go to pizza place. I tried their red wine with my pesto pizza and i like it! Here’s what I had, wheat dough, pesto, garlic butter, mozzarella, ricotta, artichoke, tomatoes, jalapeño, spinach, basil, cilantro, buffalo chicken, and sun dried tomatoes.

took 7 tries to convince the salad maker I didn’t want a bowl of lettuce stems(which in any good restaurant are removed easily-I know-I used to be a prep cook); the game was getting so embarrassing that I nearly jumped over the counter to show her… and for $ 8.45 I could have just done the pickin’ myself. I eat slow(my fault but maybe that’s why I’m thin?). Anyway my pizza got cold so I asked if they could heat it up for me. Look… you put it on a pan you already cooked on and then wash it right after ok? But no, «we’re not allowed to reheat any food» The pizza was not anything like DEWEY’s about a block away, but I spend the same amount of money… roughly $ 23 for just a salad and a pizza. It’s not a good deal if the food AND the service aren’t that great. If this WERE Subway prices it would be a deal. …I will not return to Pie-ology.

It was great. Visited for the first time last night. Pizza was good. Like other reviews, I’ll repeat and say its like Subway where you pick your sauce, cheeses, and toppings. Customer Service was GREAT! Everyone was welcoming and friendly. They helped each customer quickly and efficiently. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because of the crust. I am not too crazy about crust that is thinner than Imos Pizza.

Location is very clean, industrial. It reminded me of a Chipotle or Subway, but instead of a burrito or sandwich, they make you a pizza. Select your sauce, your toppings, brick fire oven, BAM. Pizza arrives at your table a few minutes later. I had their Artichoke Alfredo pizza. It was fine, nothing great, nothing terrible. Overall, my experience with the staff was great, as they were all incredibly friendly and prompt. My only point of contention was with the food. It was middle of the road for me. I don’t think I will go out of my way to come back, but if by chance my day leads me to Pieology because of one reason or another, so be it.

This is a great pizza alternative when looking for a personal pizza as opposed to getting a large pizza to share with others. The quality and taste of the food was very good with a wide variety of ingredients to choose from. They offer either a olive oil or a red sauce base and then your choice of toppings or a predetermined pizza from their menu. I personally had their Hot Buffalo Chicken pizza with the olive oil and it was delicious! The only drawback here is the noise level is very loud. Also, if this is your first time coming their menu is somewhat confusing at first to follow and how exactly you are supposed to order. The staff working there when I went were not rude by any means, but they didn’t exactly have the greatest attitudes either. Overall, you get a great personal pizza quick and at a reasonable price. I’ll certainly be coming here in the future.

Good pizza and fast. Thin crust fans will love this pizza. We agree with another review, that said it was like«Subway» for pizza. It is very busy, noisy and crowded. We suggest going at an off time. They ran out of some ingredients, two hours near the end of their day, but there were plenty of others to choose from. Fun to be able to choose your own ingredients for a real custom made meal. 11.5 in pizza was about $ 8.95 and very filling.

I like to think of myself as somewhat a pizza expert, and I’m telling you: *this* is the right stuff! I am utterly impressed! Jimmy Johns knows nothing about«freaky fast» compared to this place. Which, I’ll admit, was a flag. I thought, «How good is this pizza going to be? I just placed my order a minute ago!» I was, however, pleasantly surprised at the quality of our pie! Delicious, fresh ingredients, PERFECT thickness of the crust, EXPERTLY baked to yield a crispy crunch across the entire pie, and the red sauce was extremely flavorful without being loaded up with a ton of spices. Salad size was generous enough for two people and ingredients were very very fresh. I very much enjoyed the clean and simple atmosphere that is inspirational indeed! This is a pizza worth seeking out and trying! So so good! I am beyond impressed!

Very cool concept to a pizzeria! Pieology has tons of options to add to their fresh dough, that is pressed right in front of you before, adding your sauce(s) of choice. Next you pile on as many veggies as you like, to live’n up that pie. After that, you add unlimited meats to your pie. Finally, YOUPOUNDTHATPIE! The«pieologist» are very nice & helpful. They also give you helpful suggestions on what tastes best on your pie. The brick oven looks AWESOME& gives the pie crust an amazing crunch. Helpful tip: All pies only cook for 5mins(I believe that’s what the manager said) & the toppings will not feel hot when it’s finished. Please know(cuz I was skeptical), the pizza is safe to eat cuz most of the toppings are either fresh veggies or precooked meat. The cost is very fair for unlimited toppings on a 11.5″ pie. We only paid $ 8.45+tax The inside of the restaurant looks trendy & fun. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit & my kids had a great time as well. MANGIA, MANGIA!

Good concept, good food, poor execution. I would like to return to see if they maybe had their b squad working. The good: It’s pretty straight forward, you walk in, order just like you would at chipotle. Solid atmosphere and setup. the food is good for the prices. The bad: uninterested employees, and manager. No welcome or can I help you, just a lazy basically what do you want. Witnessed multiple people standing at counter needing help, and staff ignoring them. I overheard another table talking about an employee taking his sweet time, blocking paying customers from being able to get their drinks or refills. Work on getting employees that don’t suck and I would be a regular.

Overall the food was good and at a fair price. The floors needed to be swept but clean due to the time of day. Will come back again. The staff was friendly. The young lady at the register could not make change when offered after the register has been rung. This is just a generational thing. She was friendly.

This place is basically«Subway but for pizza.» While not terrible it has a long way to go to even get to a chipotle level of quality. I felt like I was eating frozen pizza… Maybe that is why my 6 year old loved it?

Just like Subway & Willy’s burrito popularized customized sandwiches & burritos, Pieology takes pizza to the suto-gourmet. I really enjoy the concept of choosing a pre-idealized pizza or fully customizing a pie for yourself. Does STL really need yet another Italian/Pizza joint? Not really, but we definitely welcome a high-quality fast-casual joint Order at the counter, and they’ll bring the food to your selected table. One pie is def enough for 2 people. Also had the BYO salad huge but a lil high for $ 9 each

Imitation is flattery right? Qdoba, Chipotle, Quiznos and Pieology all have the same system and that system makes a great pizza! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when we walked in to Pieology tonight but overall excellent! I probably say this in all my reviews but I cannot wait to go back! If you aren’t picturing this already, you walk up to a counter with all of your favorite pizza toppings behind a sneeze guard. The menu does have a few pizza recipes so you don’t have to invent your pizza if you don’t want to, or you can build your pizza from the sauce up! 11.5″ pizzas are $ 8.45 with unlimited toppings! I will probably be back for lunch one time this week, I love this concept and I love pizza so it’s going to be hard to resist. Hey, here’s to New Years gym resolutions allowing more carbs in my diet right?

Had the opportunity to try Pieology for the first time today and wow, what a great concept. Think of it as a mix between a New York/California style pizza meets Subway. You have the ability to either choose a «standard» offering or custom make your pizza to you choosing. The crust is thin(which I prefer) and to comes out of the oven nice a crispy. I went with a pepperoni with extra cheese and it was fantastic. My lovely bride did a custom pizza with a wide verity of toppings and she said that it was one of the better pizzas that she has had in a long time(better than the«national» chains, by far!!) At less than $ 9 a pie, it is a great pizza at a great price. They also have a variety of salads to choose from and they all look great. We shared a Classic and would highly recommend it! I told the staff that this was the first time that I had been to a Pieology and they went out of their way to explain the ordering process and all of the options that I had, which was awesome! If you live in the St. Charles area or are passing thought the area on I-70, you owe it to yourself to stop by for a piece of pie. Your taste buds will thank you for it.

Terrible experience. Over-priced for small portions. Employees are very slow and have no clue what they’re doing. After 15 minutes I finally got my pizza, however: it had a long hair sitting right on top of it! I took the pizza to the manager who apologized and made me a new one. After another 12 to 15 minutes I was finally able to eat my food. I’ve had plenty of pizzas in my lifetime and this was nothing special or to rave about. If you want real pizza just go across the street to deweys pizza, for a couple more bucks get a higher quality and much better pizza.

This is one time I’m wishing for a 3.5 star rating. They are not quite 4 stars for me to round up. Love the concept, an 11.5 in pie for $ 8.45. Regardless if you get a Custom pie(unlimited toppings by the way) or one of their creations, the price is the same. This is a great place for when everyone can’t agree on what type of pizza they want. True to the fast casual concept, you will have your pizza in less than 10 min. I opted for a custom pie(see photo). Overall, it was pretty good, needs some salt, but the flavors were decent. The staff was friendly and they do not rush you to make your choices as evident from the couple that was in front of me. Next visit I’ll be trying the Mad To Meat You pizza to see if there’s a little more flavor.

Pieology is your typical fast casual pizza joint, allowing you to customize your pizza to your hearts desire. First you select your type of crust, then the sauce, cheese and toppings before your pie takes a short 5 – 10 trip into their wood burning oven. I ordered a Whole Wheat, Spicy Chicken & Bacon Pizza, with a Herb butter & Olive Olive sauce, only because they seemed to be out of the 3-Cheese Alfredo sauce. To call the chicken spicy was a mistake, there was zero spice to it. The crust selection here is limited to thin crust, house made, wheat, or gluten free. Overall the pizza was good, the crust was flaky and had a and the sauce really had a good taste. One problem I had was that initally they were very stingy on the toppings, however they did ask if it was good enough and added a bit more. Another issue was that their credit card processing was down, and I wasnt told this until after I placed my order and customized my pizza and presented my card. I am sorry but if you cannot accept credit cards put a sign up before the customer goes though the ordering process, luckily I had cash. Oh how I wish there could be a half star, because this location just opened last week and the staff is still struggling. However the food is good and reasonably priced. Overall the experience was good and I am sure they will work out some of the problems after being open for a few weeks. Solid option for the area, however the selection is rather limited when compared to places like PieFive Pizza.
