Ever the skeptic, I was more than apprehensive about seeing a chiropractor. «They’re not even real doctors», I told my mother when she suggested this absurd idea. Although I was worried I’d get MORE jacked up from seeing a chiropractor than just living with my shoulder randomly coming out of the socket, I made an appointment with«Dr.» Brown to check out my issues that stemmed from a rollover car accident. Dr. Brown was very friendly, sweet yet still professional. Her office is no frills, rather an old home(that I think she lives in the upstairs part of) located downtown STC and has several nice plants strewn about. It’s kind of creepy to me, again– that might seem rude since she lives there but it seriously could be haunted! Despite my many(perhaps irrational) fears, I am glad I went to see her. She explained to me that due to hemorrhaging that had calcified, I had one side that had been impacted and was super tight– and that the other side was overcompensating, resulting in my loosey goosey shoulder. Over a series of visits, I think my problem was somewhat alleviated through adjustments, electric stim, and massage. Although strengthening the surrounding muscles seemed to be the best solution to my issue, this definitely helped. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a professional and kind chiropractor in the STC area.
