Sweetwater Marina — Thank You!
I just wanted to give a shout out to the guys at Sweetwater Marina who couldn’t have been more helpful to me yesterday ²⁄₂₁. I decided to head down to Delacroix for an afternoon trip with my wife. I arrived at Sweetwater Marina around noon and waited for my turn to back down my boat. Capt. Jack was nice enough to offer to back my truck down while I stayed in the boat. When he proceeded to back me down my truck stalled and would not restart. I was looking at a wasted trip down to Delacroix. Capt. Jack and Ronnie popped the hood and started trying to help restart the truck and ultimately diagnosing the problem, fuel pump. We could not get it started. I told my wife it looks like we’re not fishing today. Capt. Jack said no sense in wasting the day, he offered to hook my boat and trailer to his truck and get me in the water, which he did. Upon my return from fishing, Ronnie help me fiddle with my truck which we ultimately were able to get restarted after I remembered the fuel reset switch on my Ford. This was my first trip to Sweetwater Marina, but it will not be my last. Capt. Jack and Ronnie went out of their way to help me and spent a great deal of their time. I really appreciate it.
