This is for drunks only that way you don’t care what you eat. The food comes from sams or wal Mart. As for me is sucks and does not even rate a star. Fish half fried and slaw taste like somebody out out a cigarette in it. Not brought food on the plate for a dog to eat. And I would not feed it to a dog.

Very friendly staff, the food was really good and came out in good time. Simple lunch menu and price for two is reasonable. The view of the water is nice, the temperature was excellent as well seeing as it was really hot out thus particular day. Ample seating and, the arrangement of indoor, patio and outdoor seating is nice. Plus they have live baby alligators.

Conch House food is above average for sure but the atmosphere is what really sets it apart. If you can get one of the tiki huts out on the pier it is guaranteed to be a great night. Apps: oysters were fresh and cut off the shell well(some restaurants hurry through the cut and leave a piece of shell attached). Conch fritters were very tasty. Entrees: We had the Florida Cracker Combo and crabcakes. Both were very good. Drinks: I can’t remember the exact names but we had several and all were very good.

The food here was sub par for the amount they charge ordered a med rare steak and med well to well done. Then took 45 minutes from start to finish on a tuesday night when it wasnt that busy. And the manager came to see me after the remake got there and showed him it was still med well no pink inside at all. And offered a homemade key lime pie that was store bought at best. We eat regularly at the beach bistro in atlantic beach and for 24.00 you get the same entrée but cooked by a chef instead of a line cook. And if you order med rare it is spot on. And get this only takes 8 minutes to get your food and it is mouth watering. This place is a tourist trap at best and should start lowering thier prices for sub par food and preparation of said food. Insane to charge that much for run of the mill dennys or village in style food. I have posted a picture of what med rare should look like just incase they need a reference on what it should be.

I live in Jacksonville and have been looking forward to eating here for years. I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with how management handled how the steak here was cooked. Asked for medium rare… received medium well. Was redelivered a medium steak 20 mins later. So, after waiting 40 mins for«the right steak» the manager felt that delivering a key lime pie for a $ 24 steak we could’ve made better at home… that was average to say the least made up for evtg? No class. No mgmt skills. Not going back. Travel to st augustine weekly and was looking forward to a wonderful meal. Not worth the time or money. Great view and waitress however!

Came here for a late lunch on Sunday. Got seated quickly and our server was attentive. Ordered 3 dozen oysters, peel and eat shrimp, and the alligator tail. The oysters were fresh and HUGE! Very very good and recommend this place for drinks and oysters.

Decorations and ambiance is awesome. They have private tables suspended over the water. Staff was great even with a party of 30. The food was fantastic. The views were great. They had a cool observation tower. The prices were a little pricy. Definitely try this place. I’ll be back if in town.

The hostess was the only friendly and alert person who worked here. The wait for a table was pretty fast. We were seated in the very back w ZERO lighting. So we read our menus with the light from our phones. They have 7 baby crocodiles– which was nifty. Our waitress seemed so lost. We already had drinks so once she noticed that she disappeared for what seemed like forever. She finally came back to get our orders. After waiting an hour we were finally given our food, Fish dip– which tasted like strictly of mayonnaise. So we didn’t touch it. Calamari w banana peppers. Was good but recommend asking for it w/o BPs. The fried shrimp platter was good, my friend said she really enjoyed it. Another one of my friends ordered the woodland salad? He said it wasn’t that great– they don’t have a very large selection of salads. So for someone who doesn’t eat just an average salad it was disappointing. Last but not least we had the filet mignon– which was 27 dollars but was excellent. I don’t recommend this place because the service is AWFUL, the seating is almost as bad and the lighting might just be the worst part. Our waitress had an odd name, you could tell English was not her first language. On the check she put her name down as consuela… But pronounced it completely different. You can clearly tell this place gets its visitors and revenue because it’s right where all the boats sit. Over priced. We will not be back

Last weekend my family and I decided to go to Conch House to celebrate my husband’s birthday. From the start our waitress(Yadera) was«abrasive» in a rush and acting strange. My sister in law ordered a non-alcoholic smoothie. The waitress brought a half filled pineapple of a watered down orange liquid that looked like it was what you would see on a table AFTER the guests have left. It literally looked like it was someone’s leftover.
I asked the waitress if we could speak to someone about it. I showed a mgr(male) what the drink looked like and he DID offer to replace the drink However, my sister in law felt grossed out by it and said she didnt want it and settled with water. No harm no foul, no confusion. The service was poor, everyone else received their food except myself, it finally comes out, again no harm no foul, no confusion. Meals over, waitress comes to my brother in law to ask if he wanted a to go box for his gator tail of which he only ate one. He says«no thanks» you can just dump that she asks did he not like it, he says no, it wasn’t really good the meat was too tough. No harm no foul, no confusion. In the time frame of just going to the rest room, I come back to the table and a female manager is at our table going off. Apparently the waitress told her we wanted to take the gator tail(which there were 2 orders so why would we just want to remove one. IF that’s what we were«trying to do») off the ticket which was NEVER our request. The manager comes to our family table saying, «OKFOLKSTHISISWHATWE’RENOTGOINGTODO, IMONTOTHISGAMEYOU’REPLAYINGANDYOU’RENOTGOINGTOBEORDERINGFOOD, EATITANDTHENDECIDEYOUDONTLIKEITANDWANTITREMOVED» I swear everyone at our table and the surrounding guests was DUMBFOUNDED, we thought we were being punked at this point. First off, NOONE asked for it to be removed she was told it was unsatisfactory and to just dump it. Secondly, We could not believe her behavior, our treatment and the UNPROFESSIONALANDOFFENSIVEMANNER she was speaking to us and treating us. I tell her that her treatment, behavior and choice of words were unacceptable(she let us know she worked for the owner) really ??? EVERY employee in there works for the owner even the dish washer and no one should be treating customers in that way.) She’s going back and forth«word vomit» all around and tells me do I expect her to change her vocabulary and she speaks that way to everyone. Highly doubtful, I don’t know whether she is racist or not but her being caucasion and us all being black would probably lead anyone with common sense in that direction. I find it hard to believe that all«folks» that come there would find that acceptable customer service or tolerate that treatment. Whether black, white, purple or green. Well at this point my husband pays the $ 100 tab plus an additional $ 100 dollars that we had already paid for drinks for a table of five. No one was drunk(do the math) and also had already paid for Reggae Sunday at $ 5 a person. There’s so much more to say but this in itself is bad enough. Other customers and employees were sincerely apologizing to us in utter disbelief of our treatment. My husband and I have been here regularly since 2010 and beyond the«battle royale» of drunken fools we usually have an ok time. NEVERAGAIN !!! Even funnier when we’re outside leaving the male manager had the nerve to come out and ask if we were leaving a tip. AREYOUSERIOUS ?!? Gratuity is for SERVICE and that waitress did NONE and caused the entire incident. Since Monday I have been trying to contact an OWNER and no return contact has been made. Word of mouth is a powerful thing and social media even MOREPOWERFUL. Sharing our nightmare experience should be a cautionary tale for future«folks» who may decide to spend their hard earned money here. Oh yeah and Happy Birthday to my Husband from the CONCHHOUSE, such a great celebration. Wouldn’t you agree …

Conch house is a cool laid back Sunday spot. Live reggae music on a floating dock. Drinks and food are good. The huts are highly recommended. They give you good view of the river and the floating dock.

We chose The Conch house to have our wedding reception. Since we live in Missouri it was hard trying to decide from pictures where to have our reception. I couldn’t have been more happy with our decision to go with The Conch house. From the service over the phone to the actual night of our wedding everyone was incredibly nice and professional. The set up was amazing and the food was amazing! Everyone at our reception went on and on about the food, views and the great staff! If your looking to have any kind of party I suggest The Conch house and the upstairs banquet room!

Such an amazing environment and mediocre food and horrible service. Our Waitress was nice but we felt like we were being rushed they the meal. Our entrees came and they put our plates down on top of all the dirty(and empty) appetizer plates. He walked away with an empty tray and left our plates thru lunch. For a $ 50 lunch service needs looked at. Great key lime pie but not enough to have us come back. You can’t have a great location and poor service. Food was ok. Had tacos which were tasty but black beans were hard this trip and not cooked long enough. Cuban sandwich is average at best.

The place itself is awesome! the food is very blah!!! I think this place could do so much better because of the location, if there food was on point I could see this place being the best place in St. Augustine. just seems really cheesy to me.

This was our favorite seafood meal during our recent trip to the St. Augustine area. We were in St. Augustine for a short-long-weekend and wanted to try some touristy and popular seafood spots. The food and service at the Conch House was the best of the establishments we tried. Its hard to describe the environs of the Conch House … its definitely a sea side theme, but is like they started building structures at different time periods and then linked them up. The interior is kitschy and bewildering(at the same time.) But cool. The dining room and its patio is «right on the water» so you can stroll along their pier before or after your meal. I get the impression there can be some rocking parties on their deck. We were super pleased that our waitress actually knew and understood the menu and was able to make suggestions and talk knowledgeably about the day’s specials! We got to try the Calamari appetizer based on our server’s recommendation and it was excellent. You get large rings of fried calamari, perfectly breaded and tossed with banana and sweet peppers. We tried a few of their proprietary dipping sauces with it and thought it was a great snack. There is free parking in the Conch House’s private lot …(the lot seemed oddly full considering the number of customers in the restaurant though.) When you’re driving to the Conch House be aware their signage to the parking lot is somewhat small and nondescript for such a poplar and longtime destination(but may local signage ordinances have something to do with that.) Just be on the look out for the sign.

This place was absolutely amazing. It was raining but it was really nice on the inside and the food was really good. You have to check out their wings and their shrimp. It’s great!

I was very excited to visit the Conch House. I was very excited when they had their own parking lot! We sat in our own tiki hut and got one of the house drinks! It was good and had a lot of different flavors. But in line with a lot of the other bars in the area everything was overpriced. We ordered the shrimp and artichoke bake as an appetizer. It was OK tasting but it was in no way worth the price. It was $ 10 for about 2 oz worth of dip. There weren’t whole shrimp in the dip and the order didn’t even fill up the serving dish. We only used about the 3⁄5th of the chips provided. Usually with a dip you need to ask for more chips! From that experience we changed our mind about having dinner there. That was a huge disappointment because everyone we know that had visited the area recommended we eat there. The ambiance was good but I could only see going there again for a happy hour.

Good beer and bar, TERRIBLE everything else. The bar has the potential to be the best in the area. It’s truly magical out there late at night, with dolphins swimming by, hanging over the water, watching the lighthouse beam of light swing around. Nothing beats this feeling and location. On the other hand, they can’t make decent food. Just drinks. So come for the bar and enjoy!

We stopped here for lunch on the way to the lighthouse. We wanted someplace on the water and this place delivers with their tiki huts and large patio. My wife and I split the banana pepper calamari and the Conch House Cuban sandwich. I also started with a cup of the Minorcan Conch Chowder, but my daughter ended up eating half of it. The banana peppers are an excellent pairing to the calamari. The Cuban was surprisingly good. The service was friendly, but not very attentive.

The concierge at our hotel recommended this place when we told him we were going to the lighthouse that is nearby. There is a great outdoor seating area, plus they have around 7 elevated, private tiki huts. All but one overlook the water. We waited around 15 minutes so we could get a hut. It was worth it. Beautiful view and a great breeze. I was once again disappointed by the kids menu — grill cheese, chicken nuggets, hot dog and fried shrimp. Some kids eat real food! So we ordered the daughter the fish sandwich from the main menu, with the fish of the day being flounder. We had it grilled for her and she ate every speck and loved it. It was $ 14 which is kind of pricey for lunch for a 7 year old, but I’m not a local so I don’t need to worry about it being a regular thing. The husband and I shared the calamari appetizer, a cup of seafood soup of day and the conch Cuban sandwich. The calamari was incredible — perfectly breaded and fried with a great topping of banana peppers and sweet peppers. The seafood soup was also very good, with lots of seafood in it. We were a little disappointed there was no spice to it, though. The sandwich was decent but a little heavy on the Swiss cheese. It was pretty much all I tasted. We shared key lime pie for dessert and it was divine. Nice tartness, creamy and great graham cracker crust

Breakfast Day 1. Conch house serves breakfast on Sat and Sun. Open at 8am. Louise & I are their first guests this morning. Debbie is taking good care of us. Both the indoor dining room and outside tables are available. They also have drinks available. I had their Minorcan Hash with a couple of eggs on top. Wife had an omelet with the potato cake very good. So worth a trip for breakfast. Next visit it’s Bloody Mary time

Seafoot Selection of the Evening, Market, also Tagespreis.
