Super staff. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was FANTASTIC. Best Jambalaya i’ve ever had. The Hurricanes were very tasty and for shrimp lovers the VooDoo Shrimp was to die for.

Chain tourist trap. Avoid at all costs. Seriously, I’d rather be hungry than eat here. Overly fried crap with patronizing servers. It’s the TGIFridays of Creole food. Shit remulade.

One of St. Augustine’s best restaurants. It’s located a bit off from the main road. And had a unique earthy atmosphere with a heated outside seating area. There are lots of plants and greenery that just makes you feel relaxed and tranquil. There’s something for everyone here from chicken, to pork, and seafood. I had the southern chicken sandwich with a side of French fries. The food was warm, fresh, and hit all the taste buds. The fried pickles stood out due to the combination of crunchiness and juiciness all in one. The staff was very attentive, nice, and with warm attitudes. Highly recommended.

While the dinning area was perfect; since they were crowded, our server was hardly there. The food and drinks were outstanding. Caution about the serving size, they are huge. I consider myself a big eater and I had to take a box home. The price points were perfect for a dinner of two. I do recommend this place. It was great to eat at, just try and avoid the main dinner rush. We were able to catch the sunset from the outside patio.

This was our first stop! We LOVE New Orleans and thought this would be a great first stop. Harry’s has a fantastic patio but we weren’t able to enjoy it. We were sat upstairs and inside. The portions are terribly small. I looked at almost all the pictures on Unilocal and those must have been dinner portions. I ordered the blackened shrimp and scallops and my plate came with less than 10, don’t be fooled the pictures include huge grit cakes [fillers]. I was hungry when we left. I should’ve ordered a burger or a PoBoy to get value. We were disappointed to say the least. Just be prepared they do NOT have their own parking lot.

There’s food, then there’s good food and then food so amazing, you remember it for the rest of your life. Harry’s is the one I’ll remember for life. After consulting Unilocal for a good seafood restaurant in St. Augustine, we settled on Harry’s. I knew the second I arrived that I was going to like this place. The patio ambiance was gorgeous; thick, leafy canopy… twinkle lights… live music… a pretty good start in my book. It looked and smelled so good outside, I expect the wait time to be hours. But space was ample inside and out, and after a reasonable 20 minute wait we were seated. Our waiter, Tony, was prompt and cordial, and had drink refills at our sides before we knew we wanted them. I didn’t get a picture of the Crab and Eggplant Napoleon appetizer we got which is unfortunate because it was beautifully plated. It also the only time I have ever liked, nay LOVED eggplant. Let’s be clear. Eggplant is the spawn of Satan. It’s the thing you eat when you want to be immeasurably sad about your life. Except at Harry’s. Harry’s made it beautiful. And delicious. And me a little angry that I shared it. It’s good enough and sizable enough to have as a light entrée even. I had the bayou grilled shrimp. Best shrimp I’ve ever had. It was tender, buttery, smokey… finger-lickin’ good. The corn maque coux side tasted like the summer backyard BBQs you dream about in the dead of winter. Sweet creamy corn with a blast of onion and seasonings. The only thing that could have made it better is if there were twice as much of it. And a greased-up man servant to shovel it directly into my mouth. I’ve never had Nola rice, but it had such a unique flavor, I’m not sure how to describe it. But I’ll have to look it up because I need it in my life. My husband had the New Orleans ribeye and smashed potatoes. I am thoroughly impressed that he allowed me to try his, as it was good enough to defend to the death with any number of those pirate swords that seem to line the streets of St. Augustine. The only time I have tasted a ribeye better than Harry’s was at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, and I paid something like $ 65 for it. At $ 25, Harry’s was a steal, like the pirate loot that seems to line the streets of St. Augustine. The smashed potatoes are also the best I’ve had in recent memory. They were smoky and buttery. I also need more of them in my life. Our friend got the crawfish étouffée. The only place in our town that we know serves it is Joe’s Crab shack, and we now know that comparably, Joe’s étouffée is like eating regular non-Harry’s eggplant. Immeasurably sad. Sad like the fact that there is no Harry’s back home to go to. We finished with the Oreo Beignets. The description of «six classic oreo cookies fried in a light fluffy „beignet“ batter, topped with white chocolate bourbon sauce and a drizzle of chocolate syrup» is just a nice way of saying, «eat this and then kill yourself, because you will never have anything else as good.» In short, most people eat three meals a day. So the chances of you having a meal you remember for the rest of your life is a feat in and of itself. Harry’s did just that. If you chose this as your meal, you won’t be disappointed. And if you are disappointed, it’s because you’re broken. Probably because you eat too much eggplant.

Nice place food taste great. If you’re in St Augustine eat here. I wanted to try the crab crusted redfish but the shrimp and crawfish pot pie caught my eye. It’s crusted with cornbread lots of flavor. Never had legit New Orleans food but if it’s better than this I gotta go. Lots of dishes to choose from here and not bad prices. I will be back although parking is horrible in St Augustine had to pay 12 $ for a spot. But the hour wait was worth it.

Went on a Friday night and did the 30 minute call ahead. We had a hard time finding a parking spot but ended up parking right behind harrys for $ 12. We were about 10 minutes past our seating time but still sat us with no problem. Scott our server was awesome. He explained the menu and our drinks were quick to the table. We had the calamari appatizer which was awesome. I had the jumbalya and the wife had the shrimp and scallops over a grit cake. The food was awesome! !!! The atmosphere was great. No complaints at all. We will be back!

Harry’s is a great spot to have a nice dinner outside under the stars. They have New Orleans style cuisine. Make sure you get a reservation on the weekend or show up early. I showed up around 7:00pm on a Friday and couldn’t get a table outside where the band was playing. We ordered the fried green tomatoes which were very good and covered in feta cheese. Anything covered in feta cheese is a win for me. The chipotle aoli that comes with it is absolutely delicious. I asked for a side of it and the waiter brought me some free of charge for my meal! I ordered the Jackson Square Redfish which is cajun redfish, sausage and shrimp in a slightly spicy sauce over rice. This was a little spicier then I would like. The waiter said it was mildly spicy so I bared the heat with a few glasses of water. After all, it is a cajun New Orleans dish, I should have known better! The staff was attentive and friendly. He made our first dining experience in St. Augustine a welcoming and present one.

This. Was. Amazing. Fantastic. Great experience. LOVEDIT! Wowzers was the food good! … The place was packed(we came on Valentine’s Day) but we found a pair of seats at the upstairs bar and had a great evening. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. We enjoyed a pair of appetizers. The Bacon Wrapped Scallops were amazing — the citrus glaze and mini grit cakes with tasso ham cream sauce were out of this world. So many flavors and texture on the plate. Also had the Crispy Calamari with remoulade sauce … oh, so good. Calamari were cooked just right(not too chewy) and the sauce was devine. Our entrees were the New Orleans Ribeye and the Salmon Rockefeller. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and virtually melted in your mouth. The creamy horseradish sauce had just the right bite to compliment the ribeye’s succulent seasoning. The smashed potatoes were excellent. The Salmon was amazing. A fantastic dish of grilled Atlantic salmon with a topping of spinach, bacon, and parmesan cheese, finished with a champagne cream reduction. Heavenly! Dessert was a perfectly executed Banana’s Foster … sorry, won’t describe it. You just have to experience it.

We dined at Harry’s for a bachelorette dinner. They do not take reservations, but you can call 30 minutes ahead for seating. We ended up waiting 15 minutes for a party of 8, which was great because they were just starting to get busy. The place is huge! Beautiful, large courtyard with tons of tables and two story building/old home for inside seating. Very clean, very simply decorated. The staff was nice and very patient. We ordered calamari as a starter– nothing crazy, but the dipping sauce was great. I ordered the shrimps and scallops Orleans– creole and spicy! Came with grit cakes and an etouffé sauce, delicious! I would def recommend this restaurant– great New Orleans style food, large capacity, clean and friendly. A+

First trip to St A, checked Unilocal and Harry’s sounded like a real find. Great lunch outdoors in the Courtyard, although it was 64, a host lit a patio heater near our table. Sweet! I chose the oyster po boy and my wife had the crab cakes — both dishes were great. Annie, our server was pleasant and on track, and very attentive. I’d come back and I have the Ocala location on my to do list. My Bloody Mary had a pickled green bean as a stirrer.

After visiting Harry’s a handful of times, it sure does deserve a review! First, I’ll start by saying I don’t think there’s a bad item on the menu. It’s so hard to think of a main dish to go with as there’s so many delicious options(bring a friend and share). I’ve had the blacked shrimp salad here 2 or 3 times and is the best salad I’ve EVER had. The blacked shrimp was done better than ever. I try to explore menus when I return to restaurants, and I did not eat this on my most recent visit. Speaking of variety, there’s tons of seating options here! The adorable, lite and cozy patio space patio space between buildings makes for an open and relaxed gathering spot to meet for dinner. Inside they have booths and tables, as well as an upstairs bar and additional dining with balcony seating. On what I would say is a cold night(70 degrees) the entire outdoor space was full on a Tuesday! We started with the calamari, which was really just ok. I’d skip on the calamari app and try something else that isn’t offered at most places. I went with my family visiting from Chicago so anything with fresh seafood is a treat. My sister ordered the shrimp and grits, while I think more than half ended up in my dad stomach. My dad told the waiter«this is one of the best meals I’ve ever had!» My dad is quite a food enthusiasts and I don’t think I’ve ever heard him say that(he usually prefers the ‘that was good, but I would have added _________’). My teenage brother went with a burger, no complaints left from him and there was no sign of any leftovers(this boy will also speak his mind if it’s not up to par). Sharing between my mom and dad, we ordered the crab cakes and stuffed shrimp both with orders of mashed potato. The crab cakes were delicious and perfectly crisp, warm and flavorful. I only had one of the stuffed shrimp, yum! They sure don’t disappoint with their shrimp dishes(or any, for that matter). Our server recommend the two different styles of mashed potatoes, one called the Las Vegas with cheese and bacon and the other had a sauce they use… Unfortunately, I didn’t pay much attention to the name of this style of mashed potatoes but OHMYGOD… I am going to head back here just to stuff my face with mashed potatoes and shrimp(ok… and maybe one of their yummy cocktails). We had to order the fried oreos… I didn’t even want to try them I was that full. However, my brother and sister gobbled them up in a blink of eye(I wish I was kidding) so they must be more than amazing. They looked delicious with a scoop of ice cream covered in chocolate but like I said… the mashed potatoes got the best of me. Service has always been great, friendly and efficient. P. S.- you won’t be able to walk out with out wanting to put your stretchy pants on and lay on the couch with a big food baby belly.

First restaurant we tried when we arrived to St. Augustine, because it came highly recommended on every website I read about the city. We were able to get a table in the courtyard right away. It had just finished raining so maybe that’s why. Otherwise, I hear it gets crowded. Here are the highlights: Service: Our waiter was awesome. He was funny, down to earth, and charming. He knew the menu and recommended dishes and cocktails. Wish I remembered his name. Drinks: Hurricane: We added the extra shot and holy hell was it strong. 2 or 3 of these can set your night up nicely. Pomegranate martini: Pretty good taste and it was served in a generous martini glass. Food: We started with the voodoo shrimp, which was described as creole garlic shrimp. It had good flavor but the sauce had too much of a gravy like consistency and less like garlic sauce. It didn’t taste like garlic either. Jambalaya: The tomato sauce kind of tasted like canned chef boyardi or spaghetti o’s. Linguine was overcooked, just too soft. The shrimps tasted too much like imitation shrimp — pretty low quality. Not at all what we expected from a restaurant known for seafood. French market pasta(recommended by our waiter): Great pick, good flavor but the most of chicken was slightly under cooked. Our entrees did come out about 10 – 15 mins after we ordered them which was just way too fast. Fried Oreo beignets: Holy shit — so good. It had white chocolate drizzled on it. Best dish of the night hands down. You have to try this if dining here. Live music was country and for a second I thought I was in Texas. It didn’t go with the NOLA theme whatsoever. Some light jazz would’ve done the trick. The guys did a good job but it wasn’t my style. Overall, I was a bit underwhelmed with Harry’s considering how highly every outlet spoke of this place. It just ended up being really touristy. The dishes could use some work, but the drinks, service and ambiance was great.

Food and atmosphere were both amazing! We sat out in the courtyard, loved the details, especially the classical music — refreshing change from what you typical here eating out. Everyone down to our two year old grandson were satisfied! I got the half pound burger, wife got«the freshest salad» she’s ever eaten, DIL got jambalaya.

If you’re looking for a chaotic rush then Harry’s should be your go to spot! Almost everything is St Augustine goes UP! Not only was the outside of the restaurant completely packed but so was EVERY single floor! Every room! Every inch of this restaurant! …And after tasting the food(an hour later) I figured out why! Our party ordered different things and I think everybody’s food was better than mines. I had the ultimate po boy with a side of red beans and rice: the shredded ice burg lettuce and onion«slaw» was gross, it threw the whole sandwich into the crowd! So I picked through what seemed like endless piles of that stuff just to discover perfectly fried food underneath. The seafood fondu was amazing, the comp bread and butter was filling and everyone else had a ball. The only reason why I wouldn’t return is because I like quite low key joints and Harry’s was a big ball of confusion if you ask me! Our server Patrick was great though; humorous, apologetic and very easy on the eyes. If you don’t mind bumping into people, not hearing your own thoughts or long waits then this restaurant is all you! Happy Unilocaling…

Why only one star, because I cannot give a negative star. The most disappointing restaurant experience ever, and I do not understand the four star rating from my fellow Unilocalers. I was excited based upon a four star rating! Okay so the 45 minute wait was my choice, not a problem it was 7:00 pm on a beautiful Sunday night. They do have a great outdoor dining area, and their was okay live entertainment. The wait staff was super and I settled in for what I anticipated to be a great seafood supper. We ordered fried green tomatoes and fried pickle chips, typical southern affair. I did not bother looking at the menu, some one said fried green tomatoes and fried pickle chips and I was in! So to steal a phrase from Sheldon, in what universe do you put feta cheese on fried green tomatoes? Well this place does and it adds nothing to the tomatoes. I ask the waitress about the crab cakes, she did a great job of promoting them, I just do not think she knows what lump crab looks like or they lied to her from the kitchen. The crab cakes they were supposed to be a fan favorite were mushy, wet and full of filler without a lump of crab to be found on any one of the three ¼″ thick patties. Quite the opposite of what she described them as. This was validated when without a word from me, my sister scrapped it off her flounder proclaiming how bad it was. Crab cakes here just suck. I also ordered the red beans and rice, I thought I was at a Mexican food restaurant eating refried beans over white rice, horrible, with no flavor. I do not recall what my mother ordered, and it was unrecognizable because the shrimp and scallops were swimming in some cream sauce stuff that masked the actual taste of the seafood. For the $ 165.00 we paid(excluding the bar), was a complete rip off. I’ve had better crab cakes and seafood at dives elsewhere. Did I send it back, oh heck no I’ve worked in a kitchen, this olé boy doesn’t send food back with complaints.
