Dingy and dated. Don’t get me wrong, the staff cleans, but you can’t clean peeling wallpaper and old furnishings. Was glad to leave.

We stayed overnight last weekend. The hotel was right off the highways! The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. It seemed they were expecting us. The room was clean and very comfortable. We stayed in the two room suite which had a separate bedroom and kitchen with a dishwasher. The breakfast was good! The staff seemed polite. The staff didn’t hover over and around like other places we’ve stayed at, yet they felt accessible. The only thing that I found inconvenient was that the hotel was 20 miles from department stores(IE. Walmart, target…) so a late-night run was out of the question. We were able to find a TJ Maxx a few miles away though.

We always stay here while skiing at Jay Peak, VT. It is a solid 45 min ride to the mountain, however, the price is more affordable than staying at the mountain. The rooms are clean and adequate, however, they don’t offer a room with two queen beds(only two doubles). The breakfast is good and not too crowded. They offer hardboiled eggs, bread and bagels with a toaster available. Yogurt and cereal, oatmeal, and a waffle iron and all accompaniments are provided. There is coffee, tea, juice, milk and hot cocoa. So enjoy!

Unfortunately this is one of the only hotels in the area. For that, and for the structure itself, I give 1 star. It was clean. End of good review. I got a great deal on Priceline for $ 60 a night here for a family reunion. Thought that was a decent price. Ends up being nearly double the total charge on my credit card for two nights. FIrst of all the cleaning staff left our door OPEN after they cleaned the room. We came back to our hotel room at midnight to find that the doors was slightly ajar and they tried to insinuate that it was us that had left the room door open(we had been away since 9am that morning). I also had a missing eyeliner pencil, but who knows when that went missing. Upon check-out we were slipped a bill under our door for a ‘quick’ check out. Now I had already paid for this by Priceline, and on the new receipt it says $ 119. Great, I thought, a discount for their leaving the door open. Not so. When I hand the receipt to the person for check out, she immediately takes it and says, ‘You were never supposed to see that’ and rips it up. Lucky I had taken a pic before of it. I called Priceline and they explained that they were not supposed to give any receipt as i had paid, and gave me a $ 25 credit for future stays. Go Priceline. I just looked at my credit card bill, and realized that La Quinta Inn had then charged the $ 119, which they told me wasn’t a charge. I’m now having Priceline deal with it because I just can’t get over how incompetent La Quinta Inn was. I assume a refund without apology is forthcoming from La Quinta Inn. Too bad.

Trainwreck of a hotel stay experience. My travel buddy and I had driven six hours(New York City traffic and Vermont back roads, you see) and were ready to crash. We approached the front desk. «Name?» “[Redacted]“ An older man typed what appeared to be War and Peace into a computer before telling us our room reservation had been cancelled. «But I indicated online that we asked for late check-in!» «Well, we didn’t see that on your reservation.» He was quickly able to assign us to another room, which he informed us didn’t have working air conditioning and we’d have to move out of in the morning… before stopping us as we boarded the elevator to let us know he had accidentally assigned us to a room that was already occupied. He writes another novel into his work station. «Okay, I’ve got you in [redacted.]» «Do we still have to move tomorrow morning?» «Yes.» We trudge upstairs to our room and pass our, barely unpacking(although the air con in this one appears to work) for fear of having to leave suddenly. In the morning we’re moved to a smoking room with a mold problem. In spite of leaving the windows open and fan on the entire day, the stench never really clears out and we request one more room change. This one, while larger, does not have the double beds requested but, at this point, we’re too frustrated to even bother attempting to get things straightened out. Positives? Uh, rooms are clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable with enough pillows and blankets. Towels are plentiful and smell fresh. Air conditioning is sumpin’ powerful… when it works. Free wi-fi. To top it all off? My travel partner double-checked his checking account … only to realize he had been charged six times.

The lady at the front desk was very nice. They had a great continental breakfast — yogurt, oatmeal, coffee and tea, fruit, bagels, and a waffle iron — my favorite. Our room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. We got a sweet deal on Priceline but accidentally booked the room for the following night. We got to the hotel and the lady at the front desk told us to call Priceline to explain that we got the wrong date. Priceline told us the hotel had to do it. We ended up paying for both nights — too bad the lady at the front desk couldn’t have just switched it for us but we understand she probably has to follow corporate rules.
