A Saturday night and you would think they would have enough staff to serve the crowd. The drinks came out super fast, the food, well that is another story. We ordered Fish and Chips, the waiter came back about 5 minutes later to say they were«all out».(Should have told us that they were out at the time we ordered.) So we ordered onion soup, and two basic hamburgers and it took at least one hour for the food to arrive. When it did come out, there was no soup, would have to wait another half hour for it so we said forget it and take it off the check. One hamburger was ordered with sweet potato fries instead of french fries. The hamburger comes out with regular fries. Oh the waiter says that would take a long time for the correct order of sweet potato fries. I said forget it. I’ll eat what’s here. The waiter blamed it on Groupon– everyone seemed to be coming in with one. You would think they would have the good sense to be prepared food wise, especially since it is a Saturday evening. It was a cheap meal, but then again you get what you pay for.

Service was very good and friendly. However, the burgers my wife and I had were all kinds of weird. A medium rare burger should not be gray with grill marks. Even the rare part was gray? Plus it tasted weird. The pickles also had a strange taste. I don’t expect a lot from chain type restaurants but this didn’t even meet the lower standard.

Who doesn’t like comfort food? This place is amazing. Today they’re having a St. Jude’s fund raiser. Come out for the kids! It will do your heart good. Live music, buffet and afternoon fun! Gotta love it. Fund raiser is until 5pm

Came here for happy hour and this place looks really nice, big space and outdoor seating a bonus. FYI this review is only based on drinks. So they have two sizes for mixed cocktails, one shot or two. I thought that was pretty neat. The outdoors has a fire pit and a good amount of tables to sit at or push together. The inside has tons of seating booths, tables, and high tops. Large square bar as well. I must say the floor was disgusting we kept getting our shoe stuck any time we tried to move. The bathrooms smelled and they were located right next to the kitchen. Either they don’t clean well or they are going for that type look. Either way it was gross. The only time I’d come back is if we were doing happy hour with coworkers again, other than that I really wouldn’t be making my way here.

The food is just ok. It’s very inconsistent especially for a chain restaurant. What tastes great one time might not taste so great the next time. The potato soup is the bomb though. Vegetarians beware almost everything has meat. Pretty decent beer selection. They have some good craft beers. A lot of different mixed drinks The service is hit or miss. Often times if you come here on a busy weekend night the hostess just seems to disappear. One time we went just for food on a Saturday night and asked to be seated multiple times but we’re just ignored. Servers can be extremely attentive or just flat out horrible.

This place is dirty. I came here for Happy Hour with my colleagues and was very surprised. I immediately noticed how sticky the floor was. Upon looking down you could see food and other debris on the black surface. There were also 2 flies that joined us for our entire meal… just buzzing around. My turkey club was good… but the plate it came on was dirty. All in all I wont be back. I hope they clean this place(it was dirty at 3pm so I can only imagine how bad it gets later at night). Our server was very nice!

This was my first visit to a Bennigan’s. It was Saturday at noon. Employees must park off the premises since the lack of cars gave the impression that the place was closed. A car pulled in and the people went in so I then followed. I ordered the Chicken & Shrimp Cajun Pasta as well as Front Porch Strawberry Lemonade with apparantly a whole lot of ice. The atmosphere indoors is dark despite being near the window on a sunny day. I watch the Syracuse/LSU college football game and CNN while listening to Chumbawamba. Football game audio was later turned on at the bar area. The food was really quite tasteful although I could had eaten a tad more but I guess that’s what the dessert menu is for.

Worst bartenders I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I’ve been there a lot and no matter who is battening, they’re bad. Today I waited over 40 minutes for a single beer. They forgot about me twice then tried to give me the wrong order. A week ago I ordered an appetizer the same time as a friend. He got his and ate while I had to wait another half hour for sub par food. Whoever owns this new bennigans really needs to straighten it up. I’m done for a while with them and their crap service.

WOW. I was awed by Bennigan’s revamp. I truly wish I gave Bennigan’s a second chance sooner! I used to go to Bennigan’s as a kid when it was completely run down. I never even considered going there again until my friends convinced me to. The building and décor is gorgeous; it doesn’t even belong on Midland Ave. However, once you’re seated in the restaurant, you don’t even notice the«ugly» surrounding area. I adored the outdoor seating. It’s a hidden gem! Although I wasn’t drinking, my table LOVED their Irish Car Bombs. To our surprise, the fries were some of the best we’ve ever had! The food was«chain» quality, but still very good. The prices were reasonable as well. I’m looking forward to going back for happy hour!

Good Olé Benigans. Used to go to one on LI once or twice a week back n the day. They all closed and we didn’t know what to do. Then we hear of a rebirth in Saddle Brook, NJ and think, this has got to be too good to be true. Well it turned out to be as good a reunion as we could have hoped for. Shared app for the table. The big sampler. Awesome. Grammy — build your own burger. Lettuce, tomatoes, fried onion straws and crumbled blue cheese, cooked exactly to order. Me — Monte Cristo, exactly like i remembered it, sweet potato fries, well done. Everything awesome. Wife — Monte cristo also, regular fries well done. Awesome. Baby — shrimp on skewers with rice and broccoli. Everything good, but she said the broccoli was spicy? Great service, great meal, great price. Get in there and enjoy!

I actually never heard of this chain until I saw it on here looking for a happy hour place in the area. I went with 3 other girls for a late happy hour/dinner. The deals were pretty good, although we just ended up getting a beer tower(which is the same price happy hour or not). It was $ 30 for a 100oz tower. We actually asked for the 60oz but I guess they decided not to listen to our request. Whatever, thats not a big deal. Our waiter was super nice, he dealt with our pickiness for which beer to get. Each of us has different taste, so you see where thats a problem right? He gave us as many samples as we wanted and eventually we settled for the Brooklyn Summer. As for the food, we got the wings, the quesadilla, and the nachos. All were part of the happy hour deal i believe. The quesadilla was delicious, the chicken was so flavorful! It was kind of small though. The nachos were standard and the wings were okay, wouldn’t get them again. I would come back for the other items on the menu however, they looked delicious. But maybe not again for the happy hour. On thursdays, they have an outdoor DJ on the patio. It gave it the happy hour vibe for sure. Great place for groups as well!

So today, the commissioner of my softball league decided to host a get together with the league here after our games today. Personally, this was my first time visiting this establishment. In general, they have a large parking lot. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor was nice and cool and the outside tables had umbrellas. The Bartending staff was also extremely nice and pleasant. When it comes to the food, of course I wasn’t expecting the best, however, there is room for much needed improvement here. All of the food was extremely greasy, I can say this because we tried a bunch of appetizers. The buffalo chicken wings were overly breaded, the sliders had oil dripping from them(also had no flavor), the onion rings were decent but ‘greasy’, the chicken quesadillas were pretty good but still somewhat ‘greasy’ and the guacamole was not as fresh as it could have been, and the potato skins were decent, however, they were pretty dry. The wait staff also brought us all this food, without giving us any utensils or plates to eat off of, which was kind of annoying until I asked for them to bring it. I want to also mention, this place also has happy hour but it only consists of $ 2.00 coors draft, no other domestics. All and all, I was not a fan of the food and the same goes for my teammates but it looks like this could be a pretty chill late night spot. lots of room, they have a decent craft beer collection and their drinks were nice and strong.

Went there for dinner on a Thursday night and was really disappointed. First we walk in and the place is pretty much empty so the waitress seats us a booth and walks off. This booth was tiny and really uncomfortable so we ask someone else to move us. The waitress asked us why we wanted to move and when we told her she said«oh ya I get a lot of complaints about that one booth». I don’t understand why she sat us there then if the place was empty!!! So then they sit us outside where the music is blasting and this double date next to us was smoking in a non-smoking area. However, the staff did nothing to ask them to stop which is actually illegal in the state of NJ. The food was terrible and the surface sucked! The waitress even told us that if we wanted something on tap we had to go to the bar and look because she didn’t have a list. This I found very unsettling and RUDE. I will NEVER go back there again and I would never recommend anyone try that place.

I took my mom here for dinner yesterday for Dominican Mother’s Day and was hugely disappointed! We ordered their version of a shepherds pie, terrible! the meat was so uncooked it was inedible! Then we had their ribs which was boiled and not grilled also a bad choice! I do have to say, my glass of Little Black Dress Cabernet was delicious! Maybe the Irish like their meat undercooked in that case, enjoy! I’ll pass.

Unless you’re living under a rock somewhere, you know that North Jersey has no shortage of Irish themed chain restaurants. Most are pretty good and offer solid value and decent food. Years ago, Bennigan’s was one of these who I would have placed near the very bottom of the list. Food was blah, as were drinks, service and just about everything else. Well folks, I am happy to report that they have returned, resurrected from the dead and a whole hell of a lot better. Of all the chains, premium restaurants like Shannon Rose excluded, Bennigan’s is near the top. I even like them more than Houlihan’s or TGI Friday’s where dinner and a couple of drinks would easily cost you double, if not more. I went there last night with my older son. Unbeknownst to us, it was happy hour. When I got the check, it was really happy hour. 2 entrees and 2 beers… drum roll please…$ 22.00. Really? Really! Food is good, they have an extensive drink menu and something like 20 beers on tap. They also have attentive service, a comfortable outdoor seating area and a massive bar. Whether you’re just looking for good cheap food and rather nice atmosphere or want to have a few drinks while watching a game, Bennigan’s should be high on your list. They are on mine.

We’ve now been here twice and I really don’t think we will be going back, maybe for a drink, but not to eat! First off, we walked in and that«dirty bar rag» smell hits you right in the face! Gross, once you get past that smell and unstick your shoes from the floor, order a drink, you’re going to need one. The last time my husband and I were here, we walked in, no one was at the hostess stand, finally after 3 waiters walked by the fourth finally told us «yeah sit wherever». So we grabbed our own menus and sat ourselves down. We each got a sandwich, beer and fries. The food — mediocre! If you’re looking for a cheap happy hour go for it, if you looking for a quick bite and don’t really care how it taste, go for it.

Oh Bennigans… where have you been? This place literally vanished off the face of the earth and then just popped back up 10+ years later in the same location, weird! I’m not sure how many other restaurants they’ve reopened lately but I haven’t seen any other local ones yet. Food seems to be generic as most other chain restaurants. Applebee’s, TGIF, etc. nothing special at all to me. I also remember their awesome monte cristo being better back in the day then it is now but still worth trying if you never have. Fries are boring and bland and apps are«ok». I must commend them on their beer selection though! They do have a nice selection of IPA stuff and other beer you normally don’t get at the chain restaurants. Service is usually decent and friendly. 2.5÷3 ish for me

Bennigan’s has a good beer selection but the drink menu on our table was out of date and they didn’t have half of what was on there. Kind of annoying but whatever. The food here is nothing to write home about as other Unilocalers have made crystal clear. But is it really any different than other chain restaurants serving microwaved food? No, not really. Their service was good. Our waiter was an attentive, nice guy. Everything came out quickly and correct. Even the hostesses were nice. I really give Bennigan’s 2 ½ stars but rounded down because the food isn’t good and that’s more of a deal breaker than bad service. My grilled chicken was definitely the pre-cooked chicken you can buy from Shoprite. I believe it’s Tyson brand fully cooked chicken breast fillets. The wings tasted rubbery because they were over cooked. The french fries were soft because they were undercooked. The spicy chipotle burger wasn’t spicy. The ribs were fine. Probably not slow cooked or made in house but that’s ok, they were good.

I enjoy the new Bennigans very much. Happy Hour specials are great! they have so many beers the choose from and they are all $ 3-$ 5 if you go during happy hour or after 10pm. The food is always delicious. I personally would recommend the KilKennys Country Chicken Wrap, my personal favorite. They have an fire pit and outdoor seating so on nice nights its cool to get some drinks and chill there. They offer beer towers, they have all sporting events on and offer live music, beer pong tourneys and other cool events on certain nights. I am FAN for sure! so glad to have this place back and completely revamped after it originally shutdown a few years back
