2nd time visiting this dive bar and I must say that I’m a fan!!! Tina(Bartendar) is amazing! The owner Mike is friendly! I went on a Thursday for karaōke and the host was super nice! They have drinks specials. But where else you can get $ 1.50 Yuengling Mug. Food are pretty cheap for bar food standard. Plus they have a decent amout of Tv’s!!! Must Visit!

Normally when I walk into a bar, and the most exotic beer they have on tap is Heineken, I’ll run the other way. However, since it was the bar of choice for a night out with co-workers, I decided to put my pretentious beer tendencies to the side. So what they don’t have a very big beer selection, but I was starving when I came in and decided to try their food. I decided to go with their burger, what I use as a litmus test to gauge the quality of a bar’s kitchen. First impression, the burger was really small. It fit on a muffin, in fact it was served on a muffin! No biggie though since it’s pretty cheap and comes with fries, except that it tasted terrible. McDonalds serves better tasting beef than this joint. The crowd isn’t too bad and it got surprisingly packed quick, on a Tuesday(queue ILoveMakonnen). Bartenders aren’t too friendly though, at least not the ones working that night.

First time checking out this bar since living in the area, … Great attentive staff and also good drinks, it is a simple dive bar with cover bands and karaōke on other nights. Def a cool spot to run for a quick drink and simple hotdogs made at the bar!!. Also the juke box is fun to play as well. Good place in my opinion…

Dont have much to say about this place, really dim lighting and just same usual crowd there with same kind of music. Cheap beer but when i rarely go il usually leave after 1 because of all the odd regulars that never leave and are always the only ones there. Wouldnt advise you to get food, im from elmwood park so ive been here enough to say it seems a bit on the dirty side, but im no health inspector! Lol

I’ve lived in EP for 2 years and this is my first visit to BLVD. If it was not because my co-workers regularly goes here on Friday nights as a part of our office happy hour ritual, I would probably never set a foot on this place. From the outside, it doesn’t look like a bar. And the interior’s lighting are somewhat on the shady side. But where else you can get $ 1.50 Yuengling mug. Food are pretty cheap for bar food standard. Oh, and no street parking on its perimeter. You gotta park on the lot across the street.

Blvd Bar and Grill is local bar, but it’s not really awesome. It’s a few blocks from my office, so I’ve had a few drinks there. The décor is somewhat interesting, especially the cement parking blocks used as footrests by the bar. Beer selection kinda sucks, they only carry macro brews. But the drinks are cheap enough. I’d probably only choose to come here if it was walking distance from my house.

I would give the BLVD3.5 stars. Like previous reviews have said, it’s a good local bar with cheap drinks. Never really gets too crowded which is a good thing i think(for me atleast, not the owner). Does get a bit crowded when they have live music however. They used to have one dollar Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap but they have since changed it to one dollar Yueng Ling. No complaints there. A dollar beer is a dollar beer. I don’t care if it’s Olde English, if it’s for a dollar it’s for me. Mixed drinks and shots are about the same price you’d get at any local bar/pub. The digital juke box is also a plus. It always seems to have the most recent music on it which is awesome. Now on to the food. I haven’t tried the whole menu but all in all its pretty solid for bar food. The pizza is good and has a decent selection on toppings. Buffalo chicken tenders are my personal favorite(sauce on the side). Nice and crispy! One thing i had that i didn’t really like was the New York strip steak. Too much fat and grizzle for my liking, but had decent flavor. The«fresh cut» fries seemed like they were fresh out of the bag and also under cooked. I would stay away from them. Butterfly fries are pretty good and a nice little snack. In terms of service BLVD is top notch. The bartenders are friendly and you never have to wait too long for a drink. The bar is pretty spacious and has decent amount of seating between the bar and the tall tables. They have Multiple TVs to catch various games on. Two lots across the street to park in plus on street parking so finding a spot is never a problem. Just watch out for cops on your way out. Elmwood Park is notorious for handing out DUIs to anyone and everyone. In conclusion BLVD bar and grill is a good local spot with cheap beer. If you’re into dollar beer check it out.

This is a decent little place, its a local spot i go to very regularly. Its pretty clean and the bartenders are all very nice women. Cant go wrong with the prices either, all the liquor costs significantly less then big name bars. They have $ 1PBREVERYDAY! best deal around honestly The food is surprisingly pretty good bar food. I highly suggest either the bar pies(buffalo chicken is awesome) or the quesadillas. The quesadillas are awesome cause they fry the chicken first then put them together making for an awesome taste. Overall its a nice little local place, its never packed at all, its cheap. Not the classiest place around thats for sure, but some nights they have live music which is cool and you can go have a cheap beer with friends! I originally reviewed this place and did not give it a fair score. after reviewing another local bar and giving it 2 stars because I’m a nice guy and felt bad giving them 1 i realized i needed to update this review. NOMORE $ 1PBR but the Yuenglings make up for it, $ 1 all day everyday, how can you go wrong? the food is still solid and overall this is still a great dive bar. Go have a $ 1 beer, ask one of the bartenders for some darts and go play darts with some friends and watch the football game. its always a good time. Tina and Michelle are the best bartenders.

Took the family for dinner, as my son stated that their quesidilla were«banging». Although we all sat down at the same time our food came out one at a time. I ordered quesidilla and I was not impressed. Seems they are breaded/fried chicken inside and some cheap cheese which I did not care for. I’m used to grilled chicken, vegetables etc. the pizza looked decent but I wasn’t impressed with anything except the price of beer. It’s a corner bar so I really didn’t expect much. My waitress was on her cell phone while dealing with our food. Not a great move. Won’t be going back, but I’m sure my son will.

Im not the biggest fan of this place although they always have $ 1 PBRs and every once in a while you get a good cover band like None the Less. The service is hit or miss. It’s best if you come here with enough people that your group is the only group there. I’ve never had the pizza but people seem to like it a lot. It’s probably worth seeing once but it is nothing special, just cheap.

3.5 stars. Came here on a wednesday after work. Was always curious about this place because I live nearby, but it looked pretty shady from the outside. I was pleasantly surprised by the lighting and tvs. Although all that was playing was the news because it was fresh after hurricane sandy. $ 1 mugs of yuengling made me very happy.

Great owner, very chill and talkative(or not, if you’re just in the mood to do your own thing). The bartenders are alright(a little stuck up), one of them is super hot, you’ll know which one when you see her. The one problem I have with this place is the crowd it attracts, how do I say it? Crackhead central? Very fake? etc. Live bands/comedy nights are mediocre, and the place has an overall dirty vibe. The one thing this place has going for it is its $ 1PBR’s– for all you college hipster folks!

Nice Owners, Bitchy Bartender. The Former Jerry’s Tavern Dive Bar with loads of local regulars sitting at the bar, not the most welcoming place but this is NJ. Short pours on the mixed drinks from some bar wench who thought she was hot shit, lighten up girl. For the most part the bartenders are what you would expect in a dive bar, not to good. Open mic night eek, no thanks! Food meh, I’m fine with a soft pretzel from this bars kitchen, not a fan of dive bar food. The folks that hang out here are looking for cheap and they have found it, so the«clientele» is what you would expect at this joint. The 2 Stars are for the 2 owners and nothing else.

I was drawn to this place because they hold open mics on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday nights. They have a great set up for solo musicians or even a full band. They even provide a drum set, guitar amplifiers, and a PA. The acoustics were surprisingly good for this spacious corner street bar, and I was able to enjoy the live music alongside their always $ 1PBR’s. The bartender was very friendly, the drinks were cheap, and they serve food until midnight. It’s a dive bar that seems to draw an older crowd, but I’ve only been there once so it might be different on other nights.

This is, by far, one of Elmwood Park’s best well kept secrets. It’s right off of route 80. Very easy to find via GPS. It’s a small corner bar. Great service do to a knowledgeable staff and Mike(owner). My first time there, he greeted me like he knew me. Love that about a bar owner! That shows he cares about his patrons. Great liquor and beer selection too on top of drink specials. Happy hour is from 3pm-7pm/$ 1 off all drinks and PBR is always $ 1! Plus, their kitchen is open until MIDNIGHT with a great selection of bar food meals or actual sandwiches that would give a Subway or Blimpie a run for their money. I HIGHLY recommend the Jack Daniels cheese steak sandwich. On top of that, they have multiple TVs plus a projector screen for big games, jukebox, couple of video games. They also have live music sometimes along with, and get this, POKERNIGHTS!(Mondays and Saturdays) No real betting but you can practice the game with actual enthusiasts of the game on actual poker tables with a professional dealer. This place is a haven for bar lovers, poker lovers and beer enthusiasts alike. Plenty of parking across the street in the parking lot too.

Great dive bar. The beer is cold, cheap, and delicious. Did I mention cheap? We dropped in for a friend’s birthday. His band set up in the back and we had a drink special for the night. Even more impressive was the fact that they made custom posters and fliers highlighting the band and birthday party. This added up to a great night. The TVs are pretty old, but there are enough of them to show all the games you would want to see. There’s also plenty of space for the size of crowds you’re going to see. Parking is pretty easy to get, there’s a lot across the street. If you get hungry late at night, there’s a diner within walking distance(thank god, my DD was busy).
