While I don’t often eat meat, I can’t say that I’m a devoted vegetarian either. So just because, I would occasionally have a hankering for a good old fashion hot dog. Maybe for sentimental reasons as a child, when my grandmother would make them for us, or when I would always have to have a hot dog when my family took us to the drive-in, or because it was a necessary staple when visiting the fair. Since this business was always along my route to and fro from work, it was easy enough to stop in and have a quick lunch or dinner. My favorites were the chili dogs, corn dogs or their chili fries. The prices were dang cheap for the amount of food you got too! Along with the delicious fixings of chili, cheese and onions. I loved it all!(Except I could never get used to sauerkraut)… You may have noticed my subtly in referring to this Wienerschnitzel in the past tense. That’s because they are no longer in business, but it recently occurred to me that I had never reviewed this place before during my years as a Unilocaler. So now I can only write this review with the knowledge that this information will no longer be useful, funny or cool to anyone. But I had to express how sad it was to see another business not make it in my hood…

I was totally thinking about my sister, the Hot Dog Queen when I stopped here for a quick bite with the kids in between basketball games. The way that she talks about a good, satisfying dog makes my mouth water. But uughhhhhh… now I KNOW I HATE hot dogs. And Costso puts their hot dogs to shame!
