Where do I start with this store… Well, first off they do buy a lot of clothes from people but, they don’t know their brands very well. The pricing is based off whatever the person buying wants it to be. They tried giving me 6 $ for a vince sweater that was over $ 500 when I purchased it. But then they gave me 10 $ for a no name dress I got at the other weave store for $ 0.98. Weird. The director lady has a really bad attitude and bothers people when they are trying to shop. The store still has no sign in the front so it’s kinda hard to realize it’s an actual retail store. If you choose to donate clothes they either buy less from you or sell your stuff to goodwill.

I stumbled across this place while thrifting around the city. They opened 3 weeks ago and I was surprised by the quality of items they already had for sale. Pros and cons from my experience: Pros: –they took a lot of my clothes(compared to other stores), the prices were fair in comparison to similar shops(but if you expect to get a lot for your designer apparel then you might look elsewhere), they had a lot of good clothes(for women at least), benefits a good cause Cons: –no one explained their policy to me for selling/trading. It would have been nice for the staff to have gone over the paperwork and reviewed their pricing etc… –guy who was working there was stuck up and not friendly –they have to enter all the items you trade into their system before they can pay you, so you either wait around or come back Overall its a cute boutique type store that has good finds. However, being new, they have some polishing up to do. They do not seem familiar with their brands and some of the pricing seemed off to me. Ex– some brand named items were being sold for cheaper than other general store pieces and no names. Staff seemed confused and were providing inaccurate information.

Finally got a chance to stop by this new store today. I came with a small/medium-ish sized tote bag of clothes to sell and the entire process took around 30 minutes(you will have to do a bit more paperwork than other buy/sell/trade stores). They ended up buying around half of my items, and I feel like the store credit/cash amount was fair. While I waited for them to look through my items, I took a quick look around the shop. Women’s clothes are pretty well stocked, but I feel like they could use more men’s items. Also, the vintage section was just a tiny rail hanging off the wall! They should definitely have a bigger rack dedicated to vintage items. Prices are average for a buy/sell/trade shop, maybe slightly higher than Freestyle, but it’s totally worth it because the store supports WEAVE. WEAVE is a really wonderful local organization that provides free assistance to victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault. The store is in a great location(on the corner of 19th and K, next to Lowbrau, Spaghetti Factory, etc.) and has lots of potential. As for interior design, the wood paneled walls are super cool– but a lot of the décor was kind of meh, reminded me of being in an old lady boutique in East Sac or something. No offense but the heels hanging on the picture frames and the random detached door in the corner looks a little tacky… I don’t know what kind of vibe they’re going for(shabby chic?) but I think the shop would look a LOT more clean and appeal to a much bigger crowd if they kept the décor minimalist/industrial. The employees all seemed friendly to me, although during the payout there were some delays. Another thing– the speakers right on the counter facing the customers is a little awkward. The music wasn’t even that loud but I still had a hard time hearing the woman behind the counter. Maybe install some wall speakers or move them to the back of the store? This is a new store so I think they are still working out a few kinks in their system, which is totally normal and isn’t a big deal. I definitely plan on recommending this place to friends, and returning within the next month or two to see how much they’ve settled in and improved.

First things first: GREAT Men’s selection, a decent variety of plus size fashion and FUR lots and lots of FUR! Did I mention this place supports WEAVE?! Shopping for a cause YESPLEASE! Let’s get down to the Pros and Con’s of this place. After waiting an hour my 4 bags were finally looked through and they knew what they were going to buy YAY! With two people sifting through the bags and me being the only person any other store my patience would have been tested BUT it was their grand opening so meh! It happens! They emptied 2 big a@& bags of stuff to buy of the four huge bags I brought in all of which had been refused at Freestyle only an hour before. Initially I was stoked about all the stuff purchased until I thought about the price breakdown. They easily purchased 30+ items including a pair of lucky jeans, some leather Liz Claiborne flats, Betsey Johnson flats, Dana Buchman flats, NWT Charming Charlie dress, a leather skirt, let me tell you they got some great stuff from me so if I were you I’d go in… Like NOW! I digress… Initially I was like YAY! Then I started to do the math… Ummm did you guys just pay me $ 5 per item okay yea NO! I’m going to definitely chop this one up as a loss but then again I will take the L because it is for a good cause. My recommendation is definitely be diligent in what you are selling and what they are giving you or you may end up pretty upset. They have a pretty great selection with a wide variety to choose from men, women, plus size fashion and are taking quite a bit in terms of trade. They do 35% cash and 40% credit, this place benefits WEAVE, and I believe you can donate there as well. I will say unlike the other consignment stores the selling aspect is a bit of a lengthy process as they have to input each item BEFORE. you cash out. So after waiting an hour I still would have had to wait even longer. A plus is you can drop off your items and return later… Then again the pricing would be an issue for me so I for sure doubt I’d do that. Would I go back to sell? For sure! I’d definitely be more proactive when it comes to what they give me for my stuff regardless if it’s for a good cause as you can always sell other places for more of a ROI
