I’ve been going there for fifty years without a complaint. I can’t say how Larry and Ray compare with other craftsmen because I’ve never felt the need to go anywhere else. To do that would be a sacrilege.

I have been going to «The Dakota’s» Hairdressers since 1978, going on 36 years now and have always had great cuts and even better conversations with both Ray and Larry. The cost of a haircut has not really gone up much over the years, but currently even at $ 18, it is well worth it. They keep the plave clean, friendly and current newspaper and magazines if you have to wait, which if rare. If you are visiting from out of town, passing thru on business or just moved to the area, excellent place to get your hair done. Bob Mac

Very friendly barber and relaxed unhurried atmosphere. Shop is nice and clean and has an inviting ambiance. Price is reasonable ($ 16 for vanilla haircut).

I’ve been getting my haircut here (on and off) since — well this is actually where I got my first haircut 20+ years ago!
Larry & Ray still hold the place down, and give a solid, precision cut every time. I must say, that I’m not one to talk it up with my barbers, but I do enjoy catching up with Ray. Better yet, sometimes I won’t see them for over a year, but when I come back, they always remember me.
If you’re new in town and/​or looking for a solid barber, I’d recommend Dakotas. They’re kind of hidden on the side of an old Land Park stripmall, but it’s worth the venture.
