Dropped in on a Tues afternoon after getting Unilocal recommendation. Couple people ahead of me but man, this guy is fast. Speed in a barber isn’t necessarily a good thing, but everyone was happy. My cut was fast, looks great and was a great price. I highly recommend this place and I’m happy to have found it on the first try in Sacramento.

Barbershop with an old school feel inside. Sanford and Son was on the TV while I waited for my haircut. When it was my turn, Ted lined me up perfectly, and finished it off with a straight razor. Total for my cut and facial hair lineup was $ 15. I’d recommend to anyone although he’s closed on Saturdays!

I’ve been looking for a real, old school barber for a while. I didn’t want to spend $ 25.00 for a basic cut, I didn’t want a massage, didn’t need my hair spiked, moused, straightened,.slapped or tickled. I just wanted a real, honest haircut that wouldn’t break the bank. Ted’s is perfect. He’s professional, polite, fast and reasonable. Exactly what I was looking for and I would highly recommend Teds to everyone.

My 5yr old son is picky about his barber’s. After his barber of 2yrs left to the air force, we tried a couple of places and were not satisfied. We found Teds and he was comfortable and I was happy with the price, the environment, the hair cut and Ted. I recommend Ted to everyone.

We’ve been bopping around to different barbers for my 6 year old boy, but I believe we’ve found «our» barber. Close to home, cheap, nice cut, friendly barber. And this was the first time my boy didn’t grimace when someone used the clippers on him. We’ll be back!

Found this place because my son’s usual place was closed. Ted is very friendly and his style of cutting is very straight forward. One ingenious thing he does after the hair cut was to vacuum your head to get those tiny hair cuttings. We were laughing at first… who would vacuum one’s head!!! But his way works better than the regular brushing of clippings you get from other barber shop. My son really liked your cut so we’ll be coming back :)

If and when you’re in need of a quick, no-​frills, quality haircut for a great price, let me recommend Ted’s Barber Shop. Located on Freeport Blvd. in South Land Park, Ted’s seems to be a neighborhood staple and if you arrive early enough on a Sunday you might just beat the crowd. If not, find yourself mingling for a few minutes with the other gentlemen while Ted quickly moves folks in and out of the barber chair. I’ve only been several times now, each on a Sunday, but it seems to be a one man show and he does a great job.
I have my regular stylist I’ve been using for years but when I need a last minute cut or she’s on vacation, Ted’s is where I go and he hasn’t let me down yet. Cuts are ten bucks and quick. If you like wash & rinse head massage treatments, this isn’t your spot. No shampoos, no massages, just quick affordable cuts.

I came across Teds when I was across the street getting a sandwich! I can say Ted does a great job for just being a single barber. I have brought my son here and he sure can do fades great! Military style. As a veteran fades are important! I highly recommend any guy who wants a great fade!

Ted is an one man show who does the best «cuts» in Sacramento!
I stumbled across here looking for a place that I can depend on getting a good haircut at a fair price.
Needless to say since coming here for the first time in early 2011 I’ve been and will be a faithful customer. Also started bringing my son here since I was paying an outragous amount to get a haircut and play video games at the same time, waste of good money.
I love Ted’s and he’s always friendly!

Ted is a nice, down to earth person whose kind of quiet… but he can do a fade with the best of them in Sacto! No appointments and sometimes there is a wait of 20 – 45 mins. but well worth it!
Best time to go is Tues-​Thursday after 5pm.

Ted’s Barber Shop easily rates 5 stars from me. Ted’s a great guy who knew what I wanted as soon as I described it — high and tight, which is trendy these days, but has been seen on active military personnel (guys) for years.
My hair had grown pretty long and raggedy after my former barber of over 30 years finally retired and closed shop. I found Ted’s by way of my brother, who is always pleased with his haircuts.
Ted got started with the electric clippers and proceeded to shave off the sides and back of my head. He switched to a different device or attachment to do the top, which I wanted to be about a quarter of an inch high. Ted finished with shaving cream and a straight razor at the base of my hairline to clean it all up.

Great barber. Even finishes off my fade with a straight razor shave. That’s how you know you got a good barber. Hours are a bit odd, but for $ 10 great cut.
