Menu said «add one of these 4 items for $ 1 more», so i requested to add short ribs to my bento box like the menu clearly suggest, and i got turned down stating the bento had no room, so i asked if the waitress to put it on the side, she tells me the manager wont allow it and that i could make it a seperate order but at full price, smh false advertising at its best.

Your typical Teriyaki place, their chicken isn’t bad. Their short rib is good too. This place is good if you just want to grab a quick bite to eat!

The BEST teriyaki salmon noodle plate ever! So happy I stumbled on this place! Great service with a reasonable wait time. They cook fresh to order so you do have to wait like 10 to 15 minutes which isn’t bad at all!

Highly recommended! Gene has an AWESOME memory, he greeted my wife and I by our names today. It’s a great feeling to be recognized and appreciated! So along with the GREAT FOOD comes GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Definitely need to come check out one of the Hidden GEMS of the food world in Sacramento. 3 items for $ 11.50 and it comes with a couple side options as well. I get the cucumber salad and the yakisoba noodles as my sides. They are delicious! I also love the Spicy thai chicken as one of my entrees. If you are reading this wondering if you should stop in for a bite to eat don’t think no more!

Teriyaki Grill is one of my favorite fast food restaurants in Sacramento. I usually get bowls, which are good enough for a meal. One tip for ordering the bowls is you can switch the teriyaki chicken to the other chicken at the same price! Bento box is also awesome cuz you can order various things in one plate. When I’m really hungry, I order 3 entrée bento box. Another tip here is u can get rice or noodles instead of getting salad, it is enough for two people. Anyways, no doubt on the most price worthy place in sacramento.

Plenty of seating. A good choice selections on the menu. The staff are always polite and helpful. Good food, good service. Good price…

I dig this spot! The spicy chicken, teriyaki chicken and the spicy pork rocks. They’re able to accommodate a large order.

Don’t bother unless you want to wait 40 minutes for subpar food. Slowest service ever.

I’m writing this review to remind myself not to order the salmon & short ribs the next time bc of all the up charges!!! Plus the cucumber salad is just basically plain cucumbers. Not what you expect in typical Japanese restaurants!
My hubby ordered the honey glaze chicken bowl. His was seven dollars though he had wished he got the 8.75 special where you get a 20 oz drink plus 3 potstickers AND green salad! Are we missing the boat today or what? LOL
It was a plus to order the honey glaze chicken because the flavors were amazing!!! Maybe I can talk my hubby into switching when we get home? Shhh don’t tell him! It’s our secret!!! Lmao!
If you come here there is plenty of parking in the back and the ladies room is downstairs. The restaurant is like an island in the back part of Market Square. Kind of uniquely funky but it’s been there for years. If you still can’t find it it’s past Pluto’s!!! I’m sure you can find it now…

I eat here once a week. I recommend it. But they only have one lady take orders, get fountain drinks and deliver food to that tables. This can cause a painfully slow process during lunch time.

Food is good, wide variety and reasonably priced. However, orders can take awhile at lunch because there is only one person taking orders, pouring drinks AND delivering orders to customers. It’s a complete waste of time for her to hunt down customers. I suggest calling out order numbers for pick up at the counter.

Ordered the spicy fried chicken. I was afraid it would be too spicy, but was shocked upon arrival. No spice at all. It was friend and a sweet pepper sauce was covering it. It was chunks of chicken so there was no fat or bones. That made me happy. It came with a salad and rice. The wait time seemed a bit excessive, but it did arrive fresh and hot. I doubt I will ever get it again or eat here. It just wasn’t that great and there is a perfectly good burger joint is next door and it has fries so if you are looking for crispy you’ve got it. There was nothing wrong with the food, I didn’t get sick, it just wasn’t what I expected. You may like it so give it a try.

Ter-​iyaki? TER-​RIFFIC!
I have started to come here VERY often after one of my co workers brought me here to try it out. I instantly got HOOKED! like… crack… legit. I haven’t tried their whole menu but I am terribly addicted to their Teriyaki Beef. I mean, so addicted that they have a 2 item and 3 item combo, but I get the 3 item combo with 3 orders of JUST THE BEEF which comes with either rice in white or brown and or yakisoba noodles + small side which is usually a vegetable. AM I CRAZY? Maybe… It tastes oh-​so-​good though. #worth
They give you a pretty good portion for the price (it was $ 9.50 for 2 items, and $ 10.50 for 3), a great place to go for lunch for those working around the area (like me ^^) HOWEVER, PRO TIP: If are planning to go here for your lunch break, I recommend you call in and place an order to-​go beforehand as their is only 1 cashier. You might end up spending half or even your whole lunch break standing in line and waiting as your life passes you by (#truelife).
In all, I totally recommend this place if you are near the mall and craving for some teriya… IFFIC food. at least the beef. yes, definitely try the beef. :)

Great quality and taste for «fast food.» I ordered a two item bento box with teriyaki chicken and California rolls. The chicken was tasty and was freshly cook, and the California tools were very good. I recommend this place for a quick fast meal. I would definitely come back here.

This one of the best places to eat at the Arden Fair Mall, I wish they had tempura, because they used to have Tempura in the past? they only had the Crunchy Panko Shrimp, most Japanese places always have Tempura, but the food was really good, Ive been here numerous times over the years, this place has been here for a long time. They give you a pretty generous serving and the service was extra fast. The Thai spicey chicken was excellent.

My BF & I both ordered the calamari combo plate which comes with a side of rice or noodles and your choice of salad. You can add more items for an extra cost.
I got the calamari with white rice & seaweed salad.
BF got the calamari with white rice, green salad, & a drink.
Total came up to about $ 20. Worth the price and it filled us up!
The calamari was tasty and soft. Came with a sauce that’s sweet and a little salty. It was good and I would recommend this.
If you ask for a water cup, make sure it’s clean. Mine was dirty with some black marks.

I still love this place after all these years. They don’t do everything great (i.e. their sesame chicken is just ok), but their teriyaki chicken, any of the spicy stuff, their cucumber salad and brown rice are awesome and the perfect lunch for me.

Great place in a good food court in the market square Arden fair mall! Many choices to pick from in the food court but if you are craving good Japanese grill, definitely go here! I have been coming here for years not but finally getting around to write a review!
Food: the food is great… Authentic and always fresh! The grills are always going and it always smells wonderful!
They have a pretty good selection on the menu which is right about the cash register when you order!
My favorite is the Pick 2 items and I always get the Panko shrimp and the deep fried spicy chicken… And for the 2 side choices, I love getting the steamed broccoli and white rice!!!
My lady always gets the 2 items as well and she loves the spicy GRILLED chicken and the deep fried spicy chicken… As for the sides… She loves the green salad and white rice!
Service: quick and efficient… Friendly but never speak too much to customers… But no biggy!
I would eat here if I am not craving smash burger or plutos!

I typically have given the food here 5 stars because for fast and relatively cheap food it’s very good. I particularly like the spicy grilled chicken and spicy pork. I still enjoyed their food but the service is a bit rude, which is why I’m deducting a star.
