I eat here all the time during lunch. My food always looks and tastes great. This last Saturday was my birthday and they gave me a complimentary Margarita! The owner there is a nice guy. I will keep coming back.

Carne asada fries!!! Hands down the reason why I continue to visit. Great food and great service, I definitely appreciate the good music they always have playing and the the two large TVs. A little on the pricey side for my preference but everything is completely worth it.

The last time we came to eat, the food was good but staff wasn’t all that. The lady at the register looked like she was having a bad day since she was being rude when we were ordering. The waitress bringing our food was great though, but they lacked on checking if we needed more tortillas for our meal. The rice tasted somewhat burnt too.

Carne Asada is super good ! But sometimes they over cool it which is unfortunate ! The salsa bar is very good too ! Not a fan if the flauta, had better. But the Carne Asada fries are to die for !

Yes yes and yes. For me a Taqueria is all about the salsa bar, and this place does not come up short. I usually only get the carnitas but its good to diversify here. VERYFASTSERVICE — great for an office lunch — Would recommend for anyone around Fair Oaks

Delicious food! We tried the tacos and California burrito– and different meats(carne asada, el pastor and carnitas) — they were all tasty. Chips and and a great variety of salsas. My guilty pleasure– Mexican rice! Sooooo good. But the best part– was the great customer service. They were very helpful and friendly! We will be back!

The location and food are both great! We usually go during Happy Hour. $ 1.25 soft tacos yum. I love getting the lengua! Pastor is pretty good too. Like other taquerias, they have a nacho and dip bar. I like their chips. The mild sauce has plenty of fresh tomatoes too. Great place overall. Bring your Sac State OneCard to get a free drink. I always get the Hibiscus/Jamaica or the Horchata. The Horchata is pretty sweet. We also tried the Pineapple. Not that great. The cashiers could use some smile! :)

This has been my go to taqueria for years, when I’m in Sacramento. My husband & I dined here today for lunch.(See receipt) the fish tacos were soggy and covered in lettuce and a spicy type spaghetti tasting sauce. Then we were totally shocked to find a short black hair in our steak burrito. We lost our appetite and left a note pointing to the hair in the open burrito. Probably won’t be back, and I wish I had asked for a refund.

Just stopped by here. Ordered a breakfast burrito with no beans. Mentioned no beans twice. I hate beans with a passion. Drive home and bite into a mouthful of beans. Seriously, wtf?!

Love this place! I love salsa anyone who knows me knows I use chips as the vehicle to eat salsa, since it’s not appropriate to just eat the salsa with a spoon. The have great options for salsa my favorite the spicy one of course and their tomato, onion and jalapeño salad not spicy but so full of flavor. Great chips. Can’t go wrong with the food and meat choices. Love how you can get breakfast any time of day or night. One of the best chili verde breakfast burritos around. Perfect size you can eat it and not feel guilty. They have normal size portions which I love not super sized for Americans. Great authentic Mexican taqueria style food. Hidden gem, don’t just drive by stop and eat!

Came here because of the good reviews and the Mexican girl at the counter acted like she didn’t even know what Chile Colorado was… I kept repeating it and she kept saying Chile Verde I said no its got red sauce. I was already irritated after sitting there trying to order for 4 minutes then the phone rang… could you believe she told me to hold on to sit on the phone to take someone else’s order? I walked out along with the other 3 people in my party. Very disappointing. Will not be returning with the horrible service I experienced. Now I’m heading to taco bell…

The food is okay but the service is terrible. They messed up two separate orders for us in one day. On one order we got a regular taco instead of the super taco we ordered and the margarita came several minutes after the food, after they were reminded. When I stopped a girl to politely I quite about a tamale I ordered, she snapped at me that I didn’t order one. Now I placed my order very clearly twice and the girl at the counter repeated it. That being said, I was surprised at how rude the girl working there was to my polite question and then she actually just walked away, no offer to place another order or any thing, just walked away. Terrible service considering there are so many taquerias on par with quality and price around.

The only Mexican food in Sac I like. Killer cheese enchiladas. I can’t attest to any of their other dishes, as I only order the cheese enchiladas. Great salsa bar with grilled jalapeños for the taking.

This was my second tine here and I love it almost more than my favorite place. There is barely any wait time also which is good for me. If you are looking for authentic mexican food this is definitely a place to check out. I still have not tried their horchata which is next on my list. Just a nice little place to have some good food.

Damn. This place really hits the bulls-eye! Three things that I always use to judge good Mexican food: The tacos, the enchiladas, and the chile relleno and this place has it going on with all three! Bonus is that the prices are good and its close to home. There is so much more that I want to try here, I anticipate many return trips in the very near future. Go here with confidence my friends you will be glad you did.

So I went to this little place last night on a last minute decision which turned out to be the best decision I made all day. First off the place itself is on a busy street but it make sense to be in a location like that when there aren’t many Mexican restaurants in that area. The restaurant is nice, clean, & has a decent amount of space. The menus are up on the wall about the kitchen area & you can see them almost anywhere in the restaurant. They have so many options that makes it hard to choose lol the ppl are polite especially the young Hispanic guy, super friendly kid. Now for the real review the food!!! OMG I originally I just wanted Tacos but since the menu had such a selection I ended up w/their Super Nachos w/carne asada &2 tacos Los Compadres w/lengua, my friend had the Super Torta w/Al Pastor. The tacos were pretty tasty, they make these w/a nice crispy soft tortilla which I really liked & their was so much lettuce(I don’t mind I LOVE lettuce) so tacos hit the spot. I need you all to try those Super Nachos though OMG first bit & my mouth was in Nacho Heaven. So much flavor in every bite, the carne asada was seasoned so well & cute up on nice fine pieces which was very pleasing to me. I had been wanting home made nachos like these for a while so I was loving it & couldn’t get enough! My friend said her Torta was delicious could have had a bit more meat but overall she enjoyed it & at the whole thing then & there. Lol the food is seriously great made me so happy cause I was hungry so I was loving it. Overall this location was awesome & I hate that I didn’t find this when I lived right on Fulton. I’m a really picky person when it comes to Mexican food & not many places win me over but this place here I will be coming back to again. I wish they were closer to me lol but they definitely won me over. They’re priced decently & the food is worth it. I’m sure any issues had w/them can always be fixed seeing as how the staff seemed so polite. I will be recommending this place to friends & anyone I know looking for some delicious Mexican food. Can’t wait to come back & try the menudo!

The food here gets 4STARS from me! Excellent pastor, well stocked salsa bar, and the shrimp and fish tacos are great. They make their own tortillas on the weekends as well. WARNING– do double check your bill. Especially if you order anything with seafood. Not just glance at it, but add up everything you ordered one by one. The itemized numbers are deceiving. I hate giving a local place a low rating. I can overlook poor service for good food, but I can’t overlook obvious errors and shady business practices. I noticed we were over charged $ 10 on our bill on our last visit. When I mentioned it to the waitress 3 times, each time she made us wait so she could ring up the other customers(even though she had another staff member who was able to cashier). The first few times she didn’t believe me. Then she finally punches in the order again and simply says«you have a point», but she needed manager approval before giving the money back. She then proceeds to makes us wait yet AGAIN while she rings more orders. 30 minutes after we finished our meal I finally said enough and requested they take care of it asap. I understand protocols and know it wasn’t the girl’s fault we were charged an extra $ 10. But customer service 101 tells you to take care of situations promptly. They never apologized and didn’t seem to want to deal with the issue. If you have errors on the register… maybe you shouldn’t ring up any more customers? On top of that the prices on their register is higher than their menu by $.05-.10 cents. It’s not much, but it just feels shady and dishonest. I wonder how many people they’ve overcharged? Anyway, it’s too bad we won’t be back. I really did like the place. If you eat here, just double check your bill.

My son and I just recently rediscovered this place. I say rediscover because I’ve eaten in here before but this time I was seeing it through a fresh pair of eyes. How kid friendly is this place? Always an important question to ask when you’re trying to feed a picky eater. Oh man, it was hit! Their cheese quesadilla was so amazing! I had to stop the cook at ask, what is in this? He simply answered, «Monterrey Jack cheese». What!?! I don’t know how but my quesadilla’s never taste this good. And the Spanish rice was totally my son’s favorite. He will eat until he is stuffed. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my baby well fed and happy with his meal. So 5 stars on that part. I LOVE their drinks that are freshly made. Melon, Hibiscus Tea, Horchata, and Pineapple. Sooo delicious! And the enchiladas are wonderful. In fact I’m getting hungry just talking about it right now! This is a causal restaurant. You can order to go or eat it there. Plenty of parking and the restaurant is very clean and decorated tastefully. I’m a bit disappointed with the restrooms. It could use some remodeling there, but overall very clean and tidy. The employees are all very nice too. You feel your getting an authentic Mexican restaurant experience.
