Superb Burger Fish and Chips

Soooo slow!
Great food and love the remodel. But it took 30 mins to get a sandwich and fries… Go there only if you’re not in a hurry.

Newly remodeled place… Fish taste fresh. pretty good batter nice and light how fish and chips suppose to be… Burgers not bad either and the new owner is awesome good dude…

New owners and newly remodeled. The food is great. The burgers are perfectly cooked. And the fish is flakey and moist. I forgot to take pics. I ate all the food and by the time I remembered to take photos I’ve already finished.

The restaurant is dirty right as you walk in. The floor looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. Then noticing the cooks in the kitchen, none of them had gloves on (health violation), they touch every aspect of your burger with bare hands, mixing a fresh chicken Breast hand with a new burger or reaching into the produce without washing their hands at least. The kitchen looked filthy, I noticed a green slime on the fronts of the fryer and on the floor near the grills. I don’t know what that was, but it was disgusting. I tried one bite of my food just to try it. I had to evacuate it from my mouth as to the fact my bun had little dots of mold on it. I confronted the person in the kitchen and I guess he was the owner because he screamed at me that they use quality product and only the best things and that if I was not happy the I could leave and never come back because I was not a customer that he wanted to serve again. If you want to be treated with no respect here and eat food that is prepared by people unaware of the health code violations they are creating and then to use a inferior product. I feel bad for anyone who eats here. Be aware of how your food is prepared by them and you will see for yourself because they have an open kitchen.

I love this spot. The folks that own it live their customers, really make sure you leave happy. I always get the mushroom Swiss burger. They do a great job. Great spot!

Really good quality food! We got a hamburger, bacon avocado burger and a philly plus fries and all were very delicious! Also: speedy service for the 2 people who worked there.

Dirty inside, rude woman who takes your order. You have them hold a few things from your burger and she wants to charge me .25 for ranch. Bugs are flying around in the dining room so I can only imagine what it looks like in the kitchen. They added makeshift tiles to the top of their tables that are pealing up and are dirty and gross under them. Water damage on the ceiling. I’m scared to use the restroom. I should have checked the reviews before coming in here.

The best burgers in sac by far! If u haven’t tried it do yourself a favor and try their burgers

I don’t know why this place isn’t 5 stars. All I am going to say is best fish and chips in Sacramento. Trust me that’s a hard thing to find. In this town.

This place is pretty dated, but not in a good, retro way. Limited menu of burgers and fish. Skeleton crew of husband and wife. Had the fish and chips which wasn’t bad in comparison to boardwalk food. The fries were crisp as was the fish. I’m hoping the fish was frozen because thawed fish in such an empty restaurant would be trouble. For the price of $ 8-​$ 9 I’m sure there are plenty of better options in the area but I was a clueless tourist. Seemed to be an inordinate amount of fruit flies in the place as well.

This place has good burgers and good fish. Which are the main things they sell :)
The food is great but as you will notice the bad reviews are mostly about the cook being rude. The man does not know how to be friendly to customers. I don’t care. I just wanna eat.

The food was as good as usual. To my surprise when we asked for a slice of onion in the side of my superb burger (I was sharing the burger with grandson) I was told NO. They said onion on burger or No Onion! It pissed me off being that we were buying 36.00 worth of food. I will think twice about coming back a business that is so rude!

This place just isn’t good. It’s a rip off because the food is not good and overpriced. The only soda size they have (small) is $ 2.75. Seriously? The condiments are terrible quality. The customer service is HORRENDOUS.
It’s 1130 on a Monday and it’s obvious why there isn’t another soul in the vicinity.
Don’t bother with this place. They don’t care about your business.

Horrible! NO STARS!!! Ordered the fish and prawns and was highly disgusted by the taste. Also ordered the avocado burger, very mediocre. Didn’t even eat the food because there were little knats flying out of the food, we just left it all on the table and walked out. Place is disgusting but tried to give it benifit of the doubt, BAD IDEA! Save your money and STAY AWAY! Health department should shut down immediately!

Took 30 minutes for our order. The portions were small, wasn’t that great, left feeling ripped off. Will not be going back.

The soda taste really bad so I asked to change sodas from soft drink to a can which I paid a $ 1.75 for the lady tells me no I cannot do that then I told her to refund me my money she said no no you can have a soda can. Which costs $ 1 so she keeps my 75 cents which is not a big deal to me but I will not be returning there at all. If your food or drinks don’t taste right you should not argue with me about getting a new drink. One sip told me the soda tastes really bad and I open the lid on the cup and told her look I only took one sip it tastes very bad. Very bad customer service you lost a customer because of a soda my bill was $ 22.

MINUS 5 STARS– *****This place was NASTY!!! I took one bite and the meat was spoild. Went to ask for a refund, the COOK was rude as hell Came out yelling that he wasn’t going to refund me… He went on for 15mins. Mean while the cashier (wife) was saying no refund. I Would never recommend this place. You walk in and no one is in there cause the food is spoiled. You could smell that the meat was no good.
And try asking for your money back they argue with you. I’m telling everyone I know not to waste their time or money in this place. Bad customer service and bad food. All around NO GOOD! place should be shut down.

Great burger! I ordered the avocado burger with American cheese. Bun has a great texture, meat fired up to perfection, fresh veggie condiments, and wonderful thousand island sauce and cheese to hold it all together. The fries, too, were delicious! They were seasoned well and nice and crispy.
I’d been eyeing this place for a while and had been wondering if I should ever give it a shot. I pass it on my commute home every work day. But I’ve always talked myself out of trying it out. It just looks sketch, especially located as it is across from a light rail line that runs on Folsom all the way through the RC.
But I wanted a burger and my last experience at the Carl’s Jr. next door just a couple of weeks ago still is fresh in my mind. I love CJ’s Six Dollar Burger, but when I got it at this CJ, the bun was a little stale, and the patty looked like it had been cooked a few days ago and just got reheated. With that in mind, it was either try out Superb Burger or settle for some other fake burger from McDonald’s or Burger King.
Well, I’m glad I tried this place finally. The fresh avocado on the burger was amazing! And the lady who took my order is so sweet and friendly. I liked her immediately.
The only thing I would do differently: Refrain from ordering the fried zucchini, too. After scarfing the burger and some fries, I started to try the fried zucchini — and I instantly felt my arteries start to clog. My breaths got shallower. My blood slowed in my veins. Burger and fries are okay, but add any other greasy sides to your meal and risk immediate cardiac arrest!
Overall, not a bad deal, grease aside. Two avocado burgers with cheese, a side of fries, and a side of zucchini fries cost $ 20. Can’t go wrong. And yes, I’d come back! Some time after I get my arteries unclogged.
