Love the environment! The owner was super friendly and gave us a shot to calm our nerves for the two step class. My friend and I were dummies and though we were going to learn how to line dance. we ended up just drinking instead. The owner then gave us our dance class money back even though we kept refusing. Love the music, fun environment and how the owner is passionate about this place. Be sure to make it here folks, I have been coming here for years. cheap drinks too!

Love the amazing food and free dance lessons. I used to go there for nutty Mondays but they stopped doing that a a few yrs ago so I stopped going. Then recently started going again and now i find myself going at least once a week. Great drink and food specials!!! There oyster and taco Thursday’s are bomb. And have to say there stoney burger is my favorite! There stoney sauce can go on anything even my fingers when I’m licking my plate clean lol. Then hit the floor to burn off those calories.

Great atmosphere here. Bar is quick and good. Great snack food in the bar in the back. Karaōke is confined to one room and not annoying. Music is modern and great to dance to if you like line dancing. Everyone has to come here at least once

Stoneys is awesome! For anyone who thinks CA isn’t country, this bar has better dancing and more loyal regulars than anywhere I’ve been in Oklahoma, Texas or Louisiana! The staff is great too!

Country karaōke. That’s all you need to say. While I went on a Thursday night and it was slow, I can just imagine the place gets crazy on Friday or Saturday night with the huge dance floor and mechanical bull. None-the-less, had a good time. Everyone was very cool and friendly. Although, one drunk woman creeped in on my Willie Nelson. DON’T YOUEVERINTERRUPTMYWILLIENELSON! Just kidding. I’ve done much worse drunk.

BULLRIDINGFOR $ 3! No, you are not buzzed and yes its only $ 3! Um cheapest bull riding i have seen compared to state fair which is like $ 15! VIBE/LAYOUT Got dragged out by some fellow friends to go explore a new environment where twerking isn’t available, yea no tweaking here. Well I am glad i had came here, because it was everything! line dancing and 2 steps already made up for the whole event. Upon arrival i was like not in a good area, looks a bit more sketchy, but so glad they had a security but the parking lot monitoring the area, felt a bit more comfortable with car parked there. Next we had negotiate with the cover charge on a friday night, since originally its $ 7 per person but with a big group we each got in for $ 5. Layout is when you enter, you see the bar, next you into the room where there are billiards, then a dance floor, which you really call dancing! There is also a window by the kitchen which reminds me of a cafeteria. They were offering free mac and cheese, but didn’t attempt to try it. Its like we were too busy looking for the buzz! DRINKS Beers were in bottle such as bud light, and it was $ 4 plus tip is like $ 5. For premium drinks such as beveldere and tonic or whatever is like $ 8. Prices for drinks aren’t too bad, and is average, still not cheaper than other bars i have been to. DANCING It was really relaxing watching gals and guys dancing to real dance steps. Very entertaining and also trying to learn the steps on the side of the dance floor was priceless. We were all laughing and just enjoying the night away struggling with trying to keep up. I am glad one of my buddy have made it tot he event, because we were all shocked he was so good at dancing! we never imagine he can really shake it and keep up with all the dance steps. We all bowed down to him and give him applause! He made our night! Seriously he was one of the bravest one who stepped out to put on a show while we just stood on the side for a bit. Glad he got the party started and motivate us to go step on the dance floor. MUSIC– no hip hop, but there is some rnb but its twisted with country beats in it, or made it in slow motion. Garth brooks and Shania twain would be your best friend of the night with your happy feet. Overall Man it was hot inside, when you start moving! you will get a good workout! Awesome cheap bull riding and it will make you smile for the night! all cams out! time to snapchat, ig, and fb! Awesome drinks! Free mac and cheese! Real dancing where twerking doesn’t exist. Hot country gals and guys if it is your type! Get on those cow boy boots and hat and those checker shirts and denim, cuz you will YEEHAW! Thanks for reading and have a great day!

As my Unilocal buddies and I were having a special late night partying on a Friday-Saturday night(9⁄25 — 9/26, 2015), we decided to go «country» at this coolest bar and dance club at Stoney Rockin Rodeo. This place delivers all kinds of fun activities inside from outdoor social patio, live musics from various of tribute and indie bands and musicians, the finest bar, riding a mechanic bull, playing pool and beer pongs and of course, the most popular spot, the dance floor where many customers are doing their«Boot Scootin Boogie» on. Everything in this place are very friendly and approachable as I welcome there. Everyone from customers and employees are having a great time without all the madness behind. No cons at all! Before my Unilocal buddies and I were entering the door, we gathered the final count to make sure if we decided to go. Of course, there’s no re-entry here, so it’s a first entry visit. We did pay $ 5 per person to go in as the guard attached a yellow entry band. As we get in, this place is very Country style filled with wooden materials and live entertainment everywhere you go! I really enjoyed riding a mechanic bull for the very first time, and it’s so difficult to maintained it, yet I did managed it so hard as I feel the«Yee-Ha» moment! What a great ride! Of course, riding a mechanic bull costs very cheap, so it’s worth a ride! Additionally, the dance floor side is awesome! I defiantly feel bustin’ my moves very entertaining, so my Unilocalers were going wild all night long playing many Country music and some hip-hop/pop tunes too! The parking can be a hassle in the Arden/Arcade’s Del Paso Blvd neighborhood. You can park it at the surface street parking if it’s available. Otherwise, you can ride a bike, walk, or use public transportation easier without the hassles. All in all, Stoney Rockin Rodeo is the coolest & the wildest Country bar and dance club ever that I’ve participated in the late night peek! Perfect for friends gatherings for doing their Cowboy boots on to show some wicked dance moves! A well, worthy visit! Highly recommend!

I’ve been to stoneys quite a few times the past year for college night on Wednesday. Generally it’s an alright experience, I go mostly because my friends like it, but my last time here left a lot to be desired regarding the service. They have a special on well drinks before 11 on Wednesdays. Last week I went to the bar more than ten minutes before 11 to get a couple more drinks. The bartender was chatting with a fellow bartender while I was waiting to be served. Keep in in mind that the bar was empty. I’m at the bar patiently waiting but the bartenders were not paying attention to the bar, instead focusing their attention to the conversation they are having. In the meantime, one customer who was obviously very intoxicated, drops and shatters his beer right next to the bar. One bartender goes to pick up the glass while the other one charges him for another bottled beer and makes small talk. One customer in ten minutes while I’m waiting, and not a single drinks was actually made. After giving the other person his replacement beer and finishing his conversation with the other bartender, the bartender finally takes my order, a rum and coke and a draft beer. It takes no skill or time to make either of these drinks, but he takes his time and then goes to ring up my order. He charged me more than the special price of well drinks, and I explain to him that I had been waiting for over ten minutes for my drinks. His excuse is that when he rang up my drinks it was 11:01. Huge buzzkill. Needless to say, I had a few choice words for him, because I’d been tipping him generously all night. I can’t stand terrible service. I paid for my drinks and left immediately after Although I may return for the line dancing and to hang out with friends, that’s definitely the last time I pay for a drink here. I’d rather pregame at home than pay for poor service

We go to Stoney a lot! When my husband’s friends come up from Napa they always want to come here! We went to Stoney on a Friday night. Be prepared to pay a $ 5 cover to get in the door but it’s well worth it. They have a small bar area in the front where they often run Karaōke. When you walk towards the back and go through the doors they have a HUGE dance area with a dance floor. They also have a Bull in the far back and pool tables up front. There is also a small patio if you want to take a break from dancing and sit outside. You can often see the owner walking around the bar and making sure everyone is having a good time. He came up to my friend and I and gave us two VIP passes to get in free next time! Thanks Kevin! This is the best country bar in Sacramento.

Stoney Rockin Rodeo is great. My favorite night to go is Wednesday — despite the age 18 limit; it’s a great mid week something to do where you can have an amazing time without needing to get hammered. Weekends are fun and can be hit or miss. I’ve gone enough time to know that Fridays and Saturdays can be so packed that you can’t walk but also so empty that no one does the dances. Of course, everyone hops on the floor for the typical«Cupid Shuffle» and«Wobble» dances. So, Friday night on a super packed night can be fun if you’re into elbow bumping and people who either know how to dance and get annoyed with you, or those who cannot dance and are in your space if you do know how to dance. Mostly, the regulars go on the populated days, so you’ll see a lot of people who frequent the area. This gives it a homey feel and it’s nice to see familiar faces(maybe I am or was one of those?). In addition, you also get a lot of new people visiting the area. All around — people are willing to teach you dances and they’re pretty friendly and helpful as needed. If you look like a lost puppy dog and aren’t too drunk and falling over, someone will most likely approach you and ask if you need help with the steps. I’m not sure how busy the other days are — I’ve been on a live band Thursday and did not like it because they weren’t doing line dances; this was years ago and may have changed. I’ve also been on a Sunday and it was hit or miss. The drinks are nice and strong — fair prices. The bartenders are pretty stable and since I’ve been going the past few years, I’ve only seen one or two new bartenders there. The bar service can be super slow at times(frustrating when you continuously get skipped over even though you were there first, which happens nearly every time I go) but the back bar is good and there’s actually a kind of a «line» which helps the speed I suppose. Kristin(bartender) is amazing; she’s quick and friendly. In addition, there’s beer pong, a crowded back area for smoking(though I don’t smoke, I feel like this place needs an outdoor NONsmoking area because it gets super hot in there in the summers when people are dancing). I’d go in shorts any time of the year to avoid dying of heat stroke. Even if you don’t like country, Stoney is the bar to visit; there’s karaōke, pong, and strong drinks for anyone to enjoy. Bull riding at times, too. And of course, people watching is always a fun time when you’re watching drunkards dance. Good times, good times.

On May 16, 2018 we were lucky enough to have our fundraining event for, «A Spoonful of Sugar,» at Stoney’s Rocking Rodeo. We are a non-profit organization that helps moms fighting cancer. The owner, Kevin, is a very compassionate and caring individual and provided everything for the event with a big smile. The venue was great, the food he served(prime rib) was amazing, the staff is fast and courteous and the atmosphere was friendly and fun. Needless to say our event was a huge success! I cannot say enough great things about Stoneys, and highly recommend it anyone and everyone. Thanks again Kevin and everyone at Stoney’s Rocking Rodeo! Mike Riddle A Spoonful of Sugar CEO

I come with a group of Bay Area line dancers once or twice a month, and we always have a great time at Stoney’s. It really is THE only place in Northern California with a good line dancing. The«other places» are a joke– crappy house bands, drinks on the dance floor, and drunks who don’t know what they’re doing running into each other. Not at Stoney’s. This place is awesome because: 1. They take line dancers seriously. They play good songs, and general dance etiquette is followed(no drinks on the floor, you can try to pick dances up, but try to stay out of the way…) 2. The drinks are fairly priced. Not necessarily cheap, but reasonable for a bar. The only downside is sometimes there’s a line. 3. The DJ is awesome and approachable. If you make a request, there’s a decent chance he’ll play it. Even better if it’s a good«fit» for the crowd(he’ll play more advanced dances at the beginning or end of the night, and easier ones like the wobble or outlaw in the middle of the night). 4. The owner genuinely cares about his customers and will go out of his way to approach people and make sure they’re having a good time. I think his name is Kevin. 5. Cover is very reasonable. Some places in the Bay and Socal are getting away with charging $ 20. It’s $ 5 here, and that includes free line dance lessons if you show up early. Kat is a fun teacher. 6. Free late night snack food. I’m sure there’s plenty of people that come for the bar scene, or to ride the bull and try out some easier dances which is totally fine. But it’s a good place for experienced dancers to come have some fun too.

I actually went line dancing! This country bar is super awesome. Although country is the theme, they play all genres of music. I line danced to hip hop music. This is a hidden treasure in Del Paso Heights. I will definitely return

Had a blast riding their bull here for only $ 3… Its harder than it sounds trying to stay as long as you can… Oh and ladies, please don’t wear skirts when you’re not wearing any underwear, makes you look unclassy just saying… If ladies plan on wearing skirts, at least wear something underneath. Hahahaha… I saw a va-jay-jay… OMGeeee! LOL… Aside from my riding bull experience, the person at the front entrance is very friendly. Great accent. Person held my wrist with a passion to put my VIP wristband. OMG! Ive never felt so special in my life… Music is great. I learned quite a few line dancing moves. Other than that, I just wished this place has proper a/c… Its literally hot in there, venue is crowded, and I felt like I’m on the only Pacific Islander in the crowd… Had hella compliments why Im in here. Which is pretty cool. Joey feels loved! :)

I don’t know what happened to this place… I used to love going here and was thoroughly embarrassed when on a Wednesday evening I brought her to this sad sad bar. Literally waited 10 – 15? Minutes for us to get acknowledged by the really rude woman bartender and the man wasn’t any better. Since I’m not a stupid kid I usually drink plenty water between drinks and he said no go get it from the cooler. Ha. Okay buddy but it was empty from all the kids that you guys have in here with thier cover charges that you love. You think they would be a bit nicer. Around 10 the bartender I recognized came in and he was very nice and accommodating and we closed out with him. My god it was no good. Not again.

Hands down my favorite bar Super fun place to go with friends or with a date. Friendly people who are willing to teach you the dances. Wednesday night is college night 18+ and pulls in a pretty decent crowd of young and old! Drink specials and yummy food. Mike is the best bartender they have, he makes the best drinks hands down! The owner is always there which is good to see also. I love the renovations they have made.

Ive been patroning this country bar for about two years now and it has treated me pretty damn good. I met my girlfriend of 1.5 years here and we still come back to our roots and have a soft spot in our hearts for this place despite the mismanagement. I do have a few gripes about this place. STAFF Most of the employees think they are more important than the customers. I have bartended in the past and know that a great bartender is supposed to be the spotlight of the show and not IN the spotlight themselves. A good barkeep trys to know and understand what the clientele wants and to make them feel like they are the life of the party. This isnt the case at the stoney inn. Hell the hot young blonde bartender can hardly make a craft cocktail. Kevin is a great owner but sometimes I feel like he is there just to party, rable rouse with the guys and dance/flirt with the gals. Patrick the DJ knows what he is doing for the most part. But he is really bad when calling out the dance numbers. He always mumbles the names of the dance and could polish his play calling a bit. Great at mixing and monitoring sound levels. Its never too loud or too quiet. COCKTAILS They always have a seemingly great cocktail special, but goodluck ordering it correctly. Its always changing depending on the day of the week and the time of day, so when you they to get a drink in between dancing the drink special you ordered is more than likely not the one on special. Also, the bartenders hate it when you ask what the special is. The perfect example is when I ordered a special this Halloween, a wolfsblood shooter, and the majority of the barstaff didnt even know how to make it. The shady lady is a very successful bar and has $ 2 olympia draft beers, all day everyday, I wish the stoney inn could do something comparable. DANCING The song selection is mostly good, but far too often they play way too many 2step songs and the entire club leaves the dance floor and thw ambiance grinds to halt while 1 or 250year old couples do the 2step. Also I am not a big fan of the dance instructors. Free dance lessons in general are a great thing to provide and hard to complain about. the instructors indeed know how to dance, but they are bad at being teachers. Most of the time the teach a song with the tempo turned way down, and whwn they turned up the tempo the dont spend enough time slowly adjust the tempo. I feel like im going 0 to 100 mph in about two seconds. How about a gradual change in tempo when doing the lessons? Also, I cant remember how many dances I have learned and forgotten, because they teach you the dance and then never play that dance/song again, sometimes they will not play the same song they teach you on the same night. CONCLUSION I feel like I am married to the stoney inn. The highs are really high and the lows arent all that low but they will never stop nagging me. Even when things are really bad I cant completely leave this place for good. Even qhwn I want to. Too many found memories. Plus meeting the love of my life here means I will probably be comming here once or twice a month as we grow old together for years to come. I just hope that they strive for improving things along the way before their loyal patrons give up on the place. Im pretty sure that the stoney inn employees will be able to tell that its me saying all this so I wanted to also write that im saying all this because I love stoneys and I want it to be successful. Im not throwing y’all under the bus I am simply being honest. Much love, Nate

Line Dancing!!! :) Good Times. The bartenders and regulars are like a small family. They are great about keeping everyone fed and their drinks full. Most weeknights its 18+ and they give line-dance lessons. A bonus if you’re looking for some good clean fun! They just upgraded their register to a digital one so the orders are more accurate and I think they’re getting a new Bull! Excited to see this place improve! :D
